@@Pickle_Riiiick At present, there are approximately 23 slides located throughout the country. These slides can be found in states such as Kentucky, Wyoming, Vermont, Montana, and California.
The alpine slide in the 1980’s at Action Park in NJ was made of concrete. That was a badass ride. Everybody left that park with a scar.

You would fly down that thing!! Omg I begged every year to go to Action Park. No helmets no safety nets kid lifeguards a wave pool nicknamed the death pool omg...Would I go back in time to do it again heck yeah!!

if you touched the concrete while riding down, it would rip your skin off you.
alpine slides are pretty common here in Germany, where I grew up, and honestly it was always sooo much fun when we went for a day trip and they had a slide 😁 like a mini rollercoaster but much less expensive

Fun story on these: Alpine slides are actually very popular in Colorado when I grew up (gives ski resorts something to market in the off season), though all the ones I’ve ridden are fiberglass. The one I spent the most time at was pretty cheap, the sleds were old and you could basically floor it the whole time. Then I went on a more recent one a ski resort had just built with new sleds. It was like driving a Model T your whole life and then getting into a modern lambo. Long story short, I went to hard on a turn, flipped my sled, continued sliding with my knee and elbows as my sled. I did eventually manage to get my sled and get back on, but not before getting the worst imaginable rugburn from sliding down 100 feet of a fiberglass track. Still have a scar on my knee from it

Bro theres one in switzerland almost 3 times the length... 10,000ft long... "longest" 🤣

They have definitely updated the sleds since I last went. Plus the cover to not be burned by the hot metal!
Perfect song to match with the video
Another one for my bucket list!
*he sounds like kreekcraft when he says "this is so cool"*
The music made this a vibe
In Germany we call those "sommerrodelbahn"
It looks amazing 🤩
Sasquatch 💀
Wish they could design one of these without the seams and smoother transitions through curves.

I went down something similar in my real early teens, didn’t know that I was meant to slow down sometimes, flipped it at the end of a bend.. came off at full speed and took a heap of skin off my back and arm lol. Yeah it wasn’t steel like that it was concrete.

@Skitz it has been in Switzerland on the Pilatus for a long time with 2.7km i believe
I've been on the worlds tallest slide, but now I have the need to ride the longest.
The German company that built that slide also built one at the Funfeilds park just outside of Melbourne in Australia! :)
in germany it’s called a “sommerrodelbahn” (‘summer bobsled track’ would be the most accurate translation. ‘Sommer’ = summer ‘rodeln’ = sledding/bobsledding ‘bahn’ = track) if there is anything wrong in my translation, i completely misunderstood something in the german language. as a german.
The song is Grouplove - Tongue Tied by the way guys.
In the netherlands we call that a ✨RODDELBAAN✨
Id be that guy who sneaks their on a rainy weekend and go for a slide

Winterrodelbahn halt.. Das gibt's hier in Deutschland eigentlich alle par 100 Km mal
Wonder if that sasquatch rides it at night when no one is around, lol😆
By far not the longest. Average length...
I forgot this song existed
Hmm is this safe tho I can’t trust it yet
I absolutely love Colorado!!
Fun slide, but if you like speed you need to wait two to four times more than they say you should after the previous person before going down. Some slow asshole is always crawling their way to the bottom and slowing down everyone behind them.
They have one of these but much much older in Minnesota. It’s called the Lutsen Alpine Slide. I’ve been doing it for 40 yrs. So it’s older than that.
Amazing
I grew up riding one of these at my local ski resort
Why do you sound like Elmo when saying “This is so cool!”?

It’s not a slide, it’s a toboggan
I did the alpine slide like 10 years ago I’ll never forget that
He clearly never been to europe
We call them Toboggans in Australia
I rode this. It’s pretty fun unless the person in front of you goes too slow.

Uhhh hey guys....I left all my stuff up at the top....
I would have it pinned the whole time 😂
I did this 30 years ago at Action Park in Jersey. It was concrete so if you fell the road rash was bad, but it was so much fun and worked in the very same way.
In Germany I did a ton of those and they are so much fun!!
Question: Why would you want to control your speed? Lol not knowing what’s gonna happen was always the best part of my childhood

Thats just a regular alpine coaster, these things are super common in the alps, especially along the Germany/Austria border region. You can find them in every second village pretty much and some even look like mini rollercoasters. Also I kinda doubt that this one is even close to being the longest alpine coaster out there.
that's called a taboggan in australia. i didn't realize that the whole world doesn't have these?!?!?

Vivo barefoot shoes 👌🏽
I jumped off with my cart on a concrete alpine slide before and got cut up bad 💀
Other slides let you see what's going on around you, instead of canopying the whole thing. The way it is, you could have the same (non-) experience anywhere in the world.
I've always wanted to try that.
My crazy ass would just go full speed until i shot myself off the track lmao
MAX SPEED ALL THE WAY DOWN. Well, except when I go back up to look for animals and plant life.
That's what I'm talking about!! I hope I get to do this some day soon

The first alpine slide I remember was ar action park. Same premise just concrete vs metal.
