Thank you so much for your efforts to preserve the history of the old EU. You're a bastion of light in this dark and oppressive Disney regime where they make every attempt to try to bury the past and sweep it under the rug so nobody will remember it ten years from now... dark times. My only advice would be to try to challenge yourself by branching into areas you're not necessarily a big fan of, and also to focus more on the obscure parts of lore, like the Star Wars Adventure Journals, for example.

The only reason why I'm not 100% sold on Obi-Wan coming from Stewjon, is because Lucas was just trolling Jon Stewart, but something similar already happened with Admiral Motti that got is first name (Conan) because he was a guest on the "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" show, and took the "inspiration" for the admiral's full name. There's a lot of trolling, with Lucas, and I loved it so much.

Nice bio of Obi-Wan Kenobi. A video on Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader would be interesting to watch.

The following is in the video description but I have placed it here for convenience: Regarding his home world: While its now canonically accepted that his home world is "Stewjon", this, in my opinion, was never meant to be serious. In an interview with comedian and actor Jon Stewart, George Lucas, when asked what Obi-wan's home world was, gave a very tongue and cheek answer "Stewjon" an anagram of the host's name. I don't think he at all put any serious thought into or really cared what obi-wan's home world was and, being a Jedi that was raised in the temple anyways, it's irrelevant. As for the rest of the EU, it's not something that's super touched on and most source books list Coruscant as his home world. In some older media it was postulated that Tatooine may have been his birthplace. To satisfy all three, I worded my script to imply that it is an in-universe debate among galactic historians as to what his home world was. Kenobi's birthplace had really no influence or bearing on him as a person anyways being a Jedi.

*THIS **_IS_** THE REAL OBI WAN*

The other day I finished the latest Star Wars: Brotherhood novel and I must tell you about something very traumatic that I saw. In the novel there is a part, where Anakin's appointment to Jedi Knight is given and among those present is Siri Tachi, but it is not Siri Tachi. The character really has no relationship with the original that we all knew, because he does not have his Padawan Ferus Olin, the relationship that he could have or not with Obi Wan is completely irrelevant, because he spends more time thinking about Satine in almost the whole novel and basically it's just someone with the same face, appearance and name, nothing more. This makes me wonder, at what point did they think it would be a good idea to bring a character back just to completely disconnect him from his original self and everything that made his story special. It was completely unnecessary.

Because all the George Lucas characters must be destroyed in order for their gynocentric ones to look good at all.

How does Siri being in the novel(putted because the author is a big EU fan) destroys her character? It certainly changes her story but "destroys" her character?

@@orbaitv5991 1. Siri Tachi was created by an author who was hired by Lucasfilm that was run by George Lucas. Calling her a Lucas character simply recognizes the two eras (Lucas era vs Disney era) 2. They were never Disney characters and I never said they were. What made you think that? 3. Any changes to her story is a change to her character. Or are you a Filoni fan who thinks the changes to Asajj Ventress and Quinlan Vos and Thrawn and Anakin didn't destroy their character? I want these Disney era authors to leave the EU alone. Stop pulling in these characters if you aren't going to maintain the continuity of when we saw them last which we know Disney doesn't.

Once again, vod another great deep dive bio. Loving the new intro and sound. I do have a quick question. I am making a character for a star wars ttrpg with some friends and I am creating a Mando, but want to use more legends material then cannon. I've got a few ideas, outside of coming up with my own battles but I want to have a few key battles taking place within the first year (as the game takes place during the second year) of the clone wars that doesn't break continuity. A few ideas I have are rhen var, kamino, and altyr 5, but due to my limited legends knowledge don't know if having him in those battles would break continuity. So I ask, what are some small or key battles that I could use to make him fit in continuity while establishing his story?

In my last video on Kharys I did, however i made a continuity gaffe. I mistakenly had siri Siri Tachi's death in 20 bby but it was actually a few months later. It wasnt until I re-read the jedi apprentice and jedi quest books for research for this video that I realized my error.

Hey Tadd, that's a different topic, but could you elaborate more on your thoughts regarding George Lucas's sequel trilogy, the one with Darth Maul and "Darth Talon" and the fact it would have apparently ignored most, if not all of the post-rotj Expanded Universe? What do you think it tells us about GL's approach to the EU continuity?

Why exactly do you show the Force ghost of Anakin with Sebastian Shaw's appearance in the theatrical cut of Return of the Jedi? Anakin's old look as a Force ghost officially changed to Anakin's characterization by Hayden Christensen in 2004 because of the use of his image as the redeemed Jedi in the first DVD release of the Original Trilogy.
