However even things like movies that could be used to instill this warning, drive us to fulfill that urge even more. Who knows

I'm probably from your age group, America was still in it's golden age. in the 90's I watched all the school psychologists observing mainly the kids with divorced parents like myself, i noticed those kids had similar issues too me. I noticed how burned out teachers already were when I got there, and I felt like there was this enormous enslaving like pressure to become a doctor, like my dad, at like age 8, despite barely average grades from barely being able to focus (then they wanted to medicate). Trauma at home = not focusing at school in short. I was obviously miserable feeling like a prisoner, and I saw most of the population miserable back then, adult professionals especially, cops were miserable, my parents, and thought, something isn't right, and there is no way the world is going to make it like this with a 50% divorce rate, homelessness, etc. I smirked over the identity crisis, the kids at school mimicking the outfits, but as I explored the first film especially I was pretty blown away once I understood it; and I especially understood it when I started to work for corporations!

The reason this movie was so popular was because it gave people the feeling that , yes, there is something very wrong with the world. People had felt for a very long time, a feeling that our world was somehow doomed and not what it seemed. Admittedly, that feeling in part was a product of other media we had all consumed.. Now, a quarter century later, the grip of media influence has loosened, and the internet has become a serious threat to the people who were in charge of what we thought. Now you are in charge of what you think.

It also made people realize that what they feared thus hated , COULD be defeated, but then it showed too that while that fight is crucially _important_ , it would ONLY be won at GREAT COST . Basically its up to US , and we (most of us) aren't interested . Remember, ~200 years ago - only III% of the original colonists stood against the overpowering authority of the time, the most important world power on the planet . We prevailed but only at GREAT cost . While some are busily 'shrooming and toking their lives away, SOME have chosen to unplug from that Matrix .

Very well done video my guy. The Matrix is so relevant, and is a Masterpiece. I'm an introvert who loves theology. I don't let many people into my bubble, because most people are shallow, and don't wanna talk about deep , thought provoking topics. I love having weekly therapy sessions because that's MY time, and I get to talk about whatever I want, with a therapist I've come to think of a friend, on some level. The purpose of life, religion, and what is real and meaningful have haunted me my whole life. I'm now 45. The Matrix resonates with my soul. That, along with The Lord of The Rings trilogy are two of my favorite movies of all time. LOTR is more of a fantasy escape from the real world though. 😊 ❤ To you all friends !!! The matrix was not created by the wachowskies. A black female author wrote the matrix books 1 and 2, and wrote the terminator 1- 4 stories 30 years prier to the films. The wachowskies and jamaes cameron stole her content. She sued them for $2 billion., hollywood stays quiet. The majority of directors in hollywood are talentless. The director of the village movie M night shyamala with jaquin pheonix, stole the idea from a female author called magaret haddix who wrote the book running out of time which is identical to the film. His other movie life of Pi was ripped off from an indian childrens book author who grew up in the same part of idea as he did. The matrix is nonsense anyway. Its just religion repackaged into new age philosophy. If you look at Neos long black coat he wears, it looks very similar to the catholics popes uniform.

April 3rd, 2024 just showed up in my feed. Of course a Matrix fan. Halfway thru it, thought I’d check when it was published. Blown away it was 2 years ago. Amazing work. Definitely need to do Part 2 “the AI reality”. Your title of this video doesn’t give it the justice and credit it deserves. Looking forward to watching your other videos. You earned my subscription. 🔥💯🔥

*Would definitely like to see you make a video on the movie "They Live" to hear your perspective on it. Now that's another beast of a documentary about this world.*

I think Rowdy Roddy Piper said that the movie They Live is actually a kind of documentary it self.

Story of my life, being ahead of your time isn't anywhere near glamorous, as no one understands you, and when they finally get it they're able to monetize on your passions that for you were always, and only, a fkn money pit!! 😅 Not that I value money more than the enjoyment of doing what you love, it's simply an observation.

Same with me, I knew Matrix, Artificial Intelligence and Anime Vibe was going to be the Zeigheits, the Mind of the Era but I had to remain silent all this time because you were seen nerdy like rat boy, and watch now the world is quickly going delusionally cyberpunk.

Great Content! Perfect Length, fantastic quality and relevance. As for seeing The Matrix when first released.... First, I HAD to see the movie to see how the story could justify people jumping off of Skyscrapers... after seeing it at the theater.... I left work early the next day and went to see it again, you know- had to make sure the story was intact and bullet proof, cuz Couldn't rewind and pause. What a Gem.

I tremendously enjoyed your video form the first to the last minute. I appreciate that you take many other aspects into account and provide a more deeper analysis. Culture, pop culture, politics, philosophical themes from other media like anime and manga, technological advances to classic sci-fi novels like "Neuromancer" by Gibson to philosophical and sociological works of authors like Jean Baudrillard etc. You captured the zeitgeist of the 90's just perfectly. I was 10 when Matrix came out and I watched movie many years later on DVD.
