I'm a Queenslander & I agree usually 💯 but forget about it if I try & bring Gus up with my Dad. I was raised hearing the stories of how NSW flogged us for so long before origin, (the equivalent today would be a NSW NRL quality team vs a QLD team made up of Intrust Super player's) My Dad doesn't watch this show, but he agrees with it all🤷‍♂️ I often watch CH90 over Fox for the commentators. One of the best show's RN is Matty Johns & Cooper Cronk, I only wish it was longer & hope they continue it next year during the regular season, love the breakdowns, the heated "discussions" are cool & all though...

This and the six again given away on purpose on the first tackle so the defensive line can get set. They've got to stop, the coaches use them to their advantage, the NRL has to know they do. Six again on the first tackle should be a proper penalty, that stops it completely. The other, no stopping play until a break in play or the injured player is in the road. Pretty simple to fix.

Well we allowed the Bulldogs to "borrow" players from their opponents because they had 2 players suspended. What is this under 8s? If you can't field a strong enough team due to two of your players getting themselves suspended then it's too bad, your "team" suffers the consequences. This is a professional sport and it's a farce. What's next, players turning their jerseys inside out and running out for the other team after half time because they're short???? I'm grateful for the fact we had footy to watch this season but it has been a joke of a "competition" This "loan player" business has to stop. Don't get me started on "crusher" tackles and trainers stopping the game when their team is under the pump

  • @trystanrichards7110

I'd say the NRL allowed the loaning of players because they don't want their "product" to suffer and potentially lose revenue. I agree with what you are saying but all the NRL care about is money and if they didn't allow the loaning of players the bulldogs likely would have got rolled every game, which leads to lower viewership and hence less money.

  • @NuuKola

The loan players are cause each team is allowed only 20-25 players in the Covid bubble. The dogs had more than 8 because of Covid scare so rather than bring people in who have to isolate the coaches have to agree and share players. The two players loaned out were also not even playing. One the forwards even earned a start in his team because of his form while playing for the dogs. It was a win win situation

NRL is loosing credibility. There's no sensible rules and the rules that are there, are not being followed or held to account. I'm over the NRL's lack of organisation, lack of rule and regulations that are interpreted by a refs own ego.

I think Gus after cleaning up the Bulldogs club should then go and clean up the games rules and the refereeing. 2021 was the best football I've seen in years due to some rule changes but there is so much more things needed to be fixed.

The issue with the nrl creating rules based on what the fans want is there is never an opinion agreed upon by all. Some agree and want the rule changes, some don't. It's no different to the government, having given the power to the people. And now, the state of society? Confused af.

Sterlo says 'when you forget the person in stand, they will forget about you'. There is enough evidence that you need to assess every case where a player goes down on its merits .. you can't say as the people running the game well theres a chance he's faking .. let him stay down. The referees were lambasted the previous week with Joey Manu for playing on. Its easy for Gus to say those inflammatory things when he isn't accountable - he can say it for another 3 years it doesn't change anything because he holds no position of authority in the game.
