when I saw them play this, the song lasted about 25 minutes. was one of the best moments of my life...when the last chorus kicked in, after a 15 minute build up. AMAZING

I love this performance. I love the impromptu "Baby, Baby, Baby, you give me fever." I'll comment on the video only, since Mars Volta fans get very deep in their comments. The crowd is absurd, they look bored to tears. When I went to see them, non-stop dancing.

Theyre influences span across a variety of genres, not only early prog rock, or modern metal, they combine jazz, latin, even dub in places, and arent afraid to experiment, although many beleive omar way overplays, i love it. There is no one else like this band.

Hearing this band pull their own songs off in synchronisation is a big achievement for a musician. There aren't that many other bands that dig themselves a hole this big by recording such complex songs and then having to play them live.

The Mars Volta is one of the few bands you can say that really do make art! Their music can never be replaced with other stuff... they will go into the history as one of the worlds most talented bands! I hope they will stay together and make alot of records :)

I saw them a couple weeks ago and it was amazing. This was the very first song they played and they jammed for about 20 minutes- their sax player and keyboard player shredded like Petrucci. I can't wait for them to come back.
