The names on her list I love are Esme and Naomi and Layla (but I know a Layla so I’d spell it Leila). I know a Nova, an Emersyn (a girl), a Rosemary (goes by Rosie), an Eloise, a Molly, a Penelope (goes by PK for her first/middle initials but also works with her last name initial) and an older lady named Lois

I love the French name Apolline (‘A-po-leen’). Very feminine, pretty, and unique x

Tuesday AM omg all my dreams are alive that makes me so happy!!

We love the name Nova and have been considering it for years, but I notice it becoming more and more popular. A great alternative is Nola, slightly less used but still very lovely. We also really love Viva. It has that strong V sound in the middle like Nova and the soft a at the end like Nova and Nola.

I love names that everyone knows how to pronounce, but are not very common! So this is a great list for me! I am currently pregnant with a little girl and plan to name her Wendy. I also loved the names Felicity, Melody, and Lynnea!

Esme: I really like it but it's a little popular for me Ingrid: love it so so much! I also like Astrid so I like that sound Nova: I really like it because of the sound and the origin. But again so popular! Emerson: I also really liked the name Emerson when I was younger, but my sister's name is Emma and I don't want to name a baby after her Juliette: love it as a middle name but not particularly as a first name, but Lettie would be a cute nickname. Like Margot a lot! Rosemary: I quite like it, but one of my coworkers is from Puerto Rico and her name is Rosmari pronounced similarly so I don't think I'd use it any time soon. Don't love Sage. Winnie: like Winslet and Winslow, but don't like Winnie on its own. My sister's nursery was Winnie the Pooh themed so that's an idea. Eloise: I am in love with this name! I love love love E names, particularly El names. Laura/Lara: very 90s name where I'm from so I don't think it's time for a comeback just yet, but I quite like Lyra Molly: one of my favorite vintage names and one of the few "nickname" names that I love as a first name Naomi: quite like it, but I've met a few people called Naomi/Noemi so I wouldn't use it Penelope: love love love it! But it's so popular I don't want my kid to be one of 5 and have to be called Penelope S Ivy: beautiful! I went to school with an Ivie-Fleur. I want to have ivy as a wedding decoration as well Layla/Leila: not my favorite but it sounds beautiful Lois: not ready for a comeback yet but I follow someone on Instagram whose middle daughter's name is Lois. They mostly call her Lolo. She's adorable and carefree Audrinna: quite like it with one N like Audrina Patridge Piper: one of my favorites! Zaira: beautiful and I love Zara so quite possible for me Elovie: love elodie but I'm not sure about the v Marigold: cute Artemis: love Meg: not for me Cruz: love it for boys! Zella: not for me Merryn: love it so so much! I wouldn't use any of the next ones Tuesday: really like it actually Stevie: went to school with the coolest girl named Stevie highly recommend Jinaan: so so pretty and unique! Nayeli: very pretty

Esmée in French would still be pronounced Es-May, that's the sound the é makes :) Funny story: my name's Romy, and when I started my new job the other new girl was called Juliet. It really didn't click to me why that was funny until we were introduced to people together and they all started laughing :D My niece is Penelope and it really suits her - quite headstrong and individual but pretty too. I love Eloise, I also like Melody, Rosalie, Heidi but I think my favourite is still Phoebe :)

Lakin. My Name is Saffron And I dearly love my unique name. It's not a person's name. Thank God, My parents named me after the Cheap herb 🌿 in the Bible the Spice. I've seen my name on two list. It's your fall color mixed in with autumn colors. I'm glad they don't consider my name as a human name. Even though I've met some Saffron's They love their name also. 'I don't want my name to become popular.

Lorelai, Elinor, aurora, belle evangeline, Maeve, Isabelle are for sure my favorite names! Timeless and girly and a tiny bit vintage!

Not having a baby any time soon since I just turned 16, but I love your videos!! My name list has grown considerably since finding your channel 😂

I have a 6 week old Eloise Lynne! We loved the name because it feels vintage but sounds modern! We also love that it’s a nod to my husband’s grandma Lois and Lynne was my mom’s middle name :)

I can vouch for the name Ingrid! I find it very uncommon but still well known. It’s true, it’s not flowy but it has a strength and a vintage euro regal style about it!

I am currently crushing on “Ren” it’s gender neutral but I love love love it for a little girl and it means water-lily in Japanese as well as a fairly subtle Star Wars reference!

My bf loves Star Wars, but I do not watch them. If I heard the name and knew you had seen or liked Star Wars, I would think you took it from that immediately personally. (Not a bad thing) just think the connection strong if you really like Star Wars. Very cute for sure. I also like Wren. I actually heard Ren on Even Stevens if you ever watched that.

We had Harley Iylah Joy and wanted something neutral but still pretty, so in the end we chose Emmerson Maisie Grace. Discussed having a #3 and the list is now nonexistent lol x

That's the way mom said everyone did when she told them she were going to name me Saffron if I was a Girl, They said that's not a person's name. That's a herb name. Saffron spice. My name is in the Bible as a cheap herb 🌿 its also your fall Color's. Mixed in with autumn. Well she name me Saffron anyways 🤪 And I'm Glad. Name your Baby what u like. If u hear a name u like for your Baby Name it that. It's your Baby!! Don't let people name your Baby! They Can give you an ideal.

Quite love the E names, Eloise, Ezrie, etc. We're using Elowen with this baby nn Winnie! I hear the reference winnie the pooh however my great grandma was a first grade teacher and had the AA Milne books, I read them many times at her home growing up and it's a great way to commemorate her.

Someone on Instagram that I follow had a grandma named "Estelle." I thought it was so pretty and vintage-sounding!

My grandmother was named Ivory Estelle I've always thought it was such a beautiful and unique name. Actually all 6 of her brothers and sisters had really beautiful unique names but I think hers was always my favorite. She raised me so she was very special to me. I plan on using it if I ever have a daughter. I have 2 boys and was a little disappointed when I found out their sex since I wouldn't be able to use the name.

Fun fact: basil was Sacagawea's (the woman Lewis and Clark owed everything to) son's name. He was her only child and he's buried next to her in Wyoming.

The girls names I've been LOVING lately is Lise. It's a French name and pronounced Leez. I first heard it in the musical An American in Paris and I LOVE it!! ❤ also Liza is a super cute variation

I really love the name nova and novalie and it was on my list for a couple of years but then sadly my aunt and uncle had a baby and named her novalee so now I can’t use it

My grandmother's middle name was Winifred, and I've often thought of using it... but she hated the names, first and middle, and always said "don't you dare..." so I feel like I can't. How to honour someone who didn't like her name is a real conundrum! I've wondered if she would have been okay with the name Winnie alone, rather than Winifred, but I will never know. :) Such a great list, SJ!

I love Esme too because I’m loving the name Esmerelda!! Oh my I’m obsessed with the name Winnie!! It’s kinda like my guilty pleasure name, names I adore but Idk if I could see calling my kids that. Same goes for this unique and gorgeous name: Ludovica. It’s so bomb but same thing, Idk if I’d use it😋

Our Eloise is a month old now. Hoping it stays unusual, it's quite in NZ - taught one years ago, and have heard of a couple of others recently. Ended up going with Coralie as her middle name, it's a family name honouring someone special, and I love the shortening Cora ❤️

i love the name rosemary, it always makes me think of the character from little manhattan and growing up i wanted to be as tough and cool as her more than anything! show that movie to anyone who thinks it’s too old-fashioned haha

Heard a few lovely ones in this list, I've always liked Esme because it's reasonably simple and recognisable but at the same time it's not that common. One of the Users mentioned having a baby Merryn (not sure if this is the spelling they used but I have met one Merryn and this was how it was spelled) And the nickname Merry, I thought I'd let you know about my niece who is Mirren, which is a very old Scottish name, when she was around two she couldn't say her name because the R sound is pretty hard to learn and called herself 'Minnin' this has evolved on it's own and she is now nicknamed Minnie by a few of us. It's not a nick name any of us would have assigned to her but because it came about on it's own it is so lovely and I really hope I'll be able to keep it in use for the rest of her life lol

I’m 32 weeks today! The community helped me during your live a few weeks ago and we have now decided on Evelyn Leigh (my husband is Lee and we thought it would be sweet for her to share a name with Daddy) ... she will likely be Evie as my family love to shorten but I love both anyway! Absolutely love Nova now though! Maybe I’ll go for baby 3 already hahaha x

my fav baby name list🥺 my personal favs ever:Delilah(omg all time FAV), Thalia, Rosemarie, Elsie(for Marilyn Monroe character in one of her movies🤍), Marilyn obviously, Grace(bc of the meaning), Iris, Blake and there has to be more from different cultures! names that i want to use: Juliet(definitely, and it means youth), Vivian(or Vivianne), Olive(I love Olivia but I feel like it’s so common) boys: Ocean, River, Forrest, Fox, Hawk, Victor(for victory) and Sage(it suits for both girl and a boy!)

Hi SJ! Thanks for this new amazing list of cool names. I have a 10 month old named Loïs (spelled with two dots on the I cause we are French and loved the way it is spelled in France). We live in the UK and to be honest when we say our daughter's name most of people struggle to understand. Most of the time people think her name is Louise (maybe our accent is not the best in English ahahah). I love my daughter's name cause we think it is a strong name, the name of a badass woman, brave and outspoken (just like Lois Lane). Hopefully she will love it too growing up. I love Rosemary! Juliet isn't overly popular but still classic. On a related note, I also like Gillian/Jillian a female form of Julian. Winnie is adorable, I would probably use it as a nickname for Winifred. I had never considered Lara before but it really does work well on both a child & adult. Lois is so simple & pretty.

Winnie is my sister’s name! She’s a Winifred - people poked fun at it and called her weenie sometimes, but now she loves the name and gets compliments all the time! We had a lot of Winnie the Pooh themes, but it was cute! We also callled her Penny sometimes as a nickname (Winnie-Penny) haha!
