My FAVORITE professor ever was of German heritage, born and raised in Maryland. He'd boost about how in the Middle Ages, German Knights were brave and looked tremendous in their suits of armor. But he said if there was anyone they'd fear on the battlefield, it was 100% the Scots.

I just cant the right words to adress my Love for the Clan and for the Things we fought for in the battle of Bannockburn. Im a bit sad that my Clan split up and spread all over Europa. U are not alone mate. Scots are always joyful when we hear bagpipes

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I’ve always loved the pipes and drums, since seeing it on TV as a child, of all things a advertisement for Dewars! After that I recall seeing several movies with Scots in them. I put going to Scotland on my bucket list even before I knew what a bucket list was and we went in 2019, just before COVID arrived. Thank God that we were able to go. Edinburgh and the Castle were amazing. Next on the list is to experience the Tattoo. I already own 8 kilts and love wearing them on hikes and such. If I could I’d retire to the highlands in Scotland.

I have this colonial hang over and have a fascination to the British especially the changing of guards and military parade of various honour and look to this parade incomplete without the scottish guard and bagpipes. Exceptional sounds of music.

I grew up in Edinburgh and my Mum, Dad and a few friends were going to the Tattoo. I was probably about 7 or 8. Gran was to look after us. I was just getting in to bed and my Dad comes in, "Do you want to go to the Tattoo? Put on as many warm clothes as you can". Being young I put on two pairs of trousers about three jumpers and a coat, hat and gloves (I lived in Scotland. Even at a young age, if someone says it's going to be cold then you know the thing is real). This was in the early 80's and if I had had a space suit then it would have been the best option. Whoever designed the seating was either a sadist or didn't know what the wind is like in Edinburgh. It blows under your legs I've said to people who were in a bad way before, " At least your not stood in an Edinburgh bus-stop in February". It was probably the most magical thing I have ever seen as a child. The castle, the sound, the smell of gunpowder, the fireworks and cheering and the crowd carrying you along and all good natured and happy smiles.
