That was one thing I noticed all of my flight attendants had; really well done hair & makeup....they were always so well put together, I don’t understand how they do it, seeing as they live out of suitcases. Must be stressful.

When you mentioned your 14 hour night duty, it reminded me of a flight I tried to take many years ago (I think it was United flying out of Chicago to Los Angeles). The plane left the gate late. The pilot then comes on the intercom and says we need to return to the gate so the mechanics can look at an issue. After a while back at the gate, the flight attendants made an announcement that they're allowed duty hours have (or will) be exceeded, and they no longer can do this flight. They leave the aircraft, just leaving us passengers on board. A short time later we (the passengers) all have to leave the aircraft and wait in the terminal. The flight ends up being cancelled. Another of my experiences "flying the friendly skies."

This was so interesting to watch. We have the same type of trips but never had a name for them. Also it might sound crazy but I feel like I saw you in the airport almost a year ago but I didn't realize it was you lol. Anyway cheers from a fellow FA. Great content hun.

Being a waitress and flight attendant is totally different??? Being a waitress doesn’t help you at all. Just saying. But i would recommend not doing the flight attendant school. Doesn’t help you in anyways and airlines will retrain you. So maybe try applying for an actual airline and they will train you.

Would love to see you doing a long haul flight and seeing what you are doing during the flight! Love your videos and you are so beautiful. You rock !!!

do you take melatonin on nights where you know you wont be getting a full 8 hours of sleep? like only 6. I get nervous to take it thinking ill be too groggy to get up in the morning.

My airline used to do these and we called them high speeds! Work the last flight out and bring the first flight back in. We don’t do them anymore because of FAA’s regulation for pilot’s rest

We called them "Stand-up's" when I was a flight attendant. Pretty much referred to sleeping standing up.

We call it Standups at my airline. I hate them so much. One time we were delayed so much. Landed at 1:30am, and our van back to the airport was scheduled for 4:30am. 😭

Nurses do ODAN all the time, but I have a feeling taking a nap would be frowned upon, lol

We call them Split Duties (one duty split over two days). They also have to be short flights. I like requesting them before a vacation so you know your last day working you will finish really early. 👋🏼

I only went on plane twice in my life.

Be careful with buying random chargers on amazon. I bought some super long ones with good reviews and it started messing up my battery and would take charge. I found out that there are a lot of bad chargers out there that are bad for your phone

Yesss! I would always buy random chargers and it actually made my iPhone 6 completely fried. I got a guy to try to replace the battery, he tried 3 different batteries and nothing. I literally had to get a completely new iPhone out of pocket because I had no insurance or warranty

Customer service is in high demand. We deal with so many different people who have different needs and personalities. You have to a tolerance for rudeness and evil people. The nice well mannered people are the best and it’s nice when they appreciates you. But when you get a rude person happy then you know you’re at your best😍

We do these all the time in London we call them a Split Duty

I just recently subscribed cause i plan to become a flight attendant and i have 8 ear piercings and everywhere i look it says attendants can only have one earring in each ear, but i notice you have a second earring in! Does your airline allow more than one earring? Do you know of any airlines that do. I really dont wanna part ways with my piercings ):

I just did ODAN! LAX to Vegas. Behind the door rest was 4 hour...

I just found you on You Tube- and I'm excited. :) I'm an international disaster response nurse so I travel ALL.THE TIME......like, ALL.THE TIME....and I'd love a video on "what flight attendants wish their passengers would know" :) Things you wish we'd do or not do, and .....man, I wish people would learn to DE PLANE quicker...airlines are booking shorter and shorter layovers, even international trips, and I constantly am in a rush and need to get the heck off right away to run to my flights. Do flight attendants HATE when we ask to have help getting off from the back of the plane to the front quickly? Sometimes I need to ask........

@@elyzazaza I work for an organization where we respond to refugee camp situations (I was in Bangladesh for a Diphtheria outbreak) Ebola (deployed 2 x to Liberia for Ebola, getting ready to deploy to Congo), hurricanes, earthquakes, we put up a field hospital in Mosul, Iraq and had a trauma hospital, etc....

How well is the pay for flight attendants? I know it’s probably different with each airline but I’m really interested in it

I want to become a flight attendant when I get out of college. Is there any advice or things I should know. I am a Junior in highschool so I still have time but I would still like to know any tips or things to know about becoming a flight attendant.

Wanna til about shitty schedules? I’m a pediatric resident (aka doctor in my first 3 years out of school) and I did a 28 hour shift last week. Start at 5:30AM and don’t finish until as late as noon the next day. I got lucky and was able to take a 45 min nap on my last one.... it’s ridiculous that crap like this is legal

Back in the glory days we called these trips: "stand-ups."

Do you get paid for being on-call even if you don’t get called in?

Can flight attendants stay at the places they’re going to? For example if the flight was at Florida could they stay there for 3 days or so?

Vlogsby Sab in Australia unless someone is sick or something the same crew flies return flight but you do get staff travel so free or very cheap depending on the airline you work for.

Yes and no - at the end of the day you are working and they are responsible for getting you home. you'd have set flights to a new location and back but most airlines would give you staff discounts and cheap flights anyway

Have you heard of the Hot Logic Mini? It’s like a lunchbox with a hot plate. Would heatup leftovers like chipotle:)
