The MotoDolo [ver. 2] - A Motorized Mongoose Dolomite Bicycle
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Putting an engine on a Mongoose Dolomite never looked so good.
Version 2 because someone else already made a "MotoDolo" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

===============
This was a project that lasted on and off over the span of 14 months. Unlike normal mountain bikes, putting one of those bicycle engines into the Mongoose Dolomite presented itself with countless headaches, numerous nights buring the midnight oil, and plenty of mistakes. Nonetheless, surviving all the frustration and unique challenges thrown at me allowed this project to finally see the light of day.
Also, I thought that putting an engine on a fat bike would be pretty cool.

No issue clearing the rear tire on the drive gear? Kind of surprised, mine didn't clear, had to get creative.
I have a Dolomite. The down tube is to wide to allow the exhaust side motor mount bolts to thread in. How does anyone mount a motor on this frame?
I'll be building one of these myself. Thanks much for the links and parts info!!! One thing I dislike about every motorized bike is that gas tank. They are a bit too small and that big flat seam around the side really irks me. Not criticizing this build, I'm criticizing those kit tanks. I've been trying to find a mini bike tank or super small motorcycle tank. I've found a few 1.3 gallon tanks but I'm not sure I want to spend over a $100 for a tank. I don't want a seat post tank. I've also been trying to come up with original ideas for tanks.
I'm building one of these and I'm worried the motor won't fit. How can I be sure to buy the right motor?
Passing a 30mph sign at 37mph on a bicycle. Nice.

Damn I go faster than that with no gears. On a POS Cranbrook frame 👍. Looks killer good job
How did you mount the front?
looks nice but those gears are way to short
hi,please guide me.how.to.install jackshaft
Very nice. Two thumbs up. But seems maybe geared a little high. Drop a couple-three teeth on jackshaft output sprocket to get those revs up. I think you can get 45 mph plus better climbing ability. Question: How does the basic engine/jackshaft/freewheel kit compare in price with, for example, the typical Bafang and etc 1000 watt mid-drive electric conversion. I'm leaning that direction, just for the lack of noise. But if there's an appreciable savings my neighbors will just have to put up with it... LOL. MachOverspeed
Do you think the hitch would fit an 80cc engine? if not then I'll definitely look into doing this instead, this is a sweet build
40mph = Baddass! What are your 4 gear sizes from your motor to your crank? I'm planning a build.
How do you mount the engine on the side
could possibly explain or to Mount the engine please

Would an 80cc fit without fabrication?

My friends and I, like Bafang -e 1000 , stealth is better, we can communicate by walkie, head sets, no racket (noise )....
