The Michelangelo of Microsoft Excel

When Tatsuo Horiuchi retired, he decided to try his hand at art. But instead of spending money on paints and brushes, Horiuchi used what he already had pre-installed on his computer-Microsoft Excel. Now, the 77-year-old artist is creating remarkably intricate digital masterpieces of the Japanese landscape, all on the free graphing software.

It's a quite realistic goal if you're a newbie. I started studying photography in 2011 and the first exhibition I was actually proud of was in 2018. Five years later I'm still figuring out how to mix in what I've learned as a photographer with drawing and fiction writing. It's a very slow progress but so rewarding once a work feels "complete" and there's only excitement to share instead of insecurities or fear no one will like it.

20 years of practice are "talent"? People think they are being nice when they call someone "talented", in reality it's just rude, you're turning down their achievements, all their hard work under a single word, just to make yourselves feel better, "there's no way I could have done that, I don't have the talent!" This is creativity, which is what art is. Its so sad to see that today, the most unimaginative, dull "artwork" is more recognised than true talent and creativity. A banana duct taped to a white board sold for more than 100,000 USD, but true creativity is barely recognised. This is absurd. Props to Tatsuo. You're an amazing artist🙌🙌🙌

There's more than one kind of creativity. There's conceptual creativity, creativity in provoking a response from an audience. The careful and deliberate prose of a well executed troll post may well be seen as a creative, artistic endeavor, just like the banana. Doesn't mean you have to think it's good, though.

K2_SLAYER_ I'm just sharing the gospel. First of all, the gospel begins with God. God created us in his image, for his glory and to have a loving relationship with Him. God loves us, he gives us free will to follow him, or to not follow him. All of us have sinned against God, we have all like sheep, gone our own way. We have chose something else meaningful to us, in our life to replace God. God is holy, he must punish sin otherwise he's not a holy God. It's no different than a judge, sentencing someone to prison. Even if the person being judged, would bring up all the good deeds he has done. It still doesn't pay for his crimes. So if God were to judge us, we would all be guilty. But God is rich in mercy, he sent his only begotten Son Jesus. To die on the cross for our sins, Jesus took the punishment you and I deserve. All you have to do, to receive salvation is by repenting of your sins. And believe in the gospel, that Jesus died on the cross for you. And God rose Him on the third day, I encourage you to read the gospel of Matthew God bless you!
