The Mars Volta - Soothsayer

I know I'm getting lazy with finding new photos but this track is awesome, so I think that balances it out. This is the 11th track on Bedlam. Enjoy!

great comment man. too many people talk bad about them but not many really understand prog or experimental rock, which these guys embody to the fullest. you've obviously been listening to them for a while though so i'm not telling you anything new. Live performance is the best if any of you ever get the chance

I just here to say I'm a big fan. I was inspired by Jon Theodore and then also a big fan of gospel chops, so when I found out Thomas Pridgen was playing drums I flipped out! Two birds with one stone. I saw them live with Theodor and now I can't wait to see them with Pridgen! I'm not here to criticize or compare dudes, just here to say they rock!

Indeed.... If you want something else from the De-Loused genre, play some De-Loused..... None of the Volta songs get old anyway. That's part of what keeps them fresh and keeps the real fans . They have so many different awesome songs that The Volta is seriously all I listen to now. I can find a set of songs to fit any mood.

If you think Buckethead's boring, you've heard near nothing from what he's done. There's plenty of emotion in the nine-minute anthem Soothsayer. If you think he can't do soul, look up Machete or take a listen to the whole album Colma, about one of the most depressing/calming CDs I've ever heard. I'll go easy on you because you obviously have no idea who or what Buckethead is. Buckethead is one man's life and emotion and spirit channeled into an electric guitar for all the world to hear.
