This game was absolutely great, also, never knew you could actually reject Rosie, seriously someone at RED entertainment must’ve hated that poor girl with how much she got used as a punching bag

This is one of those games where the concept was there, but the technology needed to catch up to the idea. I would love to see something like this remade/remastered.

Duna and all of the dinorian designs look amazing in her style and it’s funny to look at the in-game versions and then at hers

fun fact, there is a post game side quest that allows you to go back in time to redo the final boss, and doing this you can not only see what happens if you choose to bring the other girl into the final battle, but you also get your own copies of the three brainsas your own personal vivosaurs.

Fun fact: the sequel to this game improves upon literally everything (except you can't smooch an alien dinosaur girl). The battle mechanics are more refined and actually really fun, the fossil excavations are more varied and... still kind of a chore, but more interesting (some vivosaurs have all of their parts in a single giant fossil rock, for instance), the story is even more buck wild. All the new vivosaur designs for that one are great, you get a lot more variation too with things like trilobites, aurochs, and tanystropheus (please look up tanystropheus, he's a lizard who decided to become a living fishing rod and I love him). It's genuinely just better in literally every way, I highly recommend trying it Then the third game shits on all of it by making a completely different battle system that sucks, so we don't talk about that one

I have no clue why the hell anyone would say "Oh boy, I love having two out of the three characters on my side be idiotic AI that waste precious resources that I need to unleash powerful attacks crucial to my strategy." You want to shove us into cars? Fine. It's a bit of a hassle being locked into car controls, but the customization aspect is fun. You want to lock us into a partner? Sure - Nibbles is cute and is pretty strong in combat. But the complete evisceration of consistency in strategy - that's where you lose me. There's this one postgame mission that locks you into two AI partners in a rematch against a slightly powered-up version of the final boss. These two chumps are fine - except for the fact that they have attacks that will expend *all* your FP - which is particularly crappy if you opt to use Nibbles for it. I get wanting us to feel like we're really building bonds or something. but removing player control in a *turn-based strategy game* is a strict no-go.

Frontier Is the Banjo-Kazooie Nuts&Bolts of the franchise. And that's not hyperbole either, they share the same problem. Frontier throws out the zones combat system of both the original and Champions, and replace it with vehicle customization

If anyone is curious, if you take Rosie, instead of Duna, to fight Gunash she loses all of her memories. Jaiden also left out the part where Rosie is devolved by the dinorians into a rat/possum/ like creature. Another part left out by kaisen was that dr.diggins was sent back in time to the era of the dinosaurs and survived long enough to not get eaten. Then he became fossilized and you revive him in the present. You also fights ghost pirates at the bottom of the sea.

Also left out of the video: any actual gameplay footage of the fossil fights. I thought that was kind of funny, the difference in what the first thing would be a completely new player would want to see about the game and what someone who finished it thinks is actually worth showing.

What the hell this game is awesome

I love how in the credits there are so many things that are just funny, but then here is an actual secret we didn't know about at the time, and that was Tofu. I think that's a very cool Easter egg

Fun fact: if you actually read the credits that scroll by around the 11:00 mark, Jaiden's second bird, Tofu, is name dropped. Also a bunch of other funny stuff

I have this vague memory of my cousin giving me his copy of fossil fighters and I LOVED it as a kid. I replayed it 12 years later during the pandemic and loved it so much I 100%’d it in 2 months. Its really a great game. And not in the game of the year sense. Its what a “game” should be

I played this game so much in elementary school and middle school. I obtained and maxed out all the vivosaurs just to get the chickens (which sucked but I did not care). What I loved about the game was all the vivosaurs’ support stats and abilities. It made the game somewhat strategic and encouraged you put some thought into your team setup (guan is OP when in support).

Hi! I'm watching this video 3 years later, and I'm curious if you've tried your hand at Fossil Fighters Champions! It's the second game in the trilogy and my personal favorite just because it adds new fossil types, features, and dynamics to the Vivosaurs, we can even change their colors with special fossils and some have new forms when you attach and even more special fossil! It's a ton of fun, and I just started a challenge with my co-worker to do a solo fire type fossil run. Lol. Thanks for so many fun videos!

I love the Fossil Fighters games so much. I've played all three but I have to say the second is still probably my favorite

I’ve actually played this game enough to know that Jaiden picked Tarbosaurus as her favorite dinosaur in the beginning, based purely on the clothing her avatar is wearing, because yes, your favorite dinosaur can change what color clothes you wear.

I genuinely can't believe I say chugga's logo pop up in a Jaiden video. I loved and grew up in chugga's original LP's and still occasionally hop over there to see what the OG's are doing. I'm so glad to see the he is still keeping in touch with the newer generation of Video game content creators. Him, Proton Jon, Nintendo Capri sun, and luchajin are great channels and anyone wants some great classic LP content y'all should check them out. It would be super cool to see Jaiden work with TheRunawayGuys as one of their guests in a 4 player game. I feel like it would be content gold.

I finally decided to check this game out and I've been having a lot of fun with it :D it's a bit goofy but genuinely really enjoyable. I like the music a lot

What’s an eardrum again? I lost mine a long long time ago.

I would like to make it known that my phone is naturally very low volume (even when at full volume, it's pretty quiet) And when Jaiden screamed, it not only shook my phone, it scared my cat so badly, she jumped and swung her paws everywhere and clawed the shit out of my face. So thanks Jaiden, you scared me, my cat, and still made me laugh at the situation... After I left the infirmary because I was rapidly loosing blood because of my cat who apparently needed her nails trimmed, so another thanks for reminding me to trim her nails more often.

I absolutely love how the most replayed part of this video is Jaiden's scream 😂 (btw the end credits are really funny)
