Thank you for this movie. I can understand deeply a trauma brain injury, brain concussion and Acquired brain trauma very well. A year ago, I had open brain surgery. The impact of the surgery cause Acquire brain trauma which caused a brain concussion as well. Yes, I miss my old self and some memories was erase as well and new ones. I am still in recovery and trying step by step living with my new self with love, new beginnings and laugh on the way. Love and Light to all.

This movie made me cry throughout it, I have a concussion that has changed my entire life! I can’t jog, ride a bike or even bowl straight. This movie choked me up, the poor girl😢I have constant ringing in my ears, confusion and I mess up all of the time! It’s awful! I hope the real girl got through this!

What an extraordinary movie.How beautiful the story line and the interpretation by the actors. Anybody can relate to a past trauma, accident, lost of a love one, bad parents or difficult schooling and this film is about recovery and self acceptance in a very powerful way. Highly recommended and better yet a must own film

That's lovely. But what was the Grove, and what was the big deal about it, why this closing such a large, peaceful off from everyone? The movie never explains why the Grove is so off limits or so evil.

I really love this movie because I know what it's like to lose a huge part of yourself. I had a really traumatic experience when I was younger and never, ever got all of me back again. You don't know what that's like unless you experience it and it's very painful. I honestly don't know what all got me through it, other than my faith in God, but over the years I've been slowly putting the pieces back together again.

A heartfelt movie with several life messages-and a story that rings genuine too. Ali's story tugs at your heart in seeing her try to find her way back from AND out of all the expectations of those in her life. Seriously, the latter part is often harder than the rest. (Totally different, yet relatable: for two of my own family members, RIP, it took them years to get past the expectations/limitations others would put on them, even if it all was done with good intentions.)

Second time seeing this. I had forgotten it. Two parts struck me as familiar and at the end, Winter Andrew's name. I love this movie. It is so deep but I have memory problems lately. Great movie, well acted. Love exactly who you are . An amazing future awaits you. I was really happy when her old boyfriend finally admitted that she was breaking up with him, but he tried to carry the relationship through, the truth always comes out. I’m glad she stood by her friend Cameron, and came clean with her other friends about what she was going through. My parents got divorced about 4 years ago during my freshman year. These past few years, I feel like I have lost a certain part of me that made me, ME. Every single day I would put every piece of energy that I had in somehow keeping my family together. It has worn me down because it is something beyond my own control. I would give up parts of myself to the lies of perfection and who I was supposed to be. Now, a senior just last year, I have felt even more broken than before. I have felt like a completely different person, somehow trying to find that little girl again that everyone, including myself, expects me to become again. I may not have gotten into a car accident and lost my memory, but when my family broke apart, it sure felt like it. Fast in the moment, but looking back, it tears slowly into the crevices of my heart. I wish every single day to find that free-spirited, crazy dreamer that used to be me. This movie was so beautiful. It helped remind me to focus on the simple things in life and dig deep into what truly makes my heart sing. That one thing that continues to take my breathe away in the most beautiful way imaginable. I don't need to be perfect. I don't even need to be the little girl that made me who I am today. Because maybe she was just for that particular time. And maybe the girl I will become has so much more to offer this world. 💖
