@@LagoonHoodMorgan was great in the 2 films of course. He’s an amazing actor. It just wasn’t the Alex Cross we know from the books. In the books he starts as a young detective. He’s tall, imposing, and a ladies man through and through. Not the older wisened agent Morgan played him as.

Aldis hodge is so underrated..also a bright spot of Black Adam. He and a Pierce Brosnan had great chemistry and performances.

I literally was just talking about this IP the other day, saying i was surprised they were not making another movie, given there are multiple novels about the character. And it's nice to see Hodge mature into the leading man role. Hope the show is good, I'll be watching.

This looks good! I was a little apprehensive in my thoughts when it was said Aldis Hodge would be playing Alex Cross. That not a diss to him because I think he's a great actor. It was just the thought of someone other than Morgan Freeman playing him because like Tyler Perry's attempt at it, it didn't work. . But the trailer showed me that it could work and I am surprised the views aren't higher because it looks like a must see.

No, I think in this version of Alex Cross they are picking up the serious after the conclusion of Along Came A Spider. This makes sense, as that was young Alex Cross 'signature' case and instead of rehashing the book that was already a movie they're jumping forward while acknowledging it. It's similar to what Prime did with Jack Ryan & Reacher and their previous movies/books why try to recapture what was already done.

Alex Cross is one of the best characters I've ever followed through stories and books. I'm glad they're not abandoning the idea after the Tyler Perry portrayal. Whoever thought Madea could play Alex Cross in any shape or form was horribly wrong. Shout out to the legend James Patterson.
