i like the steps in physics with dynamic movement, usually starting very rubbery, stretchy and bouncy, then they get it to crimple or move correctly, and then weight gets added e.t.c (obviously with more steps involved.) just cool to see the steps to making realistic physics you can see this, as the ball crimpling multiple layers of cloth simulation was very rubbery and elastic and not much weight on the actual physics itself (or at least looked like it without realistic context and not just a impossible ball simulation) and then the clothing animation on a body and the table cloth-with-a-ball sim looked absolutely amazing with added context, material context, e.t.c
Imagine whole games - hours of play, vast maps - totally and completely revolving around relaxing the player with the ASMR experiences of cooking with this level of physics detail, mixed with walking around and experiencing beautiful, calming, breathtaking countryside views like in Death Stranding....games designed purely for a meditational experience.

Feels like I was watching videos like this back in the 1990s! With a vapourwave backing track, of course. In fact I have an old VHS tape with PC graphic TV documentaries on it, but I don't have a player to watch them! Have to stress that I'm not a big follower of this stuff - it is just the impression I get. I know the actual details are way, way beyond what was created in the 1990's.
There is a bit of uncanny valley ness to these animations. But they are rediculously close to the real thing! Especially the bread ones!

Wow, the real-time synthesized sounds is an idea I've been pondering about for years! Good to see it already being implemented 👍🔥
Once videogames start to utilize physics close to this is when games will pass that uncanny valley. We already have high detail, but very limited physics. We so have some impressive stuff in Zelda BotW, Rockstar games, and some VR titles like Eleven Table Tennis. I'm playing Control now and love some of the physics. It really does give it that extra bit of magic!

Awesome that you mentioned Red Faction :)!
I really love detail, but I also like throwing objects and having them get stuck in the floor

This will allow to do so many things. It will definitely be a big change in the world.
Wow it doesn't even need motion, a still image is already mind-blowing
if graphics and physics like this were implemented into a sci fi or fantasy VR game it would be such a surreal experience. the thing that sucks is rn hardware probably isnt good enough to have a virtual world filled with this advanced physics

Compared to video games years ago the tech is honestly mind blowing now

I can hear my CPU crying just from playing this video.
Those tank armor ballistic simulations are fantastic, despite not being very graphically impressive.

These simulations are starting to be sooooo real holy shit. Were at a point were theyre nearly as good as the skyrim engine!
