My dad was an Army veteran of WW2 and the Korean war, when he passed in 1983 the only song he had requested to be played at his military funeral was Amazing Grace on the pipes and drums. Still gets to me all these years later.

Everytime I go out for lunch while I’m on drill weekend in uniform, I’ll always get people that say say ty for ur service, n in my head I’m like “I appreciate the thanks but tbh I don’t do much aside from show up, sit in classes, clean, n sit around”. Tho now that I’m nearly done with my year long deployment, I feel more valid as an army soldier even tho I’m reserves. Love the vid n greetings from the US!

LET IT OUT!" I couldn't. A clergy colleague, a Lithuanian/American, said once he "didin't get it". His wife. also of Celtic ancestry reacted the same way with the Pipes. Who dares to say it does not live in our "blute and DNA"?

I live in Nova Scotia, New Scotland. Born a Buchanan, lived on Cape Breton Island for awhile, when you live on the island you see it in the people and the music and their love for all things Scottish. My home is here on the main land, but i have always been proud to the point of tears of my Scotland roots. The sound of the drums and the bagpipes live in my heart forever.

The arrangement of this song, with the bagpipes, the choral background and the strings at the end of it is very, very majestic. The Scottish scenery is breathtaking! Congratulations, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards and the other fantastic musicians on this wonderful version of this hymn!

Hello, how are you doing my friend?

When I listen to Amazing Grace on being faced with a setback in my life, I feel like my soul is being comforted and I'm given just a little bit of courage to take a first step forward again ❤

I had to listen to this again, simply because of the, ... I can't put it into words how it moved me to tears simply because it was so moving, and beautiful.

Today is the 17th year since my dad has passed away and the music still makes me cry and hope.....BIG THX!!

I feel like being drawn into the another world where my mind could be cleanly cleansed enough to be filled with a spiritual peacefullness on listening to Amazing Grace ❤

I Don`t know why but when I hear Bagpipes playes "Amazing Grace" ....I Cry ....and I Love it.....

As french, I find this music moving, it sounds like the greatest of european civilisation, the soul of our cultures

@@paraszt4269 We have a good relationship with the Spanish and hold no animosity or resentment toward them. Occassionally just like to tease them about their accent...Mexican humor.

I have always loved Amazing grace on the bag pipes. Its the perfect connection between us and the Lord Jesus Christ.
