Hell yeah! I remember the 58 bc Caesar campaign being fun too, even though the scripting was wonky at times.

Yes unfortunately scripts in RTW can be wonky, but 77BC is pretty good on that front.

A suggestion: You can choose 8 factions in custom battle screen and use it for showcasing their units. I am sure people would like it.

you'd need an SSD instead of a regular HD. it massively speeds up the processing times.

I've never heard of this mod, seems like a fun one though! It's definitely an interesting start date. I like their unit card art they use. One point of criticism is I would say if you are reviewing a mod you should go over all the start positions for all the factions. Thats usually one of the first things I like to look at for overhaul mods.

Yes it's an excellent mod that definitely deserves more attention!

i advising on armenian side of things for this mod, and totally agree, it is indeed one of the best (and certainly one of my favorite) mods for RTW! one unique feature of the mod to mention are recruitable local generals/rulers that come with their own armies: when you recruit one it comes with a small detachment of his own, not simply a single unit. with this we tried to recreate the vassal kings system of the eastern empires, such as Parthian and Tigran's. if you can, do a video on the TFT (the first triumvirate) mod. its also pretty unique in its starting position and scripts. thanks for covering this mod, this bring back a lot of old memories. hope there will be a letsplay one day;)

Nice! Never had a chance to play that mod. I have fired it up though - I found the campaign map to be a bit... ahistorical in certain areas, similar to RTRPE in some ways

What an excellent mod, I've been playing RTW for over a decade and I just found out about this. Began yesterday, and I'm already envisioning an alternative history scenario: Pompey is the one who will conquer the Gauls and the Germanics while Caesar will be Alexander vol.2 and conquer the East.

@@GudeaTW Damn, I had the worst bug ever. Before I besieged Amaseia Julius Caesar was duplicated and next turn it said he died while his dead portrait was still there. Once I clicked him or fought the battle the game crashed. It's a shame because it was damn Caesar and it killed my mood to play.

Bro this is why I wish you went into more detail with these mod reviews, you have already burnt through most of them to get those sweet bellow 10-20 min videos, but now its almost done. Look up Mandalore Gaming channel, he goes into depth with every game and mod, but has a varied length of videos.

Is it possible to play any of these mods without having all the battles be sieges? It might be historically correct to include more cities, but how does it not screw up the game? I've been wanting to see a circa 270BC mod for M2 with more cities in Greece, but the map would have to be scaled up.

It doesn't screw up the game - personally I don't like siege assaults (and I find it's too easy to lose important troops in an assault and they're buggy) so I don't do them, I take a more realistic approach and try to starve out garrisons, which leads to reinforcements coming an engaging in field battles.

Ahh interesting! I played it back when it first released, lots of nostalgia for this one.

Sounds like you're not running it with BI if you're getting as such an error. I also have a guide to installing Rome total war mods on steam that might be able to help!

@@GudeaTW You are correct. I was using base Rome. I was unaware to use BI. I should’ve guessed with the horde thing, but it was classified as a Rome mod so I assumed it used base Rome. It’s very nice to get a reply. Please keep up the good work and keep the mod videos coming! I’d never heard of this until mod until you showed it. Hopefully you’ll find many more to try

Does it have slow paced battles? I know its more realistic, but this is the kind of realism I don't need when I'm plaing

It's slower than vanilla, but not as slow as other mods (SPQR, Roma Surrectum)

That means you're not running it using BI.exe, this mod needs BI
