The Marvels Film Breakdown, Easter Eggs & Details You Missed!

I know this is a long-awaited video and while I began working on it as soon as the film premiered, the editing took a VERY long process. Nonetheless, join me to breakdown ‘The Marvels’, the MCU’s very first all-female team made up of ‘Carol Danvers’ aka ‘Captain Marvel’, ‘Monica Rambeau’ aka ‘Photon’ and ‘Kamala Khan’ aka ‘Ms Marvel’ while the film features beloved ‘Nick Fury’ and we meet the villainous ‘Dar-Benn’ and the dashing ‘Prince Yan’ from ‘Aladna’ the musical planet, where we discovered that ‘Carol’ is now ‘Princess Carol’. We also followed ‘Goose’ along with her role in this story as well as all of her ‘flerkittens’ which were SO CUTE! We also saw the other side of the ‘Skrull’ coin by visiting ‘Tarnax’ the ‘skrull’ refuge colony led by ‘Emperor Drogge’ whom ‘Talos’ name dropped in ‘Secret Invasion’. We also got a surprise cameo of the New Asgard Sovereign, ‘King Valkyrie’ who will provide refuge to the surviving ‘Skrulls’ of ‘Tarnax’. The ‘Khan’ family were so funny and heart-warming in the film and I hope to see more of them, hopefully in Ms Marvel Season 2?!
A big thank you to ‘Nia Da Costa’ for giving us a comic book come-to-life! ‘The Marvels’ also ends with TWO epic moments with ‘Kamala Khan’ recruiting ‘Kate Bishop’ aka the new ‘Hawkeye’ to found ‘The Young Avengers’ and with ‘Monica Rambeau’ awakening next to a variant of her mother ‘Maria Rambeau’ but in this universe, is also the hero ‘Binary’ who was also accompanied by a beloved X-Men but in a BRAND NEW COMIC ACCURATE portrayal ‘Beast’ who looks AMAZING! This was certainly a great film for Marvel with excellent success amongst the fandom, it was such a fun MCU cosmic adventure which gave vibes of Guardians of the Galaxy 1 as we explored more of the MCU cosmos and returned to ‘Hala’ to continue the story of the Kree as well as visiting ‘Tarnax’ to continue the story of the ‘Skrulls’ as well as visiting ‘Aladna’. Get your popcorn, sit back and relax while we revisit this galactic adventure!

I loved seeing this softer side to Carol and I am totally a *specific* Captain Marvel fan! My personal fave, Monica was amazing! I'm glad Nia did justice to her powerset and displayed her range of abilities. Kamala was the joy and comic relief that keeps you in your superfan mode and was the perfect way of representing 'what if a fan was in this', Kamala has really shown her strengths and I look forward to seeing her in [Spoiler]! I LOVED the more comedic side of Nick Fury and he was such a good support from the side. Prince Yan was very exciting although we need much more time to get to know him! Fingers crossed we return to Aladna! I absolutely LOVED visiting Tarnax, finally meeting Emperor Drogge and seeing more Kree/Skrull space politics! We need more of this in the MCU cosmos! I loved seeing the other side of the coin for the skrulls and I hope we see more of their story. I really adored the flerkittens! So cute and honestly I did wish it was a bit longer and I hope we get an extended cut on Disney+ to see the parts of Aladna that was cut out. Dar-Benn was an ok villain although she wasn't necessarily the true villain of the film, she had interesting motives but needed some more time to flesh her out with the audience. This truly showed the potential of The Marvels and I really hope we see more, especially now that Carol is living on [Spoiler]! I hope she is apart of the core Avengers now! I'm very excited to see Kamala recruit and lead [Spoiler] and I really hope we see more of Monica considering what happened, possibly in a project that is very close to coming out?! I hope she is utilised and Marvel doesn't just put her on a shelf until Secret Wars! I will be doing a detailed review so stay tuned if you're interested!
