10/10 video! I just finished a 4 part series fixing the rust and dying the carpet in my E30 but reupholstering the seats is next. You made it seem much more simple than I anticipated.

I recently picked up up some electric leather seats that I wanted to swap to manual cloth seats. I feel your excitement shock of how easy it was. Looking great brother.

Nice video of E30 sport seat cover installation. I've been through this process myself, and I would add a few comments: First, I think it would be easier to install the seat covers after first removing the seat rails from the frames. This has the added benefit of allowing the rails to be restored (cleaned, de-rusted and repainted). Second, while the seats are disassembled and the hinges removed, it is an ideal time to refresh the seat mechanicals, including new seat cables and shocks.

Thanks for the video. Excellent step by step. Any suggestion on what to do if you break plastic pieces on cable. I broke both of mine lol. Do I have to replace the whole cable?

What happened to the back cover? Did your kit not come with the blue leather to cover it? Is that an LSeats kit? If so , it should've come with the leather for the backs. But, overall, you did a good job!

So looking at your vid, it seems like the e30 seats can be exchanged with each other, passenger to driver side and vice versa. Am I correct in assuming this possibility?
