Son of George Bluth Sr. they started using it in 2000. Metallica was “relevant” then. If you want to take a shot at VT, then get on them about stealing the entrance music used by the Yankees for Mariano Rivera. They started in 1999 and used it for 2 seasons when their All Star closer was coming in from the bullpen.

Notre Dame fan who made the trip to Blacksburg. Amazing college town. VT fans were friendly and very welcoming. Lane Stadium is one of the best sporting venues I have ever been too. I still get goosebumps watching this. Glad I made the trip! Go Irish!

I have a brother who goes to Notre Dame but my parents are VT so we have season tickets to VT and it was one of the coolest things ever.

Lifelong ND fan but even I can admit, this is the best entrance in college football, hands down. Goosebumps every single time

Hat's off to ESPN for the best coverage of a VT game opening ever! The multiple camera angles, inclusion of Metallica opening (and continuation of the song - finally!) really capture the amazing spirit that's present in the stadium. Awesome!

Power T is awsome but the Hokies got it going on and I'm a Tennessee boy, orange runs thru my veins.

The feeling coming out of that tunnel must be incredible.. The highlight of most of their lives I would imagine.

They really should make a point to always get the visiting team out on the field first, before the song starts... Just so they have to witness the crowd amp up and seeing VT storm the field to Enter the Sandman

As an Oregon State fan who lives in VA because of the Navy I was able to go to last years clemson game and this game. Lane Stadium is truly the most hype stadium I’ve been to ever. And I literally just went to Happy Valley for the Penn State vs Ohio State game last week so that’s saying something

I love how Virginia Tech also honors their ROTC cadets.

I was at the game with my parents. I'm a VT alum and my dad is a ND alum. VT had the lead at halftime, but then played a terrible 2nd half and ND won. I was very disappointed, but I was glad to experience the game with my parents. They live in NY and I live in FL, so we don't always see each other. But experiences like this is what you will remember forever.

The stadium, the attendance, the song and its just a college game. Absolutely brilliant! America does college sports right!

Im a lifelong Bama fan but let me tell yall something ... VTech this is lit! Good luck to yall this year. Love this entrance.

I just left Cali (Bay Area - August 4th) to go to Egypt since my wife's visa expired in April & she was stuck there due to Covid 19 (not being able to renew her visa & our immigration route has came to a halt). Not wanting to talk my wife in letting me take our 4 year old daughter back to tUSA, I finally left to come to Egypt. I've been here off & on since 2013 so no big deal. At least we are not forced to wear masks, things are all open and no restrictions unless you're a tourist. I don't want Biden nor Trump but I would rather have Trump bcuz Biden said he would shut down the country if he was elected and the scientists and doctors advised him to do it.

He had to downplay it in order to keep the country open. I'm European, and this is sooooo cool to watch. I would love it to be at a night like that and not even need to know a single player. That atmosphere alone is awesome. Look at that crowd! For a school team!? Our major league doesn't even come close. Great stuff.

Nightmare AJ Bushey Someone's Yandere yeah no, the Carrier dome isnt even that good, FSU has one of the best entrances as well as atmospheres, and Florida has a even better atmosphere, our entrance is a lot better then the Orange, but y’all can’t compare to the FSU or VT
