The most electric moment in college football history
Спорт
In 2019 Penn State hosted Michigan for its "White Out" game tradition. With over a full capacity the crowd sang "Mo Bamba" by Sheck Wes so loud that Michigan was forced to use a timeout before the first play.

It's part of the game and it's called the home field advantage. What is uncool is when an NFL team would pump fan noise through the speakers to interfere with the visiting team. Or when the Giants would open large doors at the end zone when the opposing team was attempting a FG, hoping the extra wind would result in a miss. That is just wrong.

Wasn't at this game, but I was at the Auburn whiteout. Seeing it on a TV and watching it in person are 2 completely different things. The raw power in that stadium is unreal. It's so loud that it's quiet, because you literally can't hear anything. As a Penn State student, I never really understood why all these fans were so die-hard with their support for that team, Until that moment. In that moment, I realized what it was. It's something unexplainable. A bond shared by nearly 110,000 people all screaming at the top of their lungs. I'd agree with you that a night Whiteout is a greater homefield advantage than a noon Stripeout. But even at Noon, Beaver Stadium is gonna be rocking when the Buckeyes come to town.

you're right on the money with 10-14, and i've seen a few dozen games there, whiteout is next level football. i can't imagine being in that as a visitor lol how awesome is that. or just being idaho in 2019, how overmatched can you get, and then the fans are just louder than anything you've seen in whatever western stadium you've been to as fan, much less as a player
I grew up and still live about an hour away from Penn State. My dad took me to my first white out game when I was in 8th grade and still remember it vividly to this day, I am now 29. I knew something was different was when the band was in the tunnel ready to come out and they were all jumping up and down in the tunnel like if they were the football team LOL. When you are at a Whiteout it will make you feel like you can run through a brick wall.
Sitting front row student section for this game, was on tv for a couple seconds, camera right in my face, second best game I’ve been at. 2016 vs OSU takes the cake
Crazy how it only gets louder after the timeout

Ha. I was there and we were just pumped beyond belief before that time out. After it we realized that we had to power to affect the outcome of the game and we went insane. None of us could speak on the ride home, we'd all lost our voices.
I work for psu for game day operation. I can say there where many of us aww struck that night from the energy of the fans. I can say there where things happing behind the scenes that night that never happened before or since. The energy in that stadium that night was incredible and has not been replicated since.
Maaaan I hope they put this shit on ncaa 25! I want the stadium shaking when my 17 yo qb from Central Valley takes us do the promise land lol
This is almost certainly the best atmosphere/start to a game anywhere. But the Kick six is the most electrifying “moment” in CFB history. That was genuinely indescribable

Yeah, that was crazy.
I attended this game and my voice was completely gone by the end. Love me some White Out, we are!
So glad someone clipped this! Used to scrub through the full game sky cam footage. The fact that Michigan had to burn a timeout with literally the entire half left to play. Amazing!
Nothing is more exciting than the pregame entrance, hype music, fireworks and….a touchback. Bring back the kick return already!
As a Michigan fan I still appreciate Penn State fan base and happy valley this is SICK! 🤮 🔥🔥🔥

I still come back to this video, you know it's loud as hell when you can barely hear the ref calling the timeout on michigan LMFAO
Man this is a players dream on either team this is your time to show out embrace the moment and love every second of it
This place is on my bucket list. Gotta be a white out game though. As electric as it is on camera, I can’t imagine what it’s like in person

The only thing we ask is that you wear white.
Didn't want this to end. There is nothing like college football. Nothing.
Been there to witness it when my son played there as the visiting team. Also great atmospheres at Wisconsin, Michigan and Notre Dame.
I've regretted not going to that game (I didn't have tickets), but last night when we forced a Minnesota false start on their very first play makes up for it. Loudest thing I've ever heard in person. In the student section it hit 120 dB
This gave me chills
Notice on the second play how #74 had to tap the leg of the center to let him know when the QB was ready for the snap. Gave me chills how loud the crowd is. I love sports so much.
I'm a Buckeye, but you got to give PSU props for the "White Out". Best atmosphere anywhere.
I met Shea Patterson right after he transferred from Ole Miss and before his first ever game at Michigan. I can’t imagine the thoughts going through that man’s mind while he endured the roar of the crowd on that fateful October 19 evening 4 years ago when he almost pulled off the upset. Incredible game to watch for any and all who witnessed it.
As a Michigan this just gives me chills and I can't wait for the maize out in the big house this year.
That transition from for those about to rock to zombie nation is absolute class
Been a season ticket holder since 2003 with my dad, and that one was up there for sure with the Nebraska game, The 06 OSU game, and the 2016 OSU game. If you havent experienced a Beaver Stadium White Out whether you're a PSU fan or not, Do it. You won't regret it I promise
While a life long Michigan fan have always loved Penn St. as well they do college football right.
This is literally why college football is the best man
2019 was an awesome year, and fall 2019 college football was elite.
That We Will Rock You into the O Fortuna with deafening crowd noise after the timeout………..absolute CHILLS
This has me ready for the 2023 season already lol🤟🏾
Man this is hyping me up for the new cfb season to start.
i was at this game as a Michigan fan and still top 3 game experience as a fan, especially being able to watch saquons final season during prime time. i was also at ‘21 game vs Ohio State which tops my list.

definitely all around pretty damn cool. from a Georgia fan. respect.
Went to the checker neyland tennessee vs a&m game. Absolutely unreal and left me speechless. Penn st whiteout is next on my bucket list for sure
Mad respect for y'alls whiteouts I do hope some day to experience it ;)
Michigan fan here, but you absolutely cannot dispute how sick this is 🔥
Penn State players jumping around showing appreciation to the fans is so electric. So incredible
Chills every time
I'm proud to be a Penn Stater
I was a 20+ year season ticket holder, but gave them up for a variety of reasons including age, travel issues and the inability of this coaching staff to win against Michigan and Ohio State. It gets difficult to invest a great deal of emotion, hope and energy then have a 3 hour drive feeling emotionally drained when you know the staff is not up to the task and another big game is lost. White outs are truly amazing things but a victory is better. The fans and students are being cheated by an coach and administration that cannot even be near .500 against the good programs. There is no substitute for victory. Nuff said.

@@mijkosnook7787 I find it novel that you consider less than 120 words a novel. Let us call it a vignette. However rather than reproaching me on my premise you took to the discredited tactic of an ad hominem attack. Are you sure you did not graduate from Pitt? We will see if this staff can actually beat the Michiganders and the Buckeyes this year. History is on my side of the argument however we will see.

Was at a white out game in 1996, the famous snow fight, it was so much fun even though Michigan lost!
I watch this whenever I wanna feel something. This makes me feel something. Can't wait for psu football this season
Proud to say I was there
imagine how loud the crowd would be if they would actually win more than 1 big game every 5 years
I get chills just watching the video and it feels electrifying just imagine being at the actual game
That was awesome. The fans more than did their job. Got a new subscriber. Was fun to watch. Great vidoe
This is an incredible clip, but I still don't get how it was allowed for PSU to pump in music until 6 seconds left on the play clock. Every college game I've been to the music/band stops playing immediately when the play clock starts.

@@anderson74 Maybe and it doesn't really matter. But, if you watch the Michigan players taking the field from the beginning it really seems to me that all of them are waiting around for the music to stop. The QB literally doesn't get set until 5 seconds left which happens to be right after the music stops. It's also odd that the ref is standing over the ball until 20 seconds left on the playclock. Just all of it makes it seem that they weren't aware the playclock had started running so soon. It's not a noise/headset issue, they would already have the playcall before even getting on the field as it's the first play of the game. Also, in college coaches can't talk to the QB via a headset.

Also, watching the very next play in the video the music stops before the play clock begins and the ref is not standing over the ball while the playclock is running.

Michigan alum here. Don't know about the most electric moment in college football history, but I do love how PSU nation gets behind their team. That white-out is impressive and cool and you have to respect that. Great tradition I hope lasts for generations to come.
This is absolutely insane. I couldn’t hear the ref make the delay of game call. 100,000+ Wildin to Mo Bamba. This is the single most intimidating crowd moment I’ve seen in sports.
Amazing- but let's not overlook the fact that Penn State has a losing record during white out games.
