The Lion King: The B-Movie That Could

Since its release in mid-1994, "The Lion King" became not only a staple of many childhoods but also became many people's favorite Disney movie both of the 90s and in general, including myself. However, while we may know the story of "The Lion King", did you know there was cynicism involved in the making of the film? From questioning the inclusion of Elton John to treating the film as second banana to "Pocahontas", those moments, though upsetting, didn't discourage the film's production team. This documentary will explain how these "pessimistic moments" lead to film we know now.
Happy 30th anniversary to "The Lion King" today. It deserved the love it gained. If you enjoyed the video, don't forget to give it a like, subscribe and share to both it and my channel!

Wow, did you really interview the directors for your video? That's cool. I personally believe a Disney executive named Charlie Fink came up with the core concept of the film. The "Bambi in Africa" pitch came from him.

@@archelaus1598No, I didn't actually interview the directors. They're archived interviews, though would have been cool if they did. I hope Rob Minkoff and Roger Allers watch the video one day.
