🔥 The Lost Tarot by Dominic Murphy [SILENT FLIP THROUGH & WRITTEN REVIEW]

CONTAINS IMAGES WHICH SOME MAY CONSIDER EXPLICIT
This isn’t the first print which came in a much better larger format. I think. This is a more recent reprint by the artist. Can't remember the year and can't find it on the box or cards. If you have more details of the original print please feel free to comment down below.
* I'm not affiliated with Dominic Murphy, or any of his associates, in any way.
* I purchase this, using my personal funds, at its full retail price of GBP 50 (about NZD $100 or USD $70) plus international shipping from the UK to New Zealand.
REVIEW
1) I really do not like the price on this one and I don't know why I paid it. For the art? Maybe. But there are better ways to collect art. Seriously.
2) The back of the cards contain the title of the deck, overlaid on what I think is a copy of one of the cards (?). This format is one of my least favourite ones in all the universe.
3) The container is very spartan. I don't care if you think tarot is always only about the cards. Not for the price I've paid for it, it isn't.
4) Poker size so a bit small, but
5) Professional grade card-stock: Very good to shuffle with in any way you want.
6) The art is the best part of it: Very compelling as a very creative take on tarot. (A set of major arcana beyond the classic 22). Reminds me of Mantegna's 50 cards.
7) To some, or most, this would veer off into the territory of an "oracle". (Technically tarot is a form of oracle. But let's leave that convo for another day).
8) I find the story the artist is telling very interesting! Although I can’t relate.
I am giving this deck away to a friend.
Thanks for watching.

In the next few months I will be focusing my channel's content to support this liquidation. This may be showing copies that are leaving my collection, or maybe some of my harder to find editions.

Hi Val. I don't know why a lot of your comments are deleted (by KZread?). I do actually like this art. I particularly enjoy his major arcana expansion take on things. I just don't use these cards. There is a whole world creation story around the deck that is part of the story of the cards. There are a few tarot decks like that, where a made up world is part of the story of the tarot, and I really do enjoy this aspect of it. It took us to a world that is akin to a board game. These types of cards tend to help me with creative problem solving as it helps expands the mind. Having said that, at this point, I personally would have preferred if he writes a book, as to put more emphasis in the stories, with his artwork complimenting these stories. But that's just a reflection on where I am with things. Any artist can of course do whatever they want. He clearly has some deeper ideas informing his illustrations. I am just more attracted to those ideas at this point, rather than the mere images on these cards. Anyways. Nice to see you here V!

Amazing artwork but the imagery is too 'horror' like for me .. Great video .. Thanks KSc 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I think that is the point 😁 The artist is more of a visual artist than he is a tarot illustrator. The deck is fun to flip through to see his take on each card more than to “use”. Thanks for watching.

Really beautiful art but gosh, what on earth possessed the creator to put that awful text on the card backs. Such a shame and a deal breaker for me.

Given the lack of secure storage, I can understand the desire to ensure that the names of both tarot and creator aren't lost, since they are there on every card. Very sensible, and functional. But aesthetically not so much.
