Channel 9 is the reason I have to stay up all night to watch a game of football.

OK, if Gus is fined for telling what majority of fans think, then majority of fans are also fined and should not attend NRL games for the rest of the seasons or watch them on TV. So we would see what would be NRL's attendance numbers and TV ratings then. I'm switching to the AFL now.

Yep, the NRL can fine me too. The game is becoming a joke. Some of the rules are bloody pathetic. 7 tackle set after dropping the ball over the line. And get rid of the six again rule. The entire NRL board should be sacked. Drain the swamp and start over with Gus running the show

Gus is right in his criticism. It's so wrong he is being fine. 😢 Gus is the most knowledgeable commentator in the game.

The NRL is only interested in the dollars that their 'image' brings to the game. In reality they don't give a damn about the players. They pretend they support the juniors; I couched for years in one of the most powerful RL areas in Australia. We met in a leaky fibro shed; they gave us nothing! We had to raise our own funds with raffles and sending kids to knock on people's doors selling raffle tickets. They pretend they are protecting players by stamping out dangerous play, but this is only because it hurts their image if someone is injured. It's not because of any great concern for the players.

The game has lost it. Lately I have been having a hard time watching it. The refereeing, forward passes. And this has confirmed it for me. Once they start to control what is said…that is the wrong way. Like the world we live in, they want control. Sorry but that isn’t the future. I like Gus as he will say what he thinks. Will be interesting to see what he says from now on. Stick it to them Gus…you must.
