Would love if you could take a look at the Keppi Bench5000! Zero-gap, leg holders included, tons of seat and back pad angles that are also labelled on the adjustment mechanism, 1,600lb capacity, and only around $300. Based on the specs and features it seems like there's no reason to buy anything more expensive like Rep, Rogue, Titan TITAN, etc... but there's got to be something worse about it for that price lol. They also have the Bench1000 Pro which seems like a decent option around $200 as well so looking at that one could be cool as a budget bench. Lastly, the Blazzed Fitness Adjustable Bench w/Leg Extension/Curl seems like a high-quality option as well that isn't covered much. And then if you really want to be crazy the HARISON Adjustable Bench with a preacher pad and leg extension/curl seems like it may be ok just for the versatility but I can't image it's that well-made but would love to know more.

I've heard other complaint about the small seat, recently seen they produce a bigger seat. 🤷 I'm not a big dude so this super bench would fit the bill but still a bit high in my price range 😢

I’ve had both Rogue and REP FID benches and sold them. They were sturdy, overbuilt, great grippy vinyl, loved them. But just too cumbersome to constantly maneuver around. I’ve got my wife to think about and two grade schoolers (5th and 8th) who use the gym too - Enter the Super Bench Pro V2. I don’t need any of their attachments, except the Leg Crunch. I have been slowly “working on” improving an already fantastic bench. 1. Added two handles and another set of wheels. Upgraded wheels to ball bearing wheels and added knurled handles over the stock ones. 2. Purchased another set of the larger sized leg rollers and a longer rod and swapped out the tiny baby ones. 3. Had an insert printed up that fits into attachment post and locks in and allows for upright storage that is also perfectly level. 4. I am purchasing the same extra grippy vinyl that REP uses and having an Upholstry shop reupholster the seat and bench pad. I love the hybrid idea because it allows for using narrower end for certain exercises that it is beneficial for, so replacing with a straight pad doesn’t appeal to me like some who have swapped with REPs pre-made replacements. I don’t feel like this bench is inferior to a Black Wing or Manta Ray. I put up a lot of weight and I’m not any weaker on this than my REP AB 5000, I don’t slide or slip while pressing and I feel just as comfortable. Once I’m done with all my mods, I feel that I will have created the perfect bench…for me…I will then invite you over to lift on it and dare you not to love it! I will also have spent too much money on it 😂

Thank you for this post, I've been debating back and forth between the ironmaster Pro 2.0 and the Rep 5200 2.0, but being I'm 5'5" and I will be moving the bench from standing tucked against a wall to use it every day I've been on the fence about the weight difference of the Rep bench vs the ironmaster. AND being I'm in Canada the shipping for the Rep bench is $135 alone, by time I factor in shipping and taxes the Rep bench is $300 more putting it at just under $1000!

I have the Pro V2 and I love it.. I was looking the market thin for an adjustable bench, that didn't cost too much, had no to very little gap between the seat and the pad, that could be store standing up etc. etc. This bench fits all of that, it's a great bench and while I'm still not a super fan of the way the seat works (as you can't adjust it too much and you can't adjust it for different angles at all.. which sucks), and as you said.. a tilt feature, but other than that.. it's just amazing and it has one of the highest weight capacities for it's price range and I do love the new pad that is wider in one end and thinner in the other, which allows for some exercises to be better in one end and vice versa. I Also use the dip and Pull-up attachment to save space and while not perfect, it's more than good enough to get the job done and also better than other alternatives. Good review though. Wishes for a V3: - A seat with tilt functions, more angles. - A little more stable when using the attachments (also, make more attachments and upgrade them too?? That's actually it for me, other than that I think it's great. Maybe a little protective cover on the pad when it stands.

I have the rep AB-5200 and the FB-5000 but still love having this bench around. When doing lighter weight presses, various incline rows/rear delt (no seat pad or ladder system in the way), decline/sit-ups or just plain rolling it up for cable preacher curls I find it very convenient and easy to move around. Still use my rep benches for most dedicated presses for more comfort and stability but probably use my Ironmaster about half the time

I have the Pro V1 and I absolutely love it. The light weight, no gap, easy angle adjustment, and versatility make it a pleasure to use day in and day out. My main gripe is also the seat, but it does hold me in place very well, which isn't something I can say about most ladder bench seats because they usually don't adjust up enough. I'd rather be secure than comfortable, I guess, so I'm OK with it.

I own one and I think it’s hands down the best for home gym users. Yeah, the benches from Rep and Rogue are nicer as pure benches, but the ecosystem from Ironmaster puts this way over the top. If you’re short on space and interested in the functionality the ecosystem offers, this is the way to go.

Gluck, great review. Looking at the 4 post Ares in the background, two of its shortcomings are the inability to incline and the lack of a pull up bar. Does this solve those problems? You could definitely add the pull up attachment to the Ironmaster bench. Given the short length of the bench and small seat, can you incline with the 4 post Ares?

Not counting the attachments (which range from good to great), this bench is just so good and near perfect for the basics. It doesn’t have the detail-orientedness of Rogue, REP, GetRxd and others but those details aren’t needed for most people. I ended up putting a REP FB-3000 pad on my Super Bench Pro and replaced the seat pad with a REP CleanGrip one which is much bigger. Being a former wood shop teacher, you probably would do a much better job than I did. Regardless, it’s basically perfect as an accessory bench since I already have a dedicated Rogue flat bench. My favorite thing about it is probably using the decline attachment to hold my legs down for lat pulldowns.

On the website, the upgrade hybrid pad has a "carbon fiber look and feel" but they seem careful not to use the g-word anywhere: grip. Does the upgrade pad have some grippiness to it? My gold standard is a Thompson Fat Pad for that feel, for reference. On that note, I also wish they would have a 14/12.5" hybrid width with bigger seat instead of the 12/10.5" hybrid width.

You can swap them but either way the pad rests on the ground.

Yep, most people put them the other way so the front is narrower doing incline work. Though, that's part of the versatility of this bench. You can put them wherever you want.

@@plmn93 didn’t think of that. Guess the wider part hasn’t gotten in my way doing incline but makes sense. I also added the extra wheels and handle so you can grab and wheel around from either side.

But if I go practical and versatile, how does that leave room for overbuilt and color matching?? 😂 good info but ignorance is bliss on the versatility but I really love a solid heavy specialist bench

Bought this bench based on another review and regretted it. I'm on taller side and don't feel that this bench was a good choice for me. It is light so it does have that going for it. It's also easy enough to change the incline... but it's pain to set it to a specific angle as 1) the angles aren't marked on both sides and 2) the numbers are hard to see unless you bend way down or tip the bench slightly.

Interesting. I'm 6'3" and I fit on it fine. I'm long-legged though with a 36" inseam so my torso may be shorter.

I've personally found that benches that are trying too hard to do too much fall short of my desires. I would rather have a bench that does bench stuff really well and then get leg work, dips, etc. with other rack mounted pieces

Still sits on the pad and that's the real issue. Same thing with my FB 5000 and after a few years the vinyl is wearing some.

@GlucksGym Sure, but having the bench stand up straight would at least even out the pressure on the pad so it potentially wears less.

I agree, it does look pretty lame. I got one a week ago and it's actually alot stronger than I thought. They did well with the bench. if possible buy the bench used and just get the upgrade pad.
