Great channel man!! I’m 56 and ran for most of my life. 2 yrs ago my knees said stop so I changed to calisthenics circuit training. 50 pull-ups 50 chin-ups 200 dips 100 inverted rows 100 Superman push ups I do between 6 and 10 sets 4 days a week depending on the day. No rest during set, 2 mins rest between sets. My strength and cardio are through the roof and my knees are happy to run after my 3 yr old son. Keep pushing man💪 1000 walking lunges on sand once a week for legs.

At 65, with arthritis in both my knees, if I do jog , it’s a slow jog, because slow jogging doesn’t seem to bother my knees that much, and I still feel great after a slow jog.

My wife and I are doing a challenge at our gym with the concentration on nutrition and weightlifting. I’m seeing some really good results and it but honestly, I am very much missing my runs. I’m trying to sneak them whenever I can, but it’s just not enough for me. We got about another month or so and I’ll start incorporating some more running in. I can’t wait.

Hey Joe, capitalizing on nutrition and strength training can help if you want to maximize hypertrophy, so focused periods like that can be very helpful. Still if you want to optimize for mental and physical balance in my personal humble opinion having both is very helpful, especially when life gets stressful!
