What's this "Agenda" you're talking about? Why are ppl pretending Galadriel wasn't a well known character from the books and one of the most powerful. So what exactly is the agenda...the source material? Op characters is not new to LOTR. Aragorn was a giant Gary Stue character. Fought waves of Orcs by himself, not a single flaw and had everyone fawning over him or pledging their allegiance to him. But now it's a agenda? The elf who is several times more powerful than he is? This fandom is just as toxic and weird as any other.

The minority are being toxic. It’s just that they completely changed the history and character of the protagonist. People need to realise that they don’t have the full rights to the material, so this show is basically fan fiction. If people are prepared to understand that this show is very loosely based off tolkiens work then they might like it more. But Amazon has clearly used the LOTR IP to make money if their own story

I enjoyed the first season of Rings of Power after the 4th episode I believe is where the series really picked up. Some damn good shots in this trailer. The music playing in the background. I’m looking forward to this.

Now that we dont have the unrelated Harfoot storyline dragging us down, the pieces are set and will start moving! The way its about to hit the fan is MAD

The Harfoot storyline is not unrelated. On the contrary. Nori and the Stranger go to Rhun, and their actions there will help to make sure that the Last Alliance will not simply be overrun by Sauron's forces.

​@anni.68 I can agree with you that it establishes important themes and motives for Nori and the Stranger for the future. But I think they gave them even more screen time than they otherwise would have because ⅔ of the way through filming season 1, they recast Celebrimbor. Which definitely reduced his influence on propelling the storyline forward. Thus they inserted extra stuff they had filmed and that was probably more Harfoot bits.

@@anni.68 yeah maybe the wrong word was used there. I think my main issue is that the slow points of the season 1 for both storylines happened at the same time & I'm not too interested in Gandalfs storyline tbh. Not even happy he is Gandalf tbh. Hoping they reveal he is one of the Blue wizards

The first season got waay more hate than it deserved. It wasn’t GREAT great, but definitely enjoyable. Looking forward to this

I wasn't really fond of season one as I still peter Jackson lotr/hobbit movies, I will only watch knowing it's not a faithful adaptation and make fun of the show when things fall apart.

I am a huge Tolkien fan and read almost everything he’s written. You’d be surprised how much of this is accurate and inspired in a loving way of the source material. But also - it’s an ADAPTION, not a word by word canon version. I can look past things as long as it’s entertaining and faithful to a certain extent. The books and movies still exist. Relax a bit lol
