The Neuroscience of Psychological Safety

Psychological safety is a shared belief that the team is safe for interpersonal risk-taking. Research shows that teams that perceive psychological safety are more collaborative and can enhance engagement which increases profitability. In this talk, Dr. Tina Beranbaum and Danny Kim present the neuroscience behind psychological safety and present a model for how to increase psychological safety.
This talk was given at MPACE in December 2018 at Disneyland Hotel Resort, CA.
Tina is the co-founder/principal and Danny is a Senior Consultant at Centauric, a global consultancy based in San Diego, CA. Centauric exists to support leaders and organizations at pivotal moments to gain clarity, create alignment and take courageous action.

Neuroscience for the win! We *do* have nervous systems and they are important. Can we build a culture that acknowledges this and supports human thriving?

A few interesting cited quotes from one of Amy Edmondson's talks that could shift our thoughts/feelings/behaviour at an individual level in the right direction: It is hard to learn if you already know. I do not like that man very much. I need to know him better. Am I not destroying my enemies by making friends of them?
