Hey everyone! This is your boy "Pirate King" Here :) Oh my god, I was not expecting North to actually read this one, let alone so soon!! My hands are actually shaking right now. Thank you to North for reading out this epic, and to everybody for listening to it, and commenting. Your laughter, reactions, and sympathy mean so much to me. I love this community. I'll provide edits, answer any questions, and reply as I listen to the video. Take care all o7 EDIT: 1:07:57 the "moment of peace for Mike" left me in stitches! And you hit the nail on the head about the "raft that had grown teeth"/"dodged a massive bullet". Thank god I see all of that now in hindsight. EDIT 2: I've ordered Meditations! Looking forward to reading it-- it should go well alongside the Total War: Rome 2 campaign I've got going right now ;)

@@HipsterCthulhu forgive my humor if it's a bit black, this subject brings it out of me. I've been through it myself, with a girl aged 17-21; lying, cheating, totally selfish and thinking she was Edie Sedjwick in her prime. She suddenly felt tied down after 4 years and having moved in together. I was in pretty bad shape for a long time after that. I think there comes a point where a man's fate forces him to be alone so he can cultivate the thing that women really want, which is him not caring whether he's alone or not. If you *need* them, single girls of a certain age can sense it and they'll turn aside. But if you're plenty happy without them because you've got shit going on, then they want to be there. That's what it took for me. I'm glad you've got it straightened out. I think you can build up an immunity to that kind of situation once you've gone through it.

@@RSBurgener Thanks, mate, and don't worry I've got my own dark sense of humour so I appreciate it ;) Sorry you went through that, that sounds eerily similar... but I get what you're talking about with "fate forcing a man to be alone to cultivate what women really want..." Or even just cultivate what HE needs first and foremost. I don't blame myself though- my therapist and old school mates helped me see that even if I wasn't so mentally unwell and "didn't need her" she still would've done this, just much later on. So at least I was able to dodge a bullet, and learn. It's just a shame it had to go down that way, you know?

25:00 Yeah, those teachers are a bane on society, on children. They tell the bullied kids to not hit back for then being "as bad if not worse than the bully" - they gaslight us into becoming doormats, slaves to tyrants and despots. Is it any wonder we let so much corruption pass in our society? Bullies don't stop if you ignore them, and their forced apologies are non-apologies, as they go back to the exact same behaviour the next day. They know that words are not consequences; but the teachers psychologically torture you if you don't accept the fake words they force out of them, as if you're the worse kid for not accepting lies and subjecting yourself. I once believed they don't know what they're doing, and that may be part of it, but really I believe the problem lies deeper: Women, and most teachers nowadays are women, 1) don't understand violence (the difference between real and play) 2) are total cowards and more afraid of the bully, and thus instinctively, unconsciously also rather interact (negatively) with the bullied kid rather than reprimanding the bully. They seek to sweep the problem under the rug or look away entirely. They never solve problems they just want them out of sight. I have seen the same pattern repeat in my 20ies when I ran a chapter of a new and upcoming party (that was later completely taken over and run into the ground by political extremists of exactly the same mentality; although they were completely fine with intimidation, bullying and violence against anyone not thinking like them, to the point of harassing their employers, and just running defamation campaigns, that are really hard to fight off when everyone just caves to them out of fear to be the next target. In Germany we're told to "beware the beginnings" and that's that, the beginnings. "The Wave" has been taken off the curriculum, and if that's not a canary in the coalmine I don't know what is. Same ideology that told the female teachers to tell the kids to not fight back against tyrants (ie bullies) and instead roll over and become submissive doormats. It's the same dynamic that happens in abusive cults. The same dynamic that happens in abusive families. I'm not unfamiliar with it. Remain steadfast.

"Mike wasn't on medication" ... yet. RIP Mike. I hope she was worth it. But Pirate King, I really hope you've learned to stand up for yourself since then. One of the shit things about life is that you have to teach people - particularly the ones you date - how to treat you, and if you don't, they won't treat you the way you want or deserve to be treated. Learning how to walk away from the ones who don't treat you well enough is really tough, but it's more or less literally the best thing you to do to preserve your quality of life.

I think chaplain Exile are right. Marcus Aurelius could be a good, well, mentor. Just remember that he wrote it in his own diary, for private use. It were never meant to be public. So when it feels like he is being an arsehole to the reader, he is that to himself. I also recommend that you keep painting. Right now, your in a dark hole of depression. So paint. One miniature at the time. It might feel like your not doing anything or achieving anything, but with each painted model, you take one step forward. Soon you will be able to see that you are creating somthing. And for all that’s holy on holy terra, and unholy in the eye of terror, DONT TAKE UP CONTACT WITH YOUR EX. She’s a slaanesh deamon from the garden of nurgel himself. Read The Horus heresy first 3 books, legion of one from the Garro series, and Luna mendax. You are broken, you need to heal, rebuild, and cut of the toxic from a continent away.

And you're spot on about people in the entertainment industry, I've been in it for 10 years and most of them I never could get along with, especially back at drama school. Most actors I met from the UK had their heads screwed on right, though. They had a real "blue collar, just do the work" mindset which I really subscribe to. I'll be more careful moving forward, and use the hobby and other interests to meet a wider variety of people moving forward o7

7:20 Yeah, she sounds like the real type, before pretending to be a nerd became fashionable. I remember the German Goth Scene until its late stages in the late 00ies, early 10s. There were still those that were well educated, knew the arts with substance, as well as history and philosophy, genuine interests in such subjects. Wonderful conversations over exquisite drinks, long nights, and equally sophisticated fashion sense. But those were the last years before the pseudo-intellectual immitation-culture that everyone knows and mistakes for what Goths were, began to dominate. That's where you find the cluster-b-girls with questionable taste, that's at best an excuse for bad punk-rebellion nonsense whilst claiming to be individualistic while looking like a copycat of every other "individual" in that captured scene and with those same mental issues. Compare that to the prior Goth generations over here and it's like night and day. Imagine it like Nerdculture before and after "Big Bang Theory" where a similar thing happened. Goths in Germany could go to the Opera (especially fun coinciding when opera festival fell on the same time as the Wave-Gothik-Treffen in Leipzig, for which also all museums and historic sights are open, included in the ticket, and the media wanted to make a circus of it, portraying as the Goths ruining the Opera for the high society; when instead the finely dressed older women all fawned over the sharply dressed young men, but oh I digress again) and be catch smiles instead of being out of place. I was told a similar discrepancy about the beatniks and the hippies being the intellectual original vs the pseudo-intellectual mass-copy-imitation, but have never looked deeper into that. I do know from the German punk scene that their generation zero was asketic, no drugs, not even cigarettes or beer, and they refused social security as well, and also adopting any ideology, including the left wing dogmas and advertisements. They were true individualists, you could say the closest thing to a real anarchist. They even had a code for begging: Never the old, for they had little and needed it, never the young, because don't have anything yet, never from others who looks poor or sick or on the street either, only from the middle aged employed looking. The next generation of punks was immediately laxer and already tied to ideology. Now what calls themselves punks sits in the pedestrian zone, with some pity-dogs, mainly approaches people like themselves for sympathy/rapport bonuses, or those looking sicklish and poor themselves (can attest), while sipping beer, smelling of weed, and afterwards going right into the New Yorker (fashion chain) to buy the new Punk-Style pants for 80 bucks with the daily bonus income from begging on the street. These guys and gals take all the social benefits they can get ("to harm the oppressive system") and then beg from people who don't get a dime more, knowing how little they have, on top. If the other things I was told are true, then that implies a cultural cycle of new small authentic and sophisticated subcultures popping up, that later are imitated by phonies for narcissism or virtue points or whatever you want to call it. "I am also the cool thing outside the normals!" when they don't even have substance. They just roleplay infinitely instead of beginning to be. Why make it, when you can infinitely fake it? - In most cases I believe that can be attributed to ignorance. But the corruptors are malicious types, on the B-spectrum, in my experience. The worst, most malicious and most crass iteration, parallel or allegory(?) to this process might be Münchhausen-Syndrome. Those types also warp what the actual thing they claim to have is really like or about, when anyone with the real issue (or training) can tell that it's just lies to fit the personal inability to fill the mold of that claim. Imagine the nightmare of having more people with Münchhausen about a thing, than people suffering from or of the actual thing. . . Most great Goths of the time I only see at festivals now. They tend to stay at home. It seems to be a dying generation/subculture. No wonder with how schools in our country too are failing the children... thanks Ministries of Education. I wonder who's running those. . .

Problem why people cling to their abusive relationships and have hope for change is that they are not in love with the person that's abusing them, but the illusion they've cultivate, that was cultivated in them about that person in the formative years or months of the relationship. They're in love with an illusion, someone who doesn't exist, they keep seeing in the abuser, no matter what the abuser does. I'd say there's an extremely famous instance of this very pattern with a Mr Smith, who I can only hope realizes this at some point and doesn't break from the pain of the realization and world shattering. Even when the subconscious already seems to know, the fear of that world shattering admission keeps you in cognitive dissonance and clinging to perpetual false hope.

I haven’t finished the entire video and I know this is late but here we go. I’ve been in a similar relationship and here is my take: You have to define exactly what “cheating” is. In her mind, she didn’t cheat, meaning she may or may not have had sex with someone. But they may have done other things which in her mind was not considered cheating or she’s trying to lie to herself that she never cheated. She didn’t change, that was all regressed until she found something completely new in Japan and that old life and relationship was reminding her of her past. And her past in general is something that she is trying to escape from. So essentially in Australia, you were her world and she felt like she had to make it work, even by suppressing her emotions. When she moved to Japan, she found out that her world could expand, she no longer needed or wanted you to be in it, basically she felt like you were always holding her back. It sounds like a movie cliche about the “ugly/broken” duckling finding out that she can be a beautiful swan and suddenly shun her old friends or love interests. But it does happen. The unrealistic part is expecting that swan will learn her lesson and come back to her old life and friends like how it was before. I’m not saying it is impossible, but it is a lot of work to stay with that person and have a happy ending for both of you. Edit: Finally. Also I do know people who moved to LA. Don’t. Move to Georgia, many productions are starting there because it is cheaper. Hollywood is extremely toxic and you will probably end up throwing away all of that therapy.

1:02:50 It's even more extreme than that and a by now ancient but still accurate joke in Germany: We have antifa groups and Neonazi groups in major cities. Usually several of the former who all hate each other's for having the wrong idea about the ideology (just as it was during the French Resistance) and only coming together for big events, and the latter usually being tiny and blown out of proportion, but nobody really ever hears about them (when that happens it's headlines everywhere for months). Now the funny thing that happens every once in a while is that when someone gets into such a big argument that it effectively leads to ostracization or self-imposed exile, the switch right to the other side - because in the end, their politics really are that similar, that they only disagree on details. Not just from antifa-group to antifa-group, but from neonazi-group to antifa-group and from antifa-group to neonazi-group. Somehow that still is not enough to wake people up that we're just caught in a civil more between two major denominations of the same ideology that try to make us believe that we can only choose between them or stand between them, instead of moving outside out of that stadium and leave them to their most stupid version of sportsball, and instead playing something else. Like Warhammer.

Not a guy but there you go : I had the best long distance relationship during a couple of years. She was in a really shitty broken family, but we visited really often and all was the best. But when she moved to uni in my hometown, literally as soon as she'd unpacked her stuff she turned toxic as hell. Within a week she smacked me in the face and accused me of being weak for not hitting back. I took my toothbrush my dirty socks and left. So that long planned new life together crashed badly one week in 😂 Only for me to bounce into my best years of my life as I to was starting university 🎉❤❤❤❤🎉 It's only later that I got back into the hobby so you'll have to wait for a hobby nightmare ! That scream though! 😂😂😂😂😂

Even the merest mention of letting someone else into your bedroom or an "open relationship" is always translated as "I've got bored of us/you and our relationship but I want to have a bit of fun or do something exotic before I walk out of the door". If your partner ever suggests such things, your relationship is essentially over already. If you want to sleep around, that's fine, but do it normally, as in- don't try to combine an otherwise conventional relationship with it. Don't keep someone (who is essentially an ex-with-benefits at this point) tethered to you as a backup in a weird limbo when they're still emotionally invested in you. It's genuinely cruel.

Pirate king here :) Agreed. I actually meant to rewrite that part where I talked about open relationship "rules" and instead just say "If your partner suggests an open relationship- LEAVE!", but I must've forgotten to do that, because the story was so long. You hit the nail on the head there, and I only realise that now :/ Live and learn 💪

He obviously won't show his face on here because he doesn't want us finding out he actually has 3 Nobel prizes in psychology. Thats my newest conspiracy theory and I'm sticking to it

As an australian can confirm our women are phycos, I've knows 7 people like the one described here. Haven't dated in 5 years bcease just had to many bad experiences... Its not just the bugs and animals that are vemomus here in aus. The open relationship thing made me so mad to, this poor guy man... "I need to experience sex with other people" I hope she gets a STI. That guy needs to experience a normal life let alone relationship with a normal person just so incredibly selfish. Hope he recovers. Another thing is don't blame him for wanting to stay with her as stated she was one of the best things to happen to him, why cant women brake up with guys, instead they just do this shit play games and ccasue more damage insded of just saying were done, if ur guy inst getting the hint he wont get the next one u need to end no go thermonucler and destroy someone mental state that's actually evil. Mentaly ill women can be given everything and still find a way to make it abuse when they are the abusers...

To the Pirate King. Do NOT move to Los Angeles. Please. I listened to your whole story and my jaw dropped when you mentioned that. I live in CA and avoid LA and SF like the plague. The people i know who are orbiting around the movie industry there are miserable. The city is filthy. Its absolutely overrun with homeless and drug addicts. Plus hollywood is undeniably dying. Many creatives have already moved out of the city there, and other cities are seeing a boom (like Atlanta). I sincerely hope you stayed in Canada.

Also, seems to me that the girlfriend got a case of extreme feminism, hypergamy, extreme liberalism, started hanging with the wrong crowd and monkey branching. Plus mental issues.
