I just finished buying 2 in the red color, but the green is awesome too. They're totally worth the money, if they came down to $30 range I would buy 3-5 more. The tinder materials that you showed were fantastic, I'm getting some of them. Nice presentation.

thats a really clever idea, if you have no experience using a firesteel then I can bet that you will probably knock your tinder all over the place trying to get a fire started with a conventional steel. That tube catches the striker every time and concentrates the sparks. Brilliant idea but wow the price is eye watering.

Is it expensive..yes..BUT you have a product to last a lifetime it’s a sturdy build that’s bulky enough to use even with frost bitten ...even with good dexterity conventional models tend to feel awkward to use for this reason it’s great for newbies ! The fact you can replace the perishable parts makes it worth the initial investment especially if you are a enthusiast who regularly strikes over 50 years you could burn through 20+ $10 starters so it works out cheaper!!

I bought a bag of fatwood from Home Depot. Soaked sticks of it in a bucket of water for 9 days. It froze into an ice block the last 2 days of it. I broke it out of ice, used a regular ferro rod and it lit within 3 strikes, go check it out on my page I videoed it when I did it, you see me breaking it out of the ice till it lights. The bag of fatwood was 6 dollars and had about 50 sticks in it.

I think you have stumbled upon one of the greatest fire starters in history of modern Fire Starting kits yes from all the videos I watched on it I'm invested in probably three or four or five of them before the end of the year I think it's that extra power rod for each one and a couple of little a starter packs I think that's all a person would need that Terry some tender around some small small pile of kindling always keep in your pack you're talkin to me there's no reason why you can't have a fire anytime you want I'm back before the end of the month I will have one of these lightning strikes in my kit just like I was listening to one of the one of KZread channels couple minutes ago talking about the lightning strike he says that if you need to worry about the price it is in the you think you cost too much and you need to stay in the city and I believe that's about true but you coming from long-term survivalist a person who spent many years in the wilderness and I die everybody like I said it looks like it's a really good thing I'm down with it well after watching several videos and stuff and seeing about all what I can do and how well it works I am buying one for right now and I probably have at least four or five more before the end of the year for my family kudos to the man who invented the lightning strike and you really outdid yourself and again to these people that are pushing these ideas and actually giving real world test just to show how good it is she all are doing a great job keep up the great work

Awesome video boss enjoying the content and I don't agree with the price point for the item. Like your video show there are many Fire tenders fire fuel sources That work very well and ignite rather easily. Maybe you should do a video on the comparison between strikers.

The last Firestarter you showed is okay but there is a guy who goes by the name Alfie and I can't remember what the other part of his name is it could be Astentatiou? He's from the UK. He had a fire starter that work like a plunger and he pulls it out and this thing just started the qinling on fire I mean you have to blow on it.

I just got mine in the mail. Yeah, i cringed when i placed the order on Amazon, but to me it was worth it when i was able to light a fire after 2 strikes. I'm pretty clumsy with a knife and ferro rod, and tend to trash my piles of tinder with my knife when striking the rod. This holds it in places and directs the sparks into the tinder. $70 bucks is pretty steep, no argument, but if you suck at free hand ferro striking, it might be worth it to you to pick one up or make one in the garage.

Awesome video like always. Such a cool looking fire starter, expensive but cool. A strange thing to point out, but it's green. All or most fire starters I have seen tend to be orange maybe red or yellow. Most humans tend to associate different colours for different things, so a green fire starter is different. I am not saying this in any negative way. Just thinking out loud. My first thought was its green then I went to big.

65 is steep but it is nice, be good for teen age kids who want to start fires with a steel.

$60.. I missed quoted but it is $67 after taxes, shipping, and insurance. They self adjusted for their amazon listing and added everything in.

Sorry, but this thing walks up to ridiculous, smacks it on the back of the head, and then runs down the road about 500 more miles before turning around and blowing a raspberry. $60 for a ferro rod and a piece of aluminum tube that prevents you from having access to the whole rod? For 1/3 that price you could get a BlastMatch that does the same thing, but you can use it 1-handed. If you're in an accident and have a broken arm, you can still use a BlastMatch easily. In addition, you would have enough money left over to buy 4 Morakniv 511 knives.

Dude I can take fatwood and a regular ferro rod and light it every time within 3 scrapes. Most times 1 scrape. The ferro rod was 5 dollars and the fatwood was free. I use a cheap utility knife to scrape it, 2 dollars for the knife at Harbor Freight probably about the same price in Walmart. 70 bucks? How much they pay you to review this bullshit?

Another paid sponsor, toting about how great a product is. i'll stick with my ferro rod, magnesium rod, along with fatwood, vaseline soaked cotton balls, and have lighten hundreds of fires with no issues.

At that price it's no wonder china sells so much stuff. Why are american companies so greedy??? Good product clearly but i wouldn't purchase this as a matter of principle. Get real guys, lose your arrogance and get back to being competitive with your prices!

They/we arent greedy. They simply charge for the work they put into their products. You gotta understand china continuously and purposely devalues their currency to the outside markets. allowing them to still make "living" wages in their country but make it Hard as hell for domestic business in various countries to thrive and compete in the Manufacturing realm ! Messed up but true.
