A Jewish is going to teach me the Torah and suggested I listen to Rabbi Singer. I am seeing the great devotion to Jewish Scripture and the ongoing emphasis on One God. But the negative is witnessing the profound loss of the reality of Christ completely bypassing our actual experience in Him, the personal encounter with His Divine presence common among so many millions of people down through time and today. Christ is not about just text in the Word, it is about Personhood, new life, the directive to pick up one’s cross daily and follow Him enduring to the end, and recognizing Christ in our neighbor, not just in our kin, but any person, including a Jew. His presence is transforming. He likewise says the kingdom is most dear, difficult to enter. The battle is over our hearts, to be compassionate, to love. To have the universal perspective on the human condition and live it. There are countless many who experienced Him that they had no desire to marry or be of this world, living perfection solely for God. The monasteries have done great good for surrounding populations down through history. Salvation is for those who endure to the end.

My prayer for the Jews is they realize the compassion so many Christians have for the Jewish people, that they forgive the past counter Christians had done to them, that they are persecuted for their foundational faith in God, and that some day they realize we will be one without compromise in each other. A rabbi said that when that day comes, the Jew will say, see I was right, and the Christian will say I was right, and Jerusalem will be returned as the spiritual capitol of the world. But for now, pass as it becoming too much the insinuations Catholicism is idolatry and the ongoing misinterpretations of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He will return in glory. God bless all.

It did not spread like wildfire before Constantine. Before Constantine, only 10% of the Roman Empire was Christian. The Christianization of the Roman Empire was a top-down operation primarily and it was violent and achieved through highly oppressive, authoritarian legal measures. All of this is documented brilliantly in the 2021 book by Catherine Nixey "the darkening age."

Thank you Tovia. Please correct me if I'm wrong. The way I see it, regarding purification law or ritual law; these laws will always be in place to preserve the holiness of HaShem. HaShem is the top of the mountain (so to speak) in the world. The children of Jacob were chosen to live at the base of the mountain, between HaShem and the other nations of the earth. Because HaShem is holy, His mountain is holy and must be respected and honored. Like the Kohen, who must be purified before they can approach the Temple; the people of Jacob as a whole, must live in a certain state of purity, in order to be the people who resides at the base of the mountain of HaShem (which we know as the land of Israel) The Christians wrongly think the children of Israel did the ritual Mitzvot for salvation. No, it's because they have been chosen to live in close proximity with HaShem and absolutely must keep themselves in a certain state of purity.

What happened to get circumcised really be something that would determine from wanting to convert or from converting if they had made the decision to convert? Being a female I guess I just don't understand the big deal with being afraid to get circumcised.

The rabbi is conflating the covenant that God made with Abraham with the Law. They’re two separate things. Paul is saying that Abraham and his offspring were saved by their faith and no amount of following the Law will create that faith. It has to come first. Saved by faith, not works. When you believe and have faith in God, you’re no longer constrained by the Law, but out of love for God, you will do things that are pleasing to God. It’s basically the difference between authoritarian vs. authoritative parenting. The one needs lots of rules to try to control the child (Don’ts) vs. the other is based on teaching right principles so the child controls themselves (Dos). So I don’t need to list; Don’t hit. Don’t kick. Don’t steal; because I’m teaching them to be kind, be respectful, be honest. Angels was probably a poor translation of “messengers”. God sent a lot of messengers to His people…wouldn’t you agree? I would recommend for everyone to read Galatians 3 for yourself. Don’t just take the Rabbi’s word for it. He’s not understanding what it actually says.

So, Christianity was, in some way, the Noahidism of its time. Many gentiles converted to 🐟 16:07 in order to join Judaism🕎 without the 613 Norms. But many gentiles converted to 🐟 not thinking in Judaism at all but following the Eleusyan Misteries🌾 of Greece, but in a easier and cheaper way. Both religions: Eleusyan Misteries and Judaism were hard to follow (and Eleusyan was very expensive), Christianity was an easy and free way to join both or one of them. I guess since then we have to main Christianities one official: the Nicean, and one unofficial: the Marcionite-Gnostic.

Paul didn't "convert" to Christianism. He was, like virtually every other Jew of his day, an apocalypticist. Initially, his assumption as to how the End Times would unfold was mainstream. A few years after Jesus had been killed, Paul had a live-changing, personal experience. (I suspect he suffered from some cerebral defect). He believed he had interacted with what he called "the risen Jesus" in the form of a mystical spirit being who stood standard apocalypticism on its head. Paul was convinced that Jesus had bees specially selected by Yahweh to be the first of a new species of man, one who, upon bodily death, would become a divine spirit body second only to Yahweh himself. All spirit bodies, whether risen from the dead or alive, would be judged as either worthy of unification with Jesus' spirit body, or cast out and sent to sheol. This wild fantasy naturally outraged the Jesus movement people, several of whom actually knew Jesus while he was alive and followed his vision of the eschaton.

Authentic Christianity affirms the dignity of the human being, the family, the permanency of monogamous marriage, the unborn and aged, the marginalized and poor to all people not just within Judaism, the use of reason and the natural law, the human connection of all created. What you describe is not Christianity. When Christianity became legal, many became cultural Christians, never desiring perfection, meaning growing union with God Whose greatest charism is love. There are four sins that cry out to heaven: the taking of innocent life, oppressing the poor, sodomy, denying a laborer just wage. Both the Apostles Creed, professed at daily Mass, defined around 200, and Sunday Nicene Creed both define the secular state (Pontius Pilate) who had Christ crucified, not the Jews. Likewise, you have to separate from Church authority vs radical, unhinged bigots who murdered as in the case of the Rhineland hundreds of years ago spearheaded by a bad bishop and Cistercian monk on AWOL from his monastery. Germany has always been problematic.

I have a question for you... Do you believe in Daniel's prophecies, especially the Nebuchadnezzar's statue? Interesting the four great cultures that conguered and enslaved the Israelis and Jews stopped with Rome at the legs but interestingly the iron continued to the feet then ending with clay toes. The feet represents Rome's residual presents then ending by turning into something new, clay, land. The foot also represents a short amount of time and the end of time, as we know it. Well, England was the super power remnant from Rome England had a iron age period, Victorian, and England established the Balfour declaration establishing Israel as being recognized. America, the clay coming off of the iron, is now the last super power. Are you ready, all these super powers starting with Babylon the head to America the clay, exist while Israel is a nation. Prophecy exists because Israel exists, even at the end of the church age, which is occuring now. The church will step away and the Jewish priests will start taking over, that's the book of Revelation. Also English is today's one world language just like before Noah as prophesied as well. I could go on and on but the church exists because Christ exists....since Jews have existed for the last two thousand years without animal sacrifices saving you annually, according to Torah.

The mystery of the HOLY Spirit, Paul is merely an instrument, rightly or wrongly, for Peter knew this. James knew this, both would have sort the intervention from the spiritual father, they were Jews at the time, but Christ came for all men. Why Did Christianity Become the World's Largest Religion? I can give you the clear biblical answer to that question: Acts 5:38-39 (NRSV): 38 So in the present case, I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone; because if this plan or this undertaking is of human origin, it will fail; 39 but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them-in that case you may even be found fighting against God! This passage highlights a profound truth about the resilience and growth of Christianity. Gamaliel (by the way, also the teacher who educated Paul strictly according to their ancestral law), a respected Pharisee, advised the Sanhedrin to exercise caution in dealing with the apostles. His reasoning was simple yet profound: if the movement was of human origin, it would fail on its own. However, if it was divinely inspired, no human effort could stop it. Each and every single Christian is ONE in the body of Jesus the Christ. This unity and divine backing are why you are not able to overthrow Christianity. The strength and spread of Christianity are not merely due to human effort but are seen by believers as a fulfillment of God’s plan. This divine endorsement and the unity among believers have been key factors in Christianity's endurance and expansion throughout history, making it the world's largest religion.

For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. Traveling thousands of miles by foot and by sea, facing hostile crowds, being stoned (and not in the fun way), and ultimately getting my head chopped off. That’s the dream life right there!" He must have thought, "Who needs comfort, safety, and a good night's sleep when you can have persecution, danger, and a martyr's death? Sign me up!" The Trinity was veiled revelation 700 years before Jesus. 2 Kings4….. An only young son of a woman has died and she pleads with Eliseus for help and he first sends his servant Gehazi to lay Eliseus’ staff on the boy but the boy remains dead so Eliseus arrives and descends on the boy matching his eyes, mouth and hands to those of the boy…the boy’s body grows warm then Eliseus descends again but now the boy sits up and coughs 7 times. Augustine said…Eliseus stands for God who first sent Moses to lay the Judaic law on mankind dead in sin ( the staff) but as Galatians says, “ had there been a law that giveth life, salvation would be from the law”…so God had to descend Himself onto mankind dead in sin first as Christ conforming himself to our body..eyes,mouth,hands…and in pain because an adult must grimace to make his eyes and mouth meet those of the smaller face. Then the second descent has no mention of that body parts ritual and does have the 7 coughs which connect to the 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Thanks! - in case readers are interested. A couple more bible verses showing already the Trinity in the Old Testament (Tanach): 1. Genesis 1:26 "Then God said, 'Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.'" Interpretation: Christian scholars often interpret the plural pronouns "us" and "our" as indicating a conversation within the Godhead. This plurality in unity suggests a divine community, which Christians understand as the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Early Church Fathers like Augustine saw this as evidence of the Trinitarian nature of God, with the plural pronouns hinting at the three Persons within the single Godhead. 2. Genesis 18:1-2 "The Lord appeared to Abraham by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat at the entrance of his tent in the heat of the day. He looked up and saw three men standing near him. When he saw them, he ran from the tent entrance to meet them, and bowed down to the ground." Interpretation: This passage describes a theophany where God appears to Abraham in the form of three men. Christian interpreters, such as those in the Patristic tradition, have seen this as a symbolic representation of the Trinity. The three visitors are viewed as a prefiguration of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, though the full understanding of their identity remains mysterious in this context. 3. Isaiah 6:8 "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here am I; send me!'" Interpretation: The use of both singular and plural pronouns ("I" and "us") in this verse has been interpreted by Christian scholars as indicative of the Trinity. The singular pronoun "I" denotes the oneness of God, while the plural "us" suggests the multiplicity of persons within the Godhead. This duality hints at the complex unity of the Trinity. 4. Isaiah 48:16 "Draw near to me, hear this! From the beginning I have not spoken in secret, from the time it came to be I have been there. And now the Lord God has sent me and his spirit." Interpretation: This verse is often seen as one of the clearest Old Testament references to the Trinity. It mentions three entities: "the Lord God" (the Father), "me" (interpreted by Christians as the pre-incarnate Christ), and "his spirit" (the Holy Spirit). This triadic mention aligns well with the New Testament revelation of the Trinity. 5. Isaiah 61:1 "The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me; he has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to the prisoners." Interpretation: In this verse, Christians see a clear indication of the Trinity. "The Lord God" refers to the Father, "the spirit of the Lord God" refers to the Holy Spirit, and "me" is interpreted as the Messiah (Christ). Jesus himself quotes this verse in Luke 4:18-21, applying it to his own ministry, which further strengthens the Trinitarian interpretation. 6. Psalm 110:1 "The Lord says to my lord, 'Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool.'" Interpretation: This verse is interpreted in light of Jesus' own reference to it in the New Testament (Matthew 22:44), where he identifies "my lord" as the Messiah. Christian scholars see "The Lord" as God the Father and "my lord" as God the Son, implying a distinction within the Godhead that aligns with the Trinitarian understanding. 7. Proverbs 30:4 "Who has ascended to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in the hollow of the hand? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is the person's name? And what is the name of the person's child? Surely you know!" Interpretation: This verse raises rhetorical questions about the divine wisdom and power that govern the world, culminating in a query about the name of God's child. Christian interpreters see this as a veiled reference to the Son of God, prefiguring the revelation of Jesus Christ. The mention of a "child" suggests a relational aspect within the Godhead, hinting at the Father-Son relationship in the Trinity. 8. Daniel 7:13-14 "As I watched in the night visions, I saw one like a human being coming with the clouds of heaven. And he came to the Ancient One and was presented before him. To him was given dominion and glory and kingship, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that shall not pass away, and his kingship is one that shall never be destroyed." Interpretation: In this prophetic vision, "one like a human being" (often translated as "Son of Man") is presented to the "Ancient One" (God the Father). Christian scholars interpret this scene as a depiction of the relationship between God the Father and God the Son. The dominion given to the Son of Man points to the authority and divinity of Christ, thus suggesting a complex unity within the Godhead, consistent with the doctrine of the Trinity.

The belief in a divine trinity is an idolatrous concept, since it is a belief that God (or according to some, a second separate divinity) has characteristic features, and the characteristics of a body.
