    As an Englishman I must say that it is heartwarming to see that some parts of this once proud Island are proud to keep their traditions alive. In England, it seems, we have either forgotten how to or are just not allowed to do this anymore. To any Scottish and Welsh folk who may come across this comment.... "Please do not ever lose your National identity, keep up your traditions, protect them well and pass them on with pride to your children". England has lost its own identity, please don't let the same thing happen to you good Folk.

    I'm a New Zealander with both English and Scottish heritage. It saddens my heart to see what England has become, and so many other western nations. I wish that people would stop feeling that it's racist to want to preserve their culture and heritage...it's not. Wars have been fought to prevent foreign nations from invading other countries, yet we are supposed to believe that it's wrong to object to our cultures being forever changed by demographic replacement...all without our consent. I too hope that people will rise up to protect their heritage before it's too late. In some countries it may already be. 😔

    It was Robert the Bruce King of Scots who defended Bannockburn and beat the largest Army England ever assembled, Roberts small force of 7000 in Schiltrons form with Mobility attack/Defence with 600 light horse and few Archers in middle of Schiltrons drove 3 thousand heavy horse and Men in Arms and over 15000 footsoldier plus Welsh bowmen ended up being totaly routed, King Edward fled himself and was lucky James Douglas never got him with only 70 horsemen while Edward had 500 personal quard. He left his Army to be Slaughtered, Aye the ones who never drowned trying to flee with their big expensive Armour.

When you say “everything we’ve been through” you mean ww2? Cause every other war was pointless and a waste of blood. Scotland shouldn’t be in wars around the globe, we’re a small country that doesnt have youth to waste. As for hating people from England, Iagree with Dick Gaughan “Let friendship and honour unite and flourish on both sides of the Tweed”

    @@rmac8378 Thank you for explaining and i get it i just still use the term British as its historical meaning we all are from the British Isles so we have our own nations but united together in Britain so when we say British military no one i know would call it the English military its British because its made from all corners of Britain and as for past wars before ww1 and 2 please remember it was a different time please don't judge history through the gaze of modern eyes it simply was a different time and as for wars and not many youth to go to war i completely understand we all feel the same since we have broken from the shackles of the EU i and all others i know want no more wars overseas let's focus on ourselves we need no more wars unless in self defence so we need to maintain a strong military and our nuclear capabilities but as a deterrent so no sane person would want to go to war so no loss of life. for the future all of us should focus on our people. together we can do great things we can build a united kingdom were we have everything we could ever need or want more business, more industries, more trade, future tech, we can achieve anything together. i know it was a different time and we used war but we will not use war in the future but remember we built the largest empire in human history together. one island with our history and technical prowess we can create a future we can all be proud of.

  • @rmac8378

    @rmac8378

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@luciffertribal794 Ww1 was a different time yes but many stood out against the war at the time, much like iraq, so it’s not right to say “it was the times” because many many people opposed it and were jailed for doing so. Ww2 is different of course, that was a worthy war. About nukes, I don’t believe in nuclear deterrents, i believe in protecting our borders, no country would be mad enough to nuke Scotland or England. Scotland doesn’t want them and they’ve costed us billions. As for a “united kingdom”, i don’t want a kingdom, i want a scottish republic. Also i don’t live on “one island” my country of Scotland had 700 islands. Scotland and England need to break away for both our sakes, we’re too different. I believe culture is wealth and makes people happy and neither of our countries can have a real national culture while we’re split and confused between english or British and in Scotland Scottish or British. In your country a lot of people (especially metropolitan city folk) barely call themselves “english” because they think it sounds bad. England needs to be it’s own country.

    Does anyone else go online and watch the tattoo competitions? It's really quite moving and exhilarating! Several years ago I attended the Tattoo/Highland Games at Stone Mountain, just outside Atlanta. What a thrill it was to watch all those pipe & drum bands playing & marching in mass. They covered the entire field. I was crying and cheering like crazy. I would love to travel to Scotland to see the tattoo at Edinburgh Castle. I've watched it online but just know the "up close & personal" version would be so much more thrilling. There is also a large Highland Games exhibition with pipe bands at Grandfather Mountain, NC. Ahhhhhhh, bliss.
