I like to say the Tyranids have a single weakness holding them back from consuming the entire galaxy, a weakness the empire is adapt at exploiting: They don't have enough named characters.

The problem with tyranids is if they win there's no story to be had unlike orks which are funny, or necrons who has some surprisingly interesting characters.

@@jessISaRicePrincess that's not entirely true, I'd say octarius war was a good example of tyranids winning and it being interesting. Sure we don't know the specific tyranid that did that one thing etc. And they'll be absorbed back into the force of nature that is Tyranids. But I think of tyranids as a character constantly evolving and adapting to topple its enemy and feed. That's my opinion also the imperium is boring lol

All the other factions have strengths and weaknesses that keep eachother in check but tyrinids adapt to everything and have rumors of having the galaxy completely surrounded. If it was just one front or if they didn't adapt nearly as well maybe. Idk compared to all the other factions tyrinids are just boring when compared. Then again I kinda dislike the whole hive mind army bug trope in scifi.

@@jokerman9623 fair enough! I like the unstoppable force that is the Tyranids, I can understand them being boring but not to me personally. They do have a big weakness tho which is after the battle they need time to suck up all the resources and are vulnerable. To me Tyranids are the force of nature adapting to the environment and taking over. Ive always been a sucker for green as well as slivers from MTG. My 2nd favorite would be Orks 100% cause I just love their energy lol its like no other in my opinion.

The morale phase is weird, it either matters a LOT, or not at all. To be fair, GW seems to be making some sort of last gasp to make it relevant again. A lot of things have lost fearless aura, for example GSC Patriarch. It's now down to a much worse "ignores combat attrition modifiers" effect.

It's just that if you don't want your household to become a barn you gotta do chores and usually I love having something good to listen to while I do them but usually youtube has more garbage or is stuff that requires a lot more attention than what obe can spare while doing chore, so having half an hour of good, easy to digest content to listen can make it more enjoyable so you can have a bit of fun while being productive. Heck my gf literally told me to relax and leave half the dishes for her to do in the morning so I stopped the video when I got to the part of the Thousand Sons and spared the rest to keep company while sweeping the floor this morning. Also the huge amount of dishes is kinda normal for us since we are Italian and we cook like stereotypical Italians do. PSA: sharing chores is a fundamental part of having a functional relationship even if it's bothersome and if you can find something that makes it better you absolutely should do that.

@@FunkBastid Guard also got points hikes despite being one of the bottom-performing armies in the game. New rules only apply to Cadian regiments. Plastic Krieg is nice (though I would have preferred if they kept the same body proportions as FW) but you have to be able to play with it, too.

16:30 ironically, plague marines are the happiest faction potentially in the entire Galaxy. Nurgle actually loves them, which isn’t common for chaos gods. They also arnt in any pain. Becoming a Nurgle daemon or plague marine is genuinely the most positive thing you can hope for in 40k

The funny thing is that the Eversor assassin is more true to the source of the word assassin than the others, being the ḥašīšī who went about and did very public murder missions.

6:17 I recall hearing that the reason space wolves having 'wolf' so much in their naming of everything boils down to 'Yeah the units have unique names in the native Fenrikan language but since no one in the Empire is going to take the time to learn it, everyone just says wolf over and over again" So it's not that the space wolves are un-creative in their naming, it's more so everyone else just making fun of them because THEY don't want to take the time to learn their actual names and the space wolves don't want to take the time to correct them.

To be fair that makes sense. The Astartes already signed up to shoot a lot of things: Eldritch nightmare beings, alien hive minds, cockney fungus, each other, etc. I'd draw the line at elf murder clowns too tbh.

‘Gender neutral paradise’ gave me a good chuckle. Also, as a Deathwatch player… fair.

That was great! Auspex Tactics is usually something I watch because it's rather serious, detailed, and a hobby I enjoy, with just enough humor snuck in to keep it from becoming boring, so this much more funny, sarcastic jaunt through the meme mines of 40k was a wonderful little change.

EDIT: And as a Blood Angels player since 1987 I should very much like to point out that we enjoy tomato juice so very much that we sometimes get a bit too enthusiastic and spill a bit as we drink it so quickly. It is most definitely NOT human blood. So any random disappearances or exsanguinated corpses found in our areas of operation are purely coincidental.

It is weird that melee combat has become such a staple skill on the battlefields of the future, isn't it? Even in close-quarters urban settings, you're better served with a short-barreled rifle or pistol than a machete, and most armies just give you a combat knife, almost as an afterthought.

"sorry you have to many organs you can get in". i know its to not invalidate firstborns but maybe balance the firstbborns to keep them relevant? Finally the faction breakdown I really needed.

i've been a long time casual lore fan of the 40k universe. as with many casual lore andys, leutin and the gang were my gateway to this universe. but this video, while obviously meant as a meme, has done more, relatively speaking, to help me understand the factions than hundreds of hours i've spent listening/reading to the tales of the universe by others. i think that speaks to the depth of the universe as a whole for this to be the case, but really, just wanted to let you know! thoroughly enjoyed it :)
