Lyrics:
My nails peel back
When the taxidermist ruined
Goose stepped the freckling impatience
All the brittle tombs
Five hundred little q's
I'm splitting hairs to
Match the faces
All night long I'll hunt for you
Let me show you what I mean
Sangre
Sonando
De rabia naci
Now this train don't lie
An abortion that survived
A lineage of
Bastard mastacation
All the severed proof
Talons scratch my suite
These are the feathers
That replace them
All night I'll hunt for you
Let me show you what I mean
Sangre
Sonando
De rabia nací
Who do you trust
Will they feed us the womb
Chrome the fetal mirage
Will they feed us the womb
I found the remnants
Of a crescent fang
It cleaned my wing
Down to the bone
Umbilical syllables
Left to decode
There was no cradle
I can taste it
Come on now
All night I'll hunt for you
Let me show you what I mean
Sangre
Sonando
De rabia naci
Who do you trust?
Will they feed us the womb
Chrome the fetal mirage
Will they feed us the womb
Bring me this plague
She took a drink
Those nicotine stains
On his every word
My scavenger quilt
Will only hide the truth
Bring me
Bring me this plague
I count the days to find
What was left behind
Only these names I clutch
Will lead me to my home
Somehow this river marks
A wrinkle hand in mine
And everyday that parts
The water into two
Mothers and feathers start
To drown the living proof
I can't remember these lakes of blood
Wrapped in a blanket
There sweats a cut
Who do you trust?
Will they feed us the womb
Chrome the fetal mirage
Will they feed us the womb

I love how this isn't routine. It's not go up on stage, play the song note by note as previously written, then leave. This is some genuine feeling going into the music through some seriously badass improv. Bravo The Mars Volta!

A staggering testament to the Mars Volta's one-of-a-kind genius.
I seen about 7 live shows of the Volta. through 2002- 2008 I feel they were at their prime in a musical sense , after that they were just killing it on stage performance and visual effects which I found also entertaining, some of my friends say they fell off, but I beg the differ. They only transcended.
Every time this comes across my feed I have to watch the entire thing. One of the best live renditions out there. I’d love to get my hands on the entire show. Their live shows are unlike anything else out there.

And no band will ever match that day October 2005 at the Rose Garden which is funny.... The place was raided by trolls, and no longer "Rose Garden"...now called the Moda Center. What this performance shows the world is the total package, the epitome of a well connected band, (a beautiful marriage if you will), bonded by talent, expressing what music means to them in such a profound way that evokes a fully body sensory experience so that every member in attendance feels it in their soul! In that moment with joy at the core, that the tears roll down uncontrollably, and you realize the profound power music created by such amazing talented artists. Such fortunate souls are those lucky to have attended a concert where their favorite band sounded even better live, brought such stage energy and presence that took the crowd to new levels of a euphoric 'high', and ended by rendering them speechless with curfew-less encores etched as joyful memories highlighted in life!

The Mars Volta, una banda de otro planeta.
My favorite era of this band has Jon Theodore as the drummer. With that said, between _The Bedlam in Goliath_ and this performance here, Thomas Pridgen may still be one of my favorite drummers of all time.
Holy shit they were so tight! I've been one of my favorites for like 8 years. I've never seen a live video. The Mars Volta fucking ROCK!
The greatest band ever
I have heard two songs from the first record, they're in my playlist. I have always known that once I dig deeper into this band, I will never let them go. So I listened to the entire debut album over and over, loved it. I have just started listening på their second album, and after hearing this masterpiece of a song, I just had to see it live. I'll update when I'm done. Edit 1: This is by far one of the greatest live performances I have ever seen. The musicianship is on an elite level. And that drummer 🥰 they really love what they do. It took me 10 years to understand meshuggah, but when I did, my love for the band became permenantly attatched to the core of my soul. I feel like this is Meshuggah in another dimension, and without a 4/4 beat. I believe it is a very deep hole I have began to explore :) Edit 2: If any of you have not heard meshuggah yet, I suggest with the live version of dancers to a discordant system
never heard this version with Thomas on drums. holy shit. so smooth
This is one of those bands I don't need to look at(this is a compliment) Their music alone is enough. Got here via a review on karnivool. Great band!
Those guys have a super cool vibe...
Thomas is a monster. Unreal power and presence.

IDK what to say about the Mars Volta... there is just nothing that comes close to them... their timing signatures.... their alternative languages... nothing short of WILD... their music is not just sound.. its a whole experience.. Its absolute madness and I cant make sense of any of it and I want to keep it that way.....
