Sad that such a great song is used for the entrance theme for the crappiest college team in football .

If the O line can get any push or give QB1 a couple seconds to read field, he has if from their. Wish we could get 1 in the portal. OT from Ark? Going to be special this year. Go HOKIES

They said Georgia is top 10 draft pick, after seeing what happened to Kitley it would be best to go on to the W. Great season proud of all these HOKIEs

I've been fascinated with Andy's story from the git-go, course as someone looking in the window, I was sort of under the impression The Athletic was a landing place after the newspaper started taking hits, and then of course the NYTs buying The Athletic, it's been a microcosm of the changes in media this past decade. I too let The Athletic know why my subscription was running out as did a few others. Pleasantly surprised when he showed up on TSL, heck, saved me money $120 w/Andy was less than $100 TSL + $35 TA. TSL has been patient building up its bona fides with Virginia Tech and I'm sure a lot of that was achieved working with Bill Roth's program at VT but I think a moment was reached when Andy started showing up at pressers representing TSL, both coach Brooks and Coach Pry gave him what I think were surprised and heart felt shout-outs. If there were people left that still thought of TSL as a bro site they might want to hold their peace from now on. Anyway, interesting hearing the backroom intrigues here. TSL has always been the fish that swam the other way, while sites like SI resort to AI, TSL has been hiring people.

I as a European Football or "Soccer" fan, think this is the best sports entrance from all across the world and of all sports. That's why I've supported VT since 2014 when I was 13.

As a 30-year journalist trying to now make an independent living digitally after decades in print…I thoroughly enjoyed this discussion. Truly appreciate the quality, depth and attention to objectivity that you adhere to and hope the industry can sustain this transitional period to the point that your ideals survive. Tech Sideline is lucky to have Andy (and Chris) and they are lucky to have Tech Sideline. Love the podcast. Looking forward to a great season. Go Hokies!

1:06:44 As a TSL freelancer, I can confirm: Will, David, and Chris are almost obnoxiously easy to work with 😂. Very little resistance to pitched ideas compared to other experiences I've had - and David definitely answers emails way too late at night. A+ experience all around.

The guys that are early enrollees from last spring and this one will be key peices on next year's roster. With the key players we'll have leaving after this season that extra experience will be huge.

The LB positional shuffling harkens back Vance Vice's approach with his OLs, which was also questioned. I can't speak to whether it's a net positive or negative, but Vice probably had the strongest track record of success from his position group during the Fuente era.

They do it for several reasons, but Pry mentioned he felt like it helped his players understand assignments & where their teammates are on the field. Basically trying to get them playing faster and more instinctively. By all reports J Keller is an awesome athlete. I'm really pulling for him to have break out season.
