It was a great storyline and easy to follow for the intro into this series. I think the actors did an excellent job portraying their characters. I thought using the Prodigal Son scenario interwoven in the pilot was well done.

Great all around. Immediately drawn in and cared about Abby. Every character is well defined, just enough conflict without being overkill. Surprise ending that Abby is famous (although obviously not famous enough to reach Fairhaven). It does leave the viewer definitely looking forward to following these people.

I am used to English scrips and acting and usually find American movies not to my taste, however, there was something very different in this story, as other people commented, no jumping into bed, no over reacting to to self pity - a really good peek into the series. Trickle feeding to the audience what lies ahead is brilliant. I highly recommend what you have done. Thank you. Well done to actors, writers and crew. May it continue.

Really loved this ! I appreciate seeing a well written series without all of the garbage in other movies and series. I didn't have to fast forward through anything ! Actors each had different characters to them, great actors not the same old model types without any character's. Each one is unique and special , thank you !

The psychology of grieving is a huge topic. All ages are effected by it..young and old..male and female. Even our pets and farm animals express grief and loss. Lots of possible storys here. Your first story is nice..likeable kids..dependable adults. God is present and we need him today more than ever. Thanks for allowing our inputs. I did a similar one with Dick Wolf in LA back in 2002 about his cop shows. He is still going. Best of luck!

Story line great shows compassion, hard work, and a family although in need themselves are helping a stranger. The mechanic also helps a stranger finds her a job and trusts her to pay him back when she can. Looking forward to seeing more episodes.

I knew she was a singer, so the final scene was expected...but since I myself and heading to Milwaukee for the convention after 40 years overseas and taking hardly anything not even taking my guitar (buying a new one in USA). It touched a deep chord.

It's a very good movie. I like how you started it without traumatizing scenes of violence like other movies tend to have. The farm idea was different and non cliche, which was refreshing. Very calming flow of the story. Keep curiosity up with gentle progression. Choice of actors and actresses very good for their roles. The jealous brother a bit much but he does his role as antagonist well. This is for the first half. I am a writer and screenplay writing is not as easy as story writing, so I appreciate the production. I look forward to seeing more of this. Here's a fun story: the actor playing Abby is Emma Jessop, who was in our movie "The Mystery of Her" playing a supporting role. When we first approached her for "Abilene", it was with the intention of casting her in the role of Sam Wagner. However, Emma asked if she could take a shot at the lead role of Abby, and she blew us away with her take on the character. We feel very blessed that she made that suggestion. Stay tuned!
