I can't imagine what's in Jasnah's flashbacks. The fact that Taln, whose flashbacks will presumably take us from Ashyn, through the Oathpact, the Desolations, and his time on Braize, is book 9 and not 10 is crazy.

I'm curious of what her ideals were. I alwasy assumed that she made it to her fourth ideal so quickly because she is so intelligent and would understand pretty easily how the ideals work. If this is the case though, then why hasn't she spoken the fifth yet? I'm sure it all has to do with her past so it must be very difficult and troubling for her if she hasn't said it yet. B$ is an evil man to make us wait so long for these answers. XD

@@ThanatoselNyx yeah, that's why they said it might be 15 years before we get to Jasnah's book, which probably won't be book 6 so it'll be even longer than 10 years.

Jasnah is a mystery wrapped in an enigma. Seeing such an interesting person elevated to Queen of Alethkar was interesting, I can't wait to see how Jasnah and Navani influence the future of Roshar.

I’m not sure what happened to Jasnah as a kid, but I’m leaning towards the idea that her mental state was changed magically, as opposed to this being a reference to her experience with real-world psychological issues. Brandon has often made a distinction between the two; i.e. while Kaladin has depression, Nale is magically bonkers. Sooo if Jasnah was experimented on to become a Herald/Radiant as a kid, it would make sense that she got “magical mental trouble” from the process.

Brandon Sanderson said once Jasnah would be, if not a major, *the* major character of the second half of the series. It's insane to think what we don't know yet, especially if her flashbacks are set for the very final book of the series.

I didn't notice the Aesudan connection until watching this, but I just read in chapter 63 of WoR that the Ghostbloods think Dalinar left someone in Alethkar to spy on the queen. There's definitely more to her than I originally thought.

Can’t wait to learn more about her. Kaladin and Jasnah are my 2 favorite characters.

knowing that hoid and jasna are somewhat of a couple, and she loves knowlage more than tounch, i find that theres a change hoid star to tell her about other planets, and mistborns and alike, theres a chage she becomes a mistborn by book10. since more conections with the other cosmere books will be happening by then

Intriguing video! It will be very interesting to see Jasnah's flashback chapters. I think the Aesudan part may have been a mistake in an early draft of the prologue because when Brandon read the prologue on his KZread channel he said Navani in place of Aesudan.

I'm really excited for Book 5, but I gotta say I have neither the time nor the desire to re-read all prior parts of the series to be prepared for it. I hope I'm able to keep up with it when it comes out.

The speculation about Gavilar trying to break Jasnah is a rabbit hole I'd go down. Jasonian's video about spiritual damage in the cosmere lends a lot of weight to this theory.

I feel like the flashbacks in book 10 are going to be as long as the way of kings on their own

5:18 I have two thought: 1) He broke her, because he knew spren only bound themself to broken people. 2) She was somehow foreseeing the future. This would also give Brandon a good way out to explain why Gavalar knew so much.
