Back watching this, I was a mere child when I first watched this. Now I'm going to college and I realize the older you get the less friends you have. You should appreciate everything around you, such as family, friends, and yourself. Make a difference and you'll be a happier person

Now, I have a wonderful girlfriend 1 year strong, wouldn't trade anything in the world for her. Still living by the same principles. Don't be afraid to say "I love you" to your friends and family. Relationships; Family is precious. Whoever is reading this now, You are loved, make sure to remind the most important person in your life that...You.

well that was.... awkward.... nice ending though.... but deep down everyone is lonely in some sense... especially those who "need" someone to fill that loneliness.... we all have our own worlds in which we exist to the exclusion of everybody else... but to be alone without the weight of being lonely comes through the ability to be a complete person.. a mistake that most people make is that a relationship is going to solve their problems of loneliness and be able to make them whole and complete... and that is why most relationships fail....

Dear Tony, Terrance, and Rolan ~ Please pardon some of the less than eloquent mutterings of my thick-headed fellow Americans -- your film is exquisite! It is a symphony, a poem, a bouquet of loveliness. It is quite evident that every single second of this movie was artfully crafted. The delight of nuance, of restraint, of suggestion, of the simple gesture is everywhere in evidence. Bravo for taking your time to get it just right. How few of the contributions to KZread ever strive to meet such high standards. This video was truly a treat and I hope that you continue to work your magic in the digital arts and bring greater gifts to the world in the years to come. Bravisimo!

Introverts enjoy being alone and even prefer it, you're just anti-social or another depressed teenager slinging names of things you think suit you onto yourself because you read it on the internet. That or you actually went to a psychologist who deemed you to be introverted, in which case he was wrong since introverts don't usually feel the NEED to be with someone like that french dude up there.

***** introverts get lonely too(that's why introverts can have friends or partners or whatever)...and it's not a psychological problem! a psychologist isn't like 'ah, I see the problem...you're an introvert.' it's just a trait, like being funny, or courageous, etc.

I'm really glad I'm not the only one who thought the guy was creepy for staring so long, and with such a blank expression. It was pretty obvious the girl noticed him and even stared back for a minute, yet got no reaction from him and so looked away again, yet he till just stared. She even looked a bit uncomfortable, but maybe that's just me. Anyway, the animation itself was fantastic. The story, not so much.

A nicely told romantic tale. Anyone alone but not by choice can empathize with this character. @ those who do not understand, raised in a world where you have been taught to be afraid of anyone you do not know - a person, this character, a man, can be so captivated by their perception of beauty that for a moment the rest of the world can slip into obscurity and only the vision they perceive remains. A world of thoughts can happen in that instant. This is not "weird", this is natural! Beautiful!

I hope one day you can find someone to love (unless of course, you're asexual, I just hope you can be happy then). I must disagree with the part of your comment where you say "the loneliness of singleness of bachelors", though. I've seen similar stories with female roles. Sincerely, a random teenage boy.

Erik Boström Love is a weird thing - I have had a marriage where I thought - well this must be what love is - it wasn't but I didn't know until some years passed and I truly fell in love after meeting someone is odd circumstances, He was the love - gone now - I don't have confidence to do what friends suggest and 'get out there' - never really did - I hope you meet someone but from my experience it happens when you least expect it, But I understand bullying that erodes self esteem - just hold your head up and don't let the bullies win.

To reveal much of the character's past in a series of still images was brilliant. A great short.

If I ever stared at a woman like that she would call the cops. Cop: So you like to stare at white women do you? Me: It's not like that, I just... Cop: You're a sick SICK bastard! Me: I'm not like that, please just listen to me. Cop: He's resisting arrest! *slams head on table* You're going away for a long LONG time, you son of a bitch!

For your first animated short that is very good work, well done. Sometimes the most words that can be said are the words said in silence without saying a thing. There's a great deal of honesty and volume in silence.

+Lyka Wallace He didn't stare at her. He's self-absorbed. She mistook that he's staring her. That's why he was a bit surprised too when he realized it and actually saw the girl at 4:42.

I think a few commenters missed the point- the everyday becomes beautiful when you focus on it. A dream is ultimately a distraction as by its nature it can never be realised.
