As I've always said about Dominick: He Is the Cody Garbrandt of LHW. He dedicated his entire career almost to just beating the Champ who was the Consensus greatest In his division, and even In creating the perfect style and doing the work necessary to beating the GOAT, he still couldn't achieve true greatness, lost his confidence, and ended up on a huge downfall going 0-3 In his last 3 fights losing all via KO.

Atleast Cody has made somewhat of a comeback and won a few fights in his skid. Plus tbf Cody was very reckless in the fights he lost or too hesitant. He was very capable to winning against Pedro munhoz and almost beat the guy during that scrap which led to his knockout and Even tho you can argue font Basically beat him all five rounds Cody atleast may have won 2 of those rounds enough to have done decent enough. Reyes was never the same after jones watching the Jan fight he was ok however he clearly lacked the defence and was desperate trying to knockdown Jan when that fail he just took every shot until Jan KOEd him to oblivion. Even the jiri fight he was tryna go to war instead of playing it smart the guy couldn’t adjust when it mattered

This was just prior to the rules really being adressed in terms of scoring too, this was when just scoring a takedown with no damage or control would win fights frequently. Soon after the scoring really started to get adressed . Its tough but that night with that scoring system Jones won because of that one take down@@SwampOperator

let me ask you this ...would this even be a discussion if this was a non title fight with two unnamed fighters.....for instance if we call jon jones ted and dominic reyes bill and ted is announced the winner.....i could guarantee that this would go down in the books as just another fight..... my point is some fights matter more than others....therefore certain things will come into play according to this fight that happened.... do you watch the NHL (hockey).... for example some guy had taken a slap shot to score into an empty net in the closing seconds of a game....what happened next was the player got a dirty hit for doing that..... what was the difference of the player slapping the puck into the empty net vs just taking a wrist shot into the empty net. to me a goal is a goal but apparently this is some unwritten hockey rule that you shouldn't do... my point here is every scenario is different...

To lose unfairly is one thing. To lose via tainted judging to a psychopath and Narcissist made it even worse. The way Jon strutted down the octagon exit stairs after their fight was a nauseating sight. Jon wanting old man Stipe is so telling. A humiliation via a current top contender will not be allowed. Sorry Tom. Respect him as a fighter perhaps, but how someone could 'like' Jon or be a fan of his is nuts. He is a POS.

I nearly cried watching this mostly because this is exactly what i have been thinking ever since that glorious night where he undeniably beat the most privileged fighter in the ufc history but was brutally robbed of a clear 48-47 score card in his favor and how his career went from glory to dread especially by the hands of a judge who presented a 49-46 score card in favor of Jon Jones, which at the time seemed so blatantly wrong that my emotions after that fight went from extreme anger to cynical laughter pertaining to the fact that to beat Jon Jones, you also have to beat the opinions of 3 or at least 2 incompetent judges, which unfortunately Dominic wasn’t able to accomplish despite clearly winning the fight no more and no less than 3-2 or 48-47 and ironically even Tiago Santos, who’s fight with Jones was definitely not nearly as controversial, was able to convince at least one of the judges in his favor, thus losing a split decision whereas Reyes was egregiously given a unanimous decision loss despite that even the vast majority of the media members and literally every MMA fan, whose opinion i consider valid, unequivocally and unanimously thought that Dominic won that fight. Little did he and all of us know that to beat the biggest cheater in MMA history, you have to get him out of there because otherwise, you’re not fighting a fair one on one fight; rather, it’s more like one against 4 or 3 if you’re lucky to get a split decision loss. Ever since that triumph that quickly turned into tragedy, I would occasionally think about Dominic and how his life could have been different had he not been viciously robbed of something he truly deserved to win… Now I am not sure what happened to his fight with Ulberg but to be honest, I don’t know if I even want to see Dominic go against that monster because you said it well another loss and he will likely be terminated from his assignment with the UFC and more likely than not at this stage in his career fighting someone like Ulberg will likely result in another KO loss and unnecessary brain damage to one of the most promising contenders that was so close to at least tasting the glory and at least some financial benefits that come with having that UFC belt. Great documentary

It could be a very different story if he actually won that decision and kept his confidence of his undefeated status alongside with the glory of officially beating Jon Jones by decision, his confidence level would be higher in the rematch, and Jones's confidence could be finally shattered as we know outside of the cage Jones is known for scandals like hiding under cage and steroids, and that inside the octagon loss after many outside of octagon losses could perhaps hindered Jones mentally in the rematch, we also know styles make fights so Reyes could potentially win the Jones rematch too with the confidence boost.

Jones was fighting and has been dominant far before reyes was even a name.. also Jon never had KO power to knock out reyes anyways.. and yes I do believe if we can say Reyes lost confidence so he kept losing we can also say Jon lost motivation for being on top of the LHW division for so long.. I mean he did beat gane terribly

@@ABeastGaming he beat gane who if I remember correctly got out wrestled by Nganou so kudos to Jones for beating one of the worst wrestlers in the division but at least he didn’t pop dirty afterwards so that’s big for him because when usada came in, Jonny boy didn’t look so invincible anymore but that’s old news but what’s not old news is how blatantly he’s been ducking a real current best heavyweight and a true # 1 contender Tommy boy, I mean Bones’ twitter back n forth with Aspinal is downright embarrassing and I don’t even blame him for not wanting to fight Tom Aspinal as long as he stops pretending that beating old and decrepit Stipe does anything for his forever tarnished legacy anyway, vacates the belt like Prochaczka and Hill did, and has his retirement money fight with once upon a time great Stipe Miocic who not only got brutally KO’d in his last fight but also is fast approaching 4 years!!! since it took place and beating him does absolutely nothing for Jones’ legacy, I mean he might as well call out Shogun out of retirement since they have a history and shogun once was also considered a real badass, or better yet just vacate the belt and retire already for all I (and any true mma fan who respects the sport and knows everything I’m saying here is FACTS) care… honestly if I never see Jones compete again, I would not lose any sleep over it… ironically the way he engaged with Aspinal on social media he literally sounded like he already lost the fight by saying he doesn’t want to be one of those guys who stays too long in the sport and gets unnecessary brain damage because if a fighter keeps winning nobody ever thinks they stay too long but whatever… I can go on and on about Jon “the dirtbag” Jones but it is mind boggling that he still has fans who back him as he has been ducking the real challenge as blatantly as he had his first heavyweight fight taking 2 plus years to get there and conveniently shortly after Nganou left for PFL… I wouldn’t even mind Bones so much if he embraced his real self which is a party animal dirtbag cheater who puts hands on his spouse instead of hiding behind the Bible every time 💩 hit the fan but at this point honestly who cares… he can consider himself a 🐐 and try to convince himself that beating a geriatric version of stipe does anything for his legacy; I guess one last thing I would like better than jones just retiring after vacating his belt with his tail between his legal when Aspinal is mentioned, I would be so overjoyed if Stipe flat lines Ko’s him in the very first round after the entire buildup of jones and stipe, Jonny literally giving stipe literally zero chance - oh how amazing would it be to see Bones’ lifeless body face planted on the canvas - that would literally be poetic justice for all of his bs and epitomize his legacy perfectly - but either way, if he just vacated and never fought again would be a close second best option because we know he is never fighting Aspinal - ALL FACTS

Most if not all MMA channels, commentators and experts have Reyes winning first 3 rounds. The CEO of the company said himself he thought Reyes won the fight. The biggest shame in this robbery is we could've gotten a Jones vs Reyes 2 and 3, which even though I am a huge Dominic Reyes fan, I believe Jon would've won the next two.
