    This episode gave me the headcanon that Mountain Monsters takes place in the same universe as The Blair Witch Project and the “witch” in that movie was really just these hillbillies mistakenly terrorizing three film students.

    Honestly, love these dudes because they dont take themselves seriously. They are just a bunch of grown men role playing in the forest. Best part is them beefing with the "Finding Bigfoot" crew on twitter. Those guys think theyre saying something by calling them fake, like we know. They literally arent even trying to make it look real 😂

    As a boring Canadian (I don't even say about like aboat), I also appreciate the hillbilly/old man theme. Their accents are so entertaining to me. Half of them lack an inside voice. I'll always wonder and never know what's really going on in Bill's head. I don't know what "real" American hillbillies are like, but I'm just going to assume they're all like this.

    Some of the funniest stuff to me about this show is how straight these dudes have to play everything. Oh, this forest has some dark entity haunting it? Yeah, ol' Jeff seems to be susceptible to its effects because he keeps bleeding and acting suspicious. Let's follow him home with our full camera crew and film confessionals in the middle of a chase.

    I like this show because it really does seem like a bunch of good friends just having fun and nothing more, whereas in Ghost Adventures they act like it's serious, cutting edge research and discoveries that will shake the world to its core.

    My favorite thing about these guys is that they go out in the middle of the woods, at night time, to track and hunt (a notoriously very quite activity) yet every time they converse or give each other directions, they just stay in their full yell tone the entire time. They launch those decibels out of their faces like whatever they’re hunting won’t run off or hide from their egregiously loud remarks

    I used to spend my summers in West Virginia with my grandparents. They used to go to church. Some would say religiously. But one of the guys who would also come to this small baptist church was the guy known on the show as “wild bill”. And I’ll tell ya brother this man was wild. Had main character syndrome way before he was a monster hunter on TV.

    Im starting to think Buck and everyone are the mountain monsters. I think im also starting to see a pattern of them going after an initial cryptid or urban legend at first then get side tracked from another cryptid and then end the show finding themselves after being split up or just other people instead.

    I was such a sucker when I started watching this and believed it until they started getting possessed by big foot or mountain witches, etc. I felt like a fool. So........I kept watching it. Lol! It's like watching Boon from Gentle Ben, Uncle Jesse and Cooter from the Dukes of Hazard and a couple of their friends go ham on legends in the hills
