Alfie should be an immortal he won 4 premierships as captain. He played 1 less test than johns except all of Alfie’s was at halfback. Won 2 world cups won many origin series. Was the first full time halfback to score 100 tries. Was the first man to captain his club, state and country to glory in the same year, multiple rule changes exclusively to slow him down. It’s an absolute disgrace Alfie isn’t an immortal.

No surprises really. Injuries and out of form players at the same time. Campbell and Arrow are their workers and underrated. Losing them two at the same time for an extended period was worse than losing Latrell. Murray has been used up already this season, and looks a boxer who has punched above his weight to long. They have lost their first choice fullback (Latrell), centre (Campbell), two wingers (Johnston and Munro), Prop (Tatola) and both their halfbacks now. At the same time their 'marquee' players like Cook and Walker are trying hard, but with so many troops out, they are taking a pop gun to a gun fight each week. Management need to address their recruitment, they were going into this season light in front rowers and every club needs a rep quality 4 prop rotation to have an 80 minute go forward. As for their fitness, well a good halfback's kicking game gives you rests throughout the game. They have missed that since Reynolds left.
