Chirpy Chips is probably the most disfunctional band at face value, but somehow is the only band between all three games that have consistantly been popular and not broken up or changed members. Just a buncha friends vibing and making stuff when they feel like it.

The fact that Beika got ratio’d on socials is so funny because you know someone at Nintendo HQ sat down and deliberately chose those numbers. It’s a small detail that works so well to show how controversial C-Side is in-universe. I love this so much.

You could interpret Ikkan's name changing to Quinn being representative of cutting ties with Squid Squad, as they no longer associate with the Sushi theming of the band.

I was gonna say the woomified "QRTs" meme was funny, because it implies that the weird mascot character who may or may not be related to the amusement park is derived from some cartoon series, and that they starred in some sort of Squid _Kingdom Hearts._ But then I checked Inkipedia to figure out whether it has a name, and it turns out (1) his name is 'Fresh Fish' (2) he _is_ in fact the mascot of Wahoo World (3) he's been in multiple (presumably animated) films (4) he plays a supporting role in a modern video game with a main theme composed by a popular band (Off The Hook). *Good cod, there already **_is_** a Squid Kingdom Hearts.*

Ah Splatoon, where the interpersonal and legal drama between characters that never appear in game is more sensical (in universe) and coherent than the main plot of the 3rd game.

I like how Front Roe has a Squid Squad feel but like more mature, like you can tell the Squid Squad members have become more experienced since their time as Squid Squad

It's worth mentioning as well that the Happy Little Workers motif is also in the five "rocket" OSTs that play as you are ascending the rocket. On the Splatune 3 official CD it's called "Thrilling Corporate News". The tune plays with rocket sounds and humans in the background as if it's a recording. I think this and the title further imply the motif was definitely involved with the humans in alterna in some capacity (which is pretty chilling lol).

Pearl being like "nah were going to the moon" and then getting an authentic astronaut jacket made is the most Pearl thing Ive ever heard 😂 I love hearing the story of all the band members!!! Look forward to learning whatever we can about the new bands coming in future updates as well!

I always guessed that they're called Damp Socks feat. Off The Hook because it relates to Wet Floor. You got wet floors, you get damp socks. Could also be something about their "busy vacation", walking around the world means your feet sweat a lot, right? or maybe these new members are 'dipping their toes' into professional music performance

I can't wait for part 5! One little detail i've already noticed: you mention how it seems like Kiki left C-Side at one point and then rejoined. Well in the album art for the new band, Riot Act, there's Kiki, standing alongside the other members of the band. It's so cool the amount of detail they put into these fictional squid bands.

Yoko and the Gold Bazookas continues to be my fsvorite band. But I've always wondered about the vagueness of the jam session Yoko attended. Cause I think it was said somewhere that it was a seven person jam session, and that gives me the impression that, since Yoko seems to have gone on her own, Kitamura and Oonie just... followed her to Splatsville without her knowledge. But that's just a theory

Grizzco logo real quick: The earth consists of a salmon as the white part, in the jaws of a bear which is the orange part (Salmon's tailfin is the bear's nose, salmon's gills and mouth are the bear's lower jaw and tongue). So much cool imagery. It gives the impression that the hidden meaning is the bear biting the world, because of the way Salmon Run is but a means to fuel and feed his goals.

BEIKA C-SIDE SPOTTED!!! I love beika c-side so much. From his orange beautiful, short and taken well off hair to his amazing grey skin, almost like a homestuck troll. His earrings are so beautiful and pretty it makes me wanna giggle and spill water on my feet. His pants are so pretty and well take care off, aswell. Makes me wonder where he buys his clothes. Maybe goodwill? No, probably walmart. He's so pretty and funny and his beautiful raspy voice gives me butterflies. Hes wayy better than the other members because hes so hot and pretty. His eyes resemble that of a star, or a south park character. I wish i could meet him. I would give him a green apple. Just like his shirt. His beautiful, green t-shirt. His voice is heavenly, like an angels call. Especially when he asks what my mother said. He makes me giggle and he makes lidia emo. I love Beika because hes a cute senpai. I love beika because he is superior. Hes so cute and tall and he looks like lincoln loud from heaven. I love lincoln loud. The way he just stands there is mesmerizing. Its heavenly. HE is heavenly. Such a beautiful man cannot exist outside a screen.

I adore Splatoon's design philosophy when it comes to their fictional bands. There are so many wacky and unique character designs and interesting backstories, it's tragic that we're probably never gonna see them appear in game.

I really hope we get to see more band characters in person in the future. It didn't take long after splatoon 3 coming out for harmony to become my favorite character, plus we get to see deadfish in side order, i think its really cool.

Harmony and Baker are really just the problematic meow meows of splatoon lead singers huh

this might get drowned out but i wanted to bring up the possibility of tosh being a humanoid sea cucumber (it would be like a case of squids+inklings being separate species in the same universe, AKA cq cumber and tosh are separate species). tosh displays pentaradial symmetry in their design (5 teeth) which is a trait specific to echinoderms like urchins and sea cucumbers. their hair, though odd in coloration, may be the innards of a cucumber, which would explain why only their head is not made of "hair." these innards also typically contain some sort of toxin, which could be why their name is toxy in japanese. i really only see them being a blue button from the hair coloration and toxins.

You know what I want? Another splatoon concert, except it’s not just preformed by the idols. You know when the other game’s songs are played between idol songs they play gameplay songs? I wanna see band members preform that. Like 3D models and mocap, the whole shebang. Yeah it’ll be expensive because they’d have to make whole new assets for one instance only which is why they won’t do that. But still it’s such a cool thing to think about.

I like how poetic the names of Omega 3 are, i immagine Salmonids get their names through notable things about them, like places of birth or certain things they have done, i immagine their names get longer as their lifes goe on due to them archieving more things.
