What does the Matrix really symbolize? It’s a question we’ve been debating for over twenty years -- whether that’s the religious significance of Neo Christ, escaping the capitalist matrix that’s enslaving us all and turning us into drones, getting free of the artificial gender binary, or the alt-right coopting of “taking the red pill.” So which one is right -- or most useful for understanding the Matrix and our world?

    Brahahaaahahahaha. Wrong. Are you even capable of thinking outside the feminine box? This is why you continue to fail. Even when you earnestly try to think beyond your blinders you fail. You're so unconsciously unaware of your own shortcomings it's funny. As a mathematical physicist and quantum computer programmer (someone who is trained to remove bias from experiments, designs, and to see the world from all kinds of different perspectives objectively) I'm surrounded by the toxicity of bias. Taking the time to "fix" your video would be exhausting and not worth my valuable time. SMH. Pitiful. *You need to hire a guy on staff to counter balance your toxic feminism. Don't hire a "yes-man", actually hire a man, not a boy, not a man-child, not a gender confused it, not a beta who thinks they're an alpha, an honest to goodness man.* You're welcome.

    I find it more ironic that your take lacks the the true understanding on why right leaning individuals are using the red/blue pill concept found in the matrix. In reality people previously on the left have finally realized the fact that you can support individual freedom such as gay marriage, freedoms of speech, womens right to choose, and freedom of gender identification without having to also buy into the main steam medias ideas that you must also support the left and their push for a larger government/economic socialism in order to believe those other ideas. By taking the red pill you now see the real contradiction of the left. How can I fight against a system that systematically disenfranchises certain people while simultaneously support a political party that tries to increase the size and power of that same system?

    It was enlightening to learn how they originally wanted to cast the role of switch. I think that would have been a bit confusing to the general audience... but very cool in an indie movie kind of way. Along the same line of thought IIRC they first wanted to cast Will Smith as Neo. That could have been interesting for the Christ- Saviour metaphor AND the red pill conservative types.

    Perhaps you’re right about it being confusing (Switch). However as someone a part of the LGBT+++ community back then I will say that because we all had little knowledge we probably wouldn’t have seen it in a negative light. Most likely we would have seen it as something organic with little questions about it because The Matrix was questioning everything. It would have been just another clue to what the matrix was able to to with our minds.

    I came away from this with a much greater respect for the Wachowskis and how deftly they wove together so many different themes and ideas. The bit about Mr. Smith's license plate being a Bible verse was something I'd never heard before, for example. Super well-structured essay, and extra kudos to you for including the gendered themes and symbols! Most analyses never go beyond the Hero's Journey type stuff, so I was glad to see it.

    Some weeks ago, I was watching Lily’s response about the trans metaphor in “The Matrix” and in the top comments you could see your classic beer boy crying about how “The Matrix” had been ruined for him with that reading, to whom I replied with a “why would it ruin The Matrix for you?”. Really, you don’t have to be trans or non-binary to enjoy The Matrix, because it isn’t only about the trans experience, it’s about capitalism, spirituality, community AND the trans experience. But at least 1 of the topics the movie touches will reach you and your personal experience. And as a cis-woman myself I enjoy a LOT the trans interpretation because trans women have made more visible the fight to define what being a woman is, which I love. Being assigned female at birth wasn’t easy when the expectations of “womanhood” and “femininity” are quite restrictive. I certainly suffered a lot by those restrains while growing up, so I can see a lot of myself in those metaphors. Seriously love “The Matrix” and so excited for this new movie.

    Completely agree! I am white, cis and male, saw the Matrix as a disaffected teenager, and was completely hooked on it! When, years later, I started to discover analysis of the trans aspects of the movie, I felt blown away - there was this whole extra layer of inclusivity and identification which had never occurred to me, and which made me reconnect with it after I had set it aside, viewing it as an artifact of my embarrassing edgelord phase 🙄 I love the movie all the more now, so thank you for your comment - it inspired me!

    It's not about the trans experience or capitalism or community, it's about spirituality. These other things concerning capitalism and community and trans experience play a role, but even these things are meant for a spiritual aspect or interpretation to explain the physical manifestation of a spiritual state that leads to spiritual institutions or communities or sexual preferences or orientations. The reason why I would say even with a trans experience it would not actually be about the trans experience is because just as the initial post says, it is a metaphor, and the metaphor is not about transgender, although what the metaphor is about results in transgender and other things. Trans is in reference to transformation which is depicted through the death and Resurrection. This means trans is used as an outward symbol to express a spiritual condition, it isn't literally about transgenderism. It's a spiritual practice that one does a ritual to reflect a spiritual state. Ancient civilizations would worship gods of fertility and desired for their gods to bless their crops and herds, and since crops and herds increasing is a reproductive process and those gods they worship are gods of fertility, there would be ritualistic sexual intercourse which was a form of worship to where the spiritual realm would reflect their outward physical expression which would result in the gods doing the same thing for their profits. This is why I believe some who use evil (even that which one insists is "white magic") sources of accessing the supernatural, like witchcraft, do strange dances or movements or chants when casting spells or other peculiar behavior. Because there are spiritual entities that exist, these spirits influence the ordinary everyday people through demon possession, oppression, or influence, and other things to influence people to become transgender along with other things that aren't natural. I understand that is a very sensitive topic and many people identify with these things and might feel like I'm attacking them for holding these different views, but I'm not attacking the person and I hope that whoever is reading can receive what I'm saying because it is part of the message of The Matrix film. I'm saying this because I love and care for the person reading, because there is a very significant truth in this film that is trying to stress a message to The Listener, but the film conceals the message because of the hearts attachments to their beliefs or views which caused them to support and side with demonic forces and fight against God without knowing it. This is why the truth is concealed and hidden in the form of a metaphor or a parable. Matthew 13:10 10¶And the disciples came, and said unto him, *Why speakest thou unto them in parables?* 11¶He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the *mysteries* of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. 12For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. *13 therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.* 14And *in them is fulfilled the prophecy* of Esaias, which saith, *By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:* *15For this people's HEART is waxed gross,* and their *ears are dull of hearing,* and their *eyes they have closed;* lest at any time they should *see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should UNDERSTAND with their HEART, AND SHOULD BE CONVERTED, AND I SHOULD HEAL THEM.* Sorry for the caps, I'm not yelling or anything like that. I'm just emphasizing sections of an already emphasized sentence. I apologize. A person identifies with their desires or views, but it is not a true identity. That identity one identifies with is connected to demonic forces that one is aligning himself with unknowingly. It is a spirit that deceives the person, and when a person believes that spiritual influence, he's identifying *with the spirit* that is deceiving him, so he's becoming "one", in a sense, *with a demon.* The devil is wearing his body like clothing, and the person is wearing the demon like a mask, giving the demon legal rights to access that person's life. They're wearing each other like a mask as one, just as you combine *"The Symbiote"* with *"Eddie Brock".* When they are combined, they create *"Venom".* This also plays a role in people's temptations and lusts, which results in adultery or fornication. It's also behind some forms of schizophrenia, or phobias. Anything that Satan can use to imprison a person. Not all sicknesses are demonic, *but some of them are.* Many times in life people are unknowingly wearing a demon and identifying with it. It's also like the movie The mask. Stanley Ipcus is wearing the mask, and the mask is also wearing him, creating a new entity. A person is not gay. He is not a transgender. *He is who God says he is.* Don't accept something simply because it is pressed on you from spiritual entities or demons, fight it. This means in order for people to truly find God, they must face their own desires that are connected to the system which Satan is using to tempt people to reject God. If you're going to be proud of who you are, then be proud of who you *really* are, and overcome. The man who was born as a man is created to be a son of God in Christ Jesus. This is the person's true identity. A woman who is born as a girl is created to be a daughter of God in Christ Jesus. This is the person's true identity. Transgenderism and homosexuality is a deception from demonic entities. This is why people will fight to defend and protect the system, because they identify with the system that keeps them in bondage, and so people hate the truth, and resist what is right, denying God to hold on to temporary pleasures for a season, and developing a logic around those desires which alters one's perception of reality and keeps them ignorant of the things of God, and held in a mental prison so that one cannot find God or Jesus Christ. *THAT* is the message of the film. A person is his own gatekeeper against the truth. Therefore, Jesus ultimately is the red pill. It is the same as when Neo has a former identity of "Thomas Anderson", but this is a false perception of one's self which is due to a false perception of reality. However, a person's true identity is in Christ, because God created man to be in His image, and therefore the conforming to the image of Christ is the true identity of the believer, and that means that our identity and knowledge of who we are is tied together with Jesus and *the knowledge of Him.* This means the former man needs to die (not literally, but the former *nature* needs to die), and a person resurrects, being one Spirit with Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore *if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.* Please hear *AND RECEIVE* this message.

  • @Bi0Dr01d

    @Bi0Dr01d

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@thesamuraispirit7686 That's not quite accurate. The Matrix is specifically referring to a supernatural hierarchy behind the natural systems we observe. Remember bane from *The Matrix Revolutions (A.K.A Revelation).* Bane: "That's it, Mr Anderson. *Look past the flesh and these dull cow eyes and see your enemy".* Ephesians 6:12 - For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, *against spiritual wickedness in high places.* This is not about a government system, an entertainment system, an educational system, or financial system. This is about a spiritual system or hierarchy behind the natural systems we observe where there are spiritual entities that influence people to keep their minds *off of God.* It's when we look at natural explanations of the film's message that steers away from the core of its message. One must listen for the things not being said, and see the things that are not being seen, though what is being said and shown alludes to those unseen things. The agents aren't physical entities, they are Supernatural ones. *Agent definition:* _"a person who acts on behalf of another person or group."_ *ANGEL definition:* _"a spiritual being believed to _*_act as an attendant, *AGENT,_*_ or messenger of God, conventionally represented in human form with wings and a long robe."_ Agents are fallen angels who keep people deceived from finding out the truth about Jesus Christ. These are what influence our governments and our entertainment. This is why there is always seemingly godlike villains in movies, such as Thanos, who are designed in a way to influence people subconsciously to hate, or resist, or reject God. It is a spiritual hierarchy or system that can controls the natural affairs that happened in the world behind the scenes. For example, *Natural King:* Isaiah 39:1 - At that time Merodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah: for he had heard that he had been sick, and was recovered. So, who's the king of babylon? Merodachbaladan, right? That's what it says. *Not so fast.* Isaiah 14:4 - That thou shalt take up this proverb *against the king of Babylon,* and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased! *If you skip to verse 14, it reveals who the king of Babylon is:* *Spiritual king:* Isaiah 14:12 - How art thou fallen from heaven, *O Lucifer, son of the morning!* how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! So, it is actually a spiritual entity behind the situation, controlling or influencing government behind the scenes, but it's saying people can subconsciously perceive it, but prefer the lie, and therefore never come to the knowledge of God or Christ. Revelation 12:9 - And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Needless to say, my physician behind was laughing itself off. Hol'up: I take it back, the being a physician part. It just occurred to me how full of hubris "we", as a group, and as individuals, tend to be. While the science remains true, Lana and Lily's brains didn't "change", they were ladies from the very beginning, and the "genius" who said they won't be able to make a good movie because the "chemistry" in their brains changed is ... CW: I talk about stuff that could be dysphoria inducing tbh I haven't watched the matrix in years so I might be off, but with the age thing: for a lot of trans people, there is this feeling that there's a timer for starting your transition in order for it to be "successful" i.e. being able to pass. the longer it's put off in your early years, the more changes you'll get from your unwanted puberty, some of them irreversible/much harder to reverse. for a lot of trans women especially, there can be this big worry that you could get to a point where your body has become so masculine that you'll always be clocked as a trans woman, or a man. I'm not a trans woman though, I'm a trans man and this is generally less of a concern for trans masc people, so obviously trans women would know better than me about this. also I should say for trans people who currently really relate to this, that your transition can still be fulfilling to you no matter how late you start and as long as you feel better and more comfortable from it

    No it's not, but the alt-right edit is much more. Plato's allogory is badly understood in our cultures as defending the idea we are stuck in a cave and we need to go outside to see what the world really is (i.e.materialism, existentilaism and monism: there is one world and we need to avance in it). Plato is the father of idealism, it's contrary and the core of every conservative and reactionary thinking, he meant that the cave was the physical world we were trapped in, in which we only had access to impure versions of reality, which is located in an etheral plan of ideas (imagine a triangle you draw, for plato, it's an imperfect version of the etheral concept of triangle that belongs to the conceptual plane). For Plato, the outiside world is a metaphor for immateriality, it's the core of dualism, that the body is an impure vessel of the soul, the earth a dirty impure land while the sky is pure and immaculate. All domination structures emerge from that, so if you take the modern alt-right andless search for a pure essene of manliness in testosterone, abstinence, hard science and stuff; their misogyny and heteropatriarcal thinking against every opening to the duality etc... it just follows old age gender binarism, from myths such as pandora's box or women being an imperfect part of men completing the whole etc... or the myth of virginity and mom/whore dichotomy: for the patriarchy, the "pure women" is virgin as sex is earthly and dirty, but also not yet a woman, so when she loses her virginity she either is graced by the status of mom associated to the positive and ethereal side of feminity: self-abnegation, care, divinisation, naturality, afterlife; or she is a whore who succumbs to flesh, earch, dirt, life-for-herself and sin. Every belief of every idealogy fits into this framework. But what's interesting is that in modern socity, few people know that and assume Plato want humans to escape the cavern, while he says we are stuck in and can't see the etheral outside because of our lowly flash status. Like the matrix: the metaphor is a framework that goes in two directions and can be read both ways... it shouldn't be about what the Watchowsky really meant or then if you wanted to be coherent you should never interact with Harry Potter again, once we watch a movie we make it ours, so what matters is that the qveer, socialist, human vision of escaping the matrix we propose is stronger and more appealing that the one they propose towards fascism. Also given the next movies of the series twist the original message, it's interesting to understand it and how even more profound and complex the message can be once you know the machines are the oppressed class in the matrix universe, just like in most cyberpunk, and that for other philosophical lectures; the matrix can be seen as an utopia that's desirable per se and we wouldn't want to live outside, utilitarianism, and so the problem is no more that the matrix is inherently the bad reality because it's not real (idealism), but that it's not coded to allow people to be truely happy and all. It's like a dilemma about imagining a capitalist society profiting off selling VR qveer-anarchist solarpunk utopias we would all want to live in.

Do men have abuse words made for them on the basis of sexual assault of the female members of their family ?All the above answers are No except the middle one which is Yes and but that doesn't makes men the more privileged gender but just a little more at an advantage , our struggles aren't all the same neither is your struggle compared to mine , but I don't have the ownership of my body to begin with compared to that of my brother. The fact that anyone in the Altright can see it as talking to them is just more evidence of their delusional thinking. Like when they say Thanos was like anyone on the left. I can't imagine what insane labyrinth information must go through between their sensory inputs and the processing part of their brain that makes them see these movies in any light that makes them feel valid.

    You know, I hate to be a ball-buster, but this channel is at least the 2nd channel to miss the point of what Cypher asked for, negotiating with Smith to deliver him to Neo. His Matrix name is "Mr Reagan"... And Cypher said he wanted to be someone important, LIKE AN ACTOR. The directors of the Matrix movies clearly meant to suggest the idea that Cypher reincarnated into Ronald Reagan, who was both important (President) and an actor. Before President Reagan went into politics, he starred in movies. Thus, it's reasonable to assume that a matrix character named Mr. Reagan wanting to be reincarnated as an actor is a pretty strong case that the directors wanted people to think he was Ronald Reagan in a previous version of the matrix. Know what I mean?

    Revolutionary movie in so many aspects (and literally revolutionary), for me Matrix wasn't so much about flashy fight scenes (and they were brilliant btw) but about the message: Social Justice War. No, not fake woke bs, but the real one: fight against the system. No left, no right, we against them: just like anti-globalist protests from that period (late '90s, early 2000s) Hollywood soon realized their mistake and completely, deliberately ruined, crushed and destroyed every intelligent meaning in the next 2 movies, ops 3 movies, making them as dumb as possible. Big corporations also realized they need to do something, so they created modern 'liberal'/woke values: forget about the system, forget about JP Morgan, Gates, Bezos... you need to fight for transgenders and their right to twerk in front of children! And now we have modern movies and modern values... and modern kids who do not fight the system, they defend it.
