Just a thing I wanna say for everyone playing Greece. If you start a coalition with the EEE, then you're 100% fail the Megali Convention. The invites don't matter, but you may want to go down with the second option because nobody attending the convention will lower your stability by 5%

yeah Byzantium and Ottoman Empire's recore decisions are very problematic. Mostly you have to ally with Axis but big chunk of cores requires Albania or Dodecaniesse. wish they add options purchase this land from Italy or can form/recore land if you are in the same faction with Italy.

I really like the way Italy can use diplomacy to take Balkan territory in preparation for Mare Nostrum. There really ought to be diplomacy decisions for anyone, but that kinda goes against the genre altogether. Although, it would be interesting to see if it's possible to complete the New World Order achievement without ever joining or starting a war. I think having a huge roster of spies would be necessary in order to affect Party popularity and spark coups and whatnot.

Cool fun fact! With reviving Byzantium all the Turkish cities not only Constantinople are renamed into greek

Ah yeah, that's a thing with Venizelos (the Democratic leader that you got at the beginning): he can die at any given time. It is possible to obtain him, unpause the game, and then he dies... or it is possible to have him well into the 1940's... It's pure luck. Great video! I might try this for myself.

If I remember correctly, the reason the Greece tree, especially Byzantium, is so disliked is because it eas basically a outsourced job and can be glitchy. It's not a very good tree compared to most any other, a rework would be nice. Also some things you should core, you arent able to. It would be cool for there to be an option to stab the axis in the back and reclaim the whole empire and reform the dual empire of Rome with a western Roman puppet.

I don´t know how many hours you have played but just play lol. It´s completely okay if you lose. Another thing I did was creating my own "tutorials" by giving me huge buffs in some parts and therefore learning how a certain mechanic works. After a while of testing you´ll know what to, where to do and how to do xd. But I´m struggling myself sometimes.

Managed to win against turkey by 1941 on like my 6th attempt, and before i capitulated them bulgaria declared on me making me have to figth the axis... so I joined the allies but wasnt enough

35 Width is the best all-round big division but requires you to get to an uneven number. 36 is slightly worse width-wise, but also slightly bigger and even.

Add to that he could also mean respect from Russia grammmar is different in Russian and although my Russian is rusty if i recall correctly if you transelate the words literally that's what he means.

One big piece of advise as a guy who loves playing Greece, go right side economy as soon as possible and try to get 13 offmap civs by improving relationships and doing the focus Bedrock of Balkan Financial Stability. They just help so much.

Yeah, its tricky. You kinda have to keep the momentum from the province before. Otherwise they will just entrench. Also Airforces can help A LOT.

The reason Byzantium is not monarchist is that the King of Greece was German, and thus was considered to have no claim on Constantinople or Byzantium as a concept.

There is a mod called 'En Unión y Libertad’ if you ever want to play a south american nation, that’s your mod lad

You really were unlucky, since Elefterio Venizelos can last anywhere from 1936 to late 1939, so you got it like a month, but he's amazing for non war politics

Greece and Bulgaria are complex but engaging. Turkey and Switzerland are actually less complex but feel more annoying and finicky because of how their Trees are designed. Also if you rush the Force the Farmers into the Factories branch for Greece, you can get an obscene amount of free factories.

The heraklion convention doesnt fail, because yoz invited the italians, but because you made a coalition with EEE. So it doesnt matter, if you invite italy or not, you just have to ally with EEE.

The reason why Byzantium needs a Nationalist party which in this case is the Triple E, aka National Union Hellas, is because the EEE was made by Anatolian Refugees being mostly Anatolian Greeks and Pontiac Greeks, the goal of the party was to reform the nation with a Mussolini type dictatorship (Similar to the one that Nicholaos Plastiras and Venizelos wanted in the early 1930s). Venizelos himself funded and supported the EEE and even gave them his blessing to whatever they are doing, (that being a pogrom in Thessalonika in a jewish town, which they burned most of it.) The main goal of the Triple E was to revive the Byzantine Empire and they even called themselves Byzantine Fascists or just Byzantines, they were basically people that had enough of what happened in 1920-22 and the mass genocide and deportation that Turkey was doing and they wanted them gone once and for all, the party was later abolished in 1936-37 after Ioannis Metaxas was placed into the position of Prime-Minister and later was allowed to proclaim a dictatorship(Which the king allowed and was infavor of since Metaxas wanted to prepare the nation for ww2 which sooner or later would come to Greece.) After the fall of Greece to the Axis powers and the exile of the legal government, the Triple E and the National Socialist Party of Greece returned were re-made and the NSPG was placed in power. There were plans to make SS Battalions which I'm getting many Triple E would have been the ones that would have taken the place of the Battalions since. Either way, that's basically the story of the EEE.

Just did this for the first time… my run got a little fucked bc Turkey called in Romania… who called in Yugoslavia… on my completely empty border. Yeah that was fun to recover from. Defeated them all but now Italy is justifying on me. I have the oppt to join the axis but not sure if I should or not. Will Italy call in Germany against me? Definitely couldn’t take them both.

@@chaoticflorius where have you been since battle for the bosphorus? everyone has been doing the byzantines lol. just look up byzantine hoi4. bittersteel did it like 4 times, hatless spider did it like 20 times, antasil has done it a few times, isp did it a couple years ago, i think alex the rambler did a few disaster saves as them, feedback gaming, efficient strategy gaming, i think tommykay has done it. nothing wrong with them but to say they are underappreciated or underrated or no one talks about them or plays them is quite the stretch lmao.
