What of for not explaining how David is to be a priest while not being a Levite ? King Uzziah tried priesthood and was judged. And yet David is to be a priest 'forever' ? King David died long ago,yet The Lord God is faithful to His Word? From these questions, how is the Rabbi speaking the truth ?

Adding to the “Melchizidek” is a royal name, look to Joshua 10:1 - the king of Jerusalem is Adonizedek, who was a Canaanite king. Christians put a lot of weight on Melchizedek (due to Hebrews). Rabbi Singer is 1000% right.

Why don't you make a video on your channel Rabbi Tovia to explain Isaiah 53 verse by verse to illustrate how it doesn't apply to Jesus but to the Jewish servant of Israel from the Jewish point of view? If you like I can host you on my KZread channel for that purpose or for videos to explain Tanakh from the Jewish point of view or for teaching Hebrew through Tanakh. Apparently Christians believe that there wasn’t punctuation back then, since the dead sea scrolls lack it. Context was used instead. But if the Psalm is about David and not written by David, then it would make sense that it is : “God said to David”? I suppose the title is everything and word order?

You need to understand that the Psalmist wrote Psalm 110 for (or to) David. So it is the psalmist who is speaking, not king David. The verse says: YHWH said to my master [adoni]: Sit at my right hand..." The master [adoni] here is the psalmist's master, king David. So the psalmist is saying what YHWH is saying to his master, David. "Adoni" is always a human master.

Psalm 110 is about the 'son of man' - which is NOT a person - but is a 'spiritual doorway' that each person must open by 'faith', in order to have a relationship with God. This is why Jesus always refers to it in the 3rd person. We see evidence of this 'door' in Numbers 23:19... where the 'son of man' is able to, or in need of... repentence; and also in Ezekiel 2, where the 'spirit' (ruah) is what 'sets' Ezekiel on his feet, after which Ezekiel can then 'hear' the Lord speaking to him. I would also point out that ANY word that ends in 'ah' in Hebrew is 'feminine'... which is the context of the alligorical of the 'woman' shown as being the 'origin' of the 'seed' (of a woman), and represented by Mary and even the 'women' of Revelation. Since this 'woman' is the one that bears the seeds, is this internal door, each has their own set of keys (keys of David) and since that choice is by personal decision to repent and turn to God, what one opens (decides) cannot be shut, and what one shuts, no one (else) can open. I am prepared to explain all of this to you - the misunderstood teachings of Jesus the Christ... 'christ' as in annointed by God, and thus a 'son' of God, which Paul points out is ANYBODY that is led by the 'spirit', but Jesus was NOT God; nowhere does Jesus say this. Christian's have their understanding askew, and you are battling those whom Jesus asked for God to forgive - because they know not what they do. You have my phone number, please use it so I can straighten this mess out for those who claim Abraham as their father, as well as prove that all are - as such - 'under' God's sovereign law... as Paul points out in Romans 2:12-14. Thanks. And yes... I am a prophet.

Why isn’t “the LORD” distinct from “Lord” in the New Testament? It’s because it was written in Greek and so the style with which it was written was in all caps until the small alphabet letters was even invented, like take John 12:38 for example where the author quotes Isaiah 53:1 but In the English bible today it appears like this “Lord” that was used in the psalm 110:1 one, this’s not a conspiracy my guy….it’s a literary situation. And what’s the difference between a psalm of David and of David a psalm? Is the latter correct grammatically? It had to be structured properly.

None of the prophecies in the Jewish bible about the messiah who inherits the tribe of David applies to Jesus because Jesus had no biological father. The messiah is called David in Tanakh Jewish scriptures. The Gospel says Jesus is from the House of David. The Gospel claims Jesus fulfilled prophecies connected to King David. None of the prophecies in the Jewish bible about the messiah who inherits the tribe of David applies to Jesus because Jesus had no biological father. The only way a Jewish son can inherit a tribe in Judaism today and 2000 years ago in the time of Jesus and 3300 years ago in the time of Moses is through your biological father. . Jesus is Jewish because his mother is Jewish however Jesus inherits no tribe because Jesus has no biological father which is the only way tribe is inherited by a Jewish son. No one can inherit the House of David through adoption. In Judaism, a tribe is inherited only through your biological father. . A Jewish son cannot choose a tribe and a Jewish son cannot change their tribe. A Jewish woman who marries a non Jew will produce a Jewish son who inherits no tribe. A Jewish woman who has a virgin birth will produce a Jewish son who inherits no tribe. A Jewish woman who has a virgin birth and a non biological Jewish father will produce a Jewish son who inherits no tribe. . It is because Jesus inherits no tribe that Jews today know that the claim that Jews 2000 years ago said Jesus was from the house of David was written by people who did not know that a son without a biological father inherits no tribe in Judaism. . Today most Christians do not know that a Jewish son from a virgin birth meaning without a biological father inherits no tribe in Judaism. . All prophecies about the messiah from David mentioned in the Jewish bible do not apply to anyone who did not have a biological father because they inherit no tribe in Judaism. . All prophecies about the messiah from David mentioned in the Jewish bible do not apply to anyone who did not descend from a biological father through the messiah king David and through the messiah king Solomon because it is a promise which God said God will not change. . Numbers 1:18 says your tribe comes from your father meaning a son without a biological father cannot inherit the House of David meaning Jesus and God cannot be the messiah. 1 Kings 9:5 says Solomon is the messiah like David was the messiah meaning the House of David is inherited through your father and 1 Kings 9:5 says "there shall not fail to be a successor" meaning there will always be descendants of David through Solomon who can be the messiah. . Jesus is not the messiah described in Tanakh because Jesus had no biological father. Tanakh says the messiah is from the House of David meaning he must have a biological father because the House of David is inherited through your biological father. In the Quran Jesus has no connection to the House of David because a son without a biological father cannot inherit the House of David.

Sounds like Jesus is saying how can David sing this Psalm if it’s about himself? Showing that the Psalm is about more than David, more than Melchizedek. Edit: because Jesus says “how does David in spirit call him Lord.” The key thing being “in spirit.” It reads like Jesus is saying the Psalm is about more than David, it’s about the line of priests in general, ending with himself. In other words: hypothetically if David sang this Psalm word for word who is he talking about when he says “my lord.” So then translators did not directly translate it because they are translating their own beliefs into how it’s translated. I prefer word for word translations, but this doesn’t really imply malevolence and shouldn’t be painted that way. I did a number of edits on this, but I think I got my idea out and am done editing it.

The LORD calling down fire from The LORD in Genesis is a little more spot on regardin this topic. Robert Alter called it awkward and rolled past it commentating on Genesis 19

It is customary for the Scriptural verses to speak in this manner, as in (above 4:23): “wives of Lemech,” and he did not say, “my wives.” And so did David say (I Kings 1:33): “Take with you the servants of your lord,” and he did not say, “my servants”; and so did Ahasuerus say (Esther 8:8): “in the name of the king,” and he did not say, “in my name.” Here too it states “from the Lord,” and it does not state “from Him.”

I like your presentation...you seem to be a real true Jew. Thanks for your dissection, you really enlightened me. Well as you know the Psalms are generally ascribed to David and because he was for some of that period. Hence...the wording in St. Matt 22. You are true to an extent...but it was actually not David Psalms 110:1 GOD had addressed and that was meant to be a ploy for the Pharisees because they always pretend to know so much. The Scripture is Prophetic just like Psalms 2:7 when he said "Thou art my Son this day have I begotten thee" or Psalms 16:10-11 which can also be referenced in Acts 2 when it states " For thou will not leave my soul in hell neither wilt thou suffer thy Holy One to see corruption". It was actually the Sovereign Eternal Spirit GOD speaking to the CHRIST/MESSIAH. Well we know the Messiah is the seed of David. And he should rule the world in his second return according prophecies. Think about when they said to Rehoboam "To your house David" when they had the disagreement. To add both Mary and Joseph were offsprings/family lineage of David....please refer to Matthew 1 and Luke 1. But remember the blood had to be precious without sin...so that's why GOD had to overshadow Mary...so the blood came from GOD not man...as it pertains to the man CHRIST JESUS. And of course, Psalms 110:4 and Hebrews 7:17
