I'm a BMW Fan boy, great lap record 🎉🎉well done BMW M division... I think BMW would get sub 7 minutes lap records if they work on Aerodynamics. BMW cars already have great mechanical grip so if only they do aerodynamics like the Porsche 992 gt3 rs and the new mustang gtd it will be a great car that will break and hold records for a long time. ❤🎉 well done once more

Tbh it took the record! This time wasn’t on track tires, unlike the S Plaid and the margin was 3 seconds.

@@Bimmer_Bill The lap doesn't look like it's on the limit tho, it looks more like the 10 seconds gap between the 3 laps (M2 M3 M4) is calculated marketing. More evident by the fact that this CS for example, in some corners it turns like a supercar but next one he brakes like it's a stoplight. The gap to the g81 wagon is also too small when this is basically an awd csl with cup 2 instead of cup 2 R. I think this will destroy a gt63 or even a plaid on any other track test

@@kostass7749 this already handles like the best and with only 550hp this thing handles better than any car telsa or mercedes 4door , the only problem is a litle bit down on power compared to the fastest , the ring is a high speed track mostly and power makes a lot of differnce

@@davidchau3228 what are you talking about? We have classes of cars for a reason. This car is a 4 door sedan that you can buy at a dealer and get groceries with. Do you not understand? Are you going to say a Porsche gt2rs is not fast because the Porsche 919 hybrid is well over a minute faster. Don’t be a moron! Supercars of a decade ago couldn’t match this 4 door sedans time!

This is sick, damn!!! I cant keep wondering how things would have turned out if BMW made a modern supercar, because damn, these guys are the masters of this craft, hate them at your own peril!!

the M cars never had big wings and such, as they stay true to their previous models. if they did they would compete with the porsches, corvettes and supercars.

it's a cheap big midsize platform, supped up with tons of power and sticky tires. Nowhere near close proper supercars. Chill out, they never will go sub7 with the current brand trajectory, they abandoned track perfomance 2 decades ago.

Yes of course, it cost around 100K per minute of run, they basically close the track for several hours during this type of sessions… they also take the opportunity to get a big amount of data in the engine parameters for further development in technology.

I just wonder this M3 running in RWD or AWD?

It is possible to know the setup? 4WD Sport and DSC Off or what? Thanks

The M4 drove 7:28 with 510 PS by Autobild. I think the other driver had a great line by driving.

I had many audis, and many audi rs in my life, changed to a G80 xdrive comp last year and i am NEVER going back to another car than a BMW.

The styling of the new M3 & 4 are controversial but I love it. They look special, aggressive & powerful.

People this car was in effect faster than the track pack S plaid (which has 470 more hp). The S plaid used focused track tires, not street/track tires to go 3 seconds faster. Put this car on cup 2r’s and see. Unfortunately bmw will not do a run with their cars unless you can spec it the same from the factory. Unlike the model s plaid which had aftermarket suspension for its 7:25. The Jaguar was also modified. Apples to apples, this is the fastest production four door sedan (at the Ring) in the world. ❤

@@jordanplays-transitandgame1690 wrong! Do your homework before you open your trap! First off let me start by saying the car is capable of one hot lop before the battery overheats. Phenomenal! Furthermore, it’s clearly seen in photos and if you watch Misha’s review on the lap and look at the amount of negative camber on the rear wheels of the cars (pictured next to the record time slip) it’s not secret. You can’t run that amount of camber without aftermarket suspension, let alone using R spec track tires that bmw and Mercedes don’t use. Camber is not available with a download from Elon 🤣🤣🤣 keep trying HARDER

E Performance was never lapped. It was the S model (639hp) that set the record for its class back in 2020 and it was in damp conditions.

BMW should bring a supercar, it would be a real game change

If you are referring to AutoSport M4 xdrive time then you need to compare to the 7:23 time so M3 CS is 5 sec faster

The truth is that if this car is equiped with the CSL's tyres, it will beat its time.

BMW guarantees 550hp, but for this they always add much more in their calibration and result in excess of +30 or +45hp.

Can't accept that you got corrected on the subject of tires? Where am I wrong that you supposedly responded with wrong?! Your point was that the AMG didn't have the same tires but you're wrong! The AMG lap was faster even by the tiniest of margin, it's a fact until and unless BMW posts another lap time with the M3 CS or M5 CS or another 4 door car! @@amarjit_singh_ first off I said most of the cars that went faster were on track tires not all. Second i was directly referring to the s plaid. I said the m3 cs would be the fastest on track tires such as the cup 2r also a true statement. What I overlooked was that the amg was also on cup 2’s BUT they are virtually identical times…LESS THAN ONE SECOND! Claiming conditions were worse for the amg is subjective speculation. So, yes you are right the amg is just as fast but you can’t claim it’s a faster car with any validity! You’re talking about a 0.1% difference in lap times. That’s insignificant and a fact. Go back to sleep I know it’s nighttime in India. 🤣

*For $119,695 (before options) there are WAAAAY better cars one can buy, both in looks and performance. Try again, BMW!* 🙄

Sorry guys, but the way you record and post video is just ruin all the experience. To be honest, video just sucks. I believe M cars deserve to be filmed as good as they are on track. PS. Please spend more then 100 bucks on camera.

I’m shocked they didn’t blur out the AMG signage at 4:25. 😢 This is a very impressive time especially without a cage and likely just stickier R compound tires. A+ to the chassis and drivetrain people. F to the exterior design team. The G80 and G82 are some of the worst looking M cars the marque has ever produced. They need to steal Albert Biermann back from Hyundai. F to the marketing people. BMW now plasters the M badge on every car and that has diluted the brand. M cars just don’t feel special anymore, they just seem like a slightly higher trim from the base models due to the badge oversaturation.
