I laughed from the very beginning until the very end. This movie never stops being funny but the action scenes are also good, although unlike Deadpool, in which humour and action were too mixed so that you couldn't follow the action properly, this movie chose to be all for the laughs. There are a few sub-plots that might be unnecessary or some opportunities missed for making it a little bit greater, but, overall, it is a great movie which everyone will like.
My eyes were physically streaming, they hurt so bad trying to keep up with everything. A fantastic film that will need to be watched again and again to catch every gag xxx
this is arguably one of the best batman movies ive seen and I've seen them all!
i think kermode would make an incredible batman..
it is just not a movie aimed at children. I watched it with sons aged 17 and 20 who have watched everything from the '60s series onwards and they got far more jokes than I had- even down to the bat suit with nipples. genius.
Very relieved to hear good things about this. The games are known for their humour, so my expectations were high.
With how bad hollywood comedies seem to be lately this will probably end up being in the top 3 best comedies of the year.
With so many gags and visuals in the movie, I actually fell asleep for a few moments. I needed a quick power nap to re-energize.
Spot-on review. So many gags going on you're laughing at things that aren't even in the main storyline. And some major adult gags that kids will miss :D
Mark's looking very dapper today
Everything is awesome
Underrated film. Genuinely funny for everyone
Sounds kinda like Deadpool, just animated and for families. I'm sold.

I'd say it's better. Deadpool was satisfied with JUST being a 4th wall breaker making fun of stuff. The LEGO Batman movie, though, has a surprising amount of depth that really dresses down this series and infuses it with a lot of heart that even some of the most heralded other versions might miss. The creative team behind this are true Batman fans and it shows.
I might have to watch this with Subtitles. I wouldn't be surprised if this the best DC movie of the year,
The Fortress of Solitude is a party location. Ha! And Batman wasn't invited. 🙂
How the duck did this not get an Oscar nomination
I'll see it
I really enjoyed it. In my review I mentioned how the audience basically ruined the show for me so I'm going to see it again. I also felt like the jokes were going so fast I couldn't get everything. :D

I saw it with a family that thought it best to let their child scream and stand up throughout the movie while they sat there with a sometimes-crying baby. We get it. You bred, so we all have to suffer... the theatre gave free passes out to everyone as we left. I don't know how that was better than throwing out the offenders, but I'll say it was stand-up of them to do that at least.

+fitz33 There was a time, not so long ago, where kids/families like that would be thrown out. Nowadays the cinema staff are so scared of 'offending' anyone that they ignore it, making everyone else suffer instead of the few. My mate works at our local cinema and one time he was going to step in to tell a talking couple to keep quiet but his manager told him not to interfere so that there wasn't a scene. Unbelievable.

At my showing a woman brought a picnick basket to the cinema with sandwiches wrapped in tin foil (very noisy to unwrap). One woman was constantly on her phone, but she kept turning it on and off, so her light was flashing so it was a constant distraction (I'm talking about every 2-3 minutes). Her child was trying to talk to her but she ignored him so he just shouted louder and louder for the whole film. A guy went to the toilet and decided to walk out of the fire exit, flooding half the screen in sunlight so it was unwatchable for 30 seconds or so. And then general talking and noisy crying kids. It was chaos.

People do not go to the cinema to deal with the unruly behaviour of others. They should serious do more kid friendly shows, and be way firmer with people being loud (I remember that cinema advert of Lara croft banging the guys heads together really clearly).
Bats man?
Really funny film.
Mark I don't think you were watching too slow.
Thought it was just okay
I loved this movie. :)
CGI sure has advanced in recent years lol
Better than with real actors I reckon...
If Mark was such a big 'Everything is Awesome' fan, I'm surprised he didn't enjoy Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.
Wasn't the take away point of 'everything is awesome' to be wary of blind conformism? Not that working as a team is great.
The Batmans
Puh, puh, puh I love these silly films.

Literally watched this video at 2x speed. Do people really feel he talks too fast?
It was too dark. Senseless violence, the Christopher Reeve and Columbine jokes were inappropriate and the sex scene between Robin and lego Fabio was unnecessary. Batman v Superman is the superior film and should have had several Oscar nominations.
Personally, I found ‘The LEGO Batman Movie’ torturous. Admittedly, I smirked at it three or four times, but the problem was that there must have been two thousand gag lines to achieve that total. I got so bored that I started to look around the packed theatre and noticed that it was, as expected, mostly teenagers. However, despite them being the target audience, a notable amount of them were just staring their phones out, completely ignoring the big screen; two girls started to mimic the lines of the film in loud voices, presumably in an attempt to make their own fun; and a number of the smaller children were wandering about up and down the aisle stairs. From beginning to end there was very little in the way of laughter, and at the end everyone filed out at quietly as at a funeral. Hardly an engaged audience, and despite the bad etiquette, I can’t blame them. 1/5

Feline Fatale Of course it is. Batman is a completely arrogant egotistical jerk in this movie, yet the public loves him. That's what make it so funny.

Andy G, The Lego Batman Movie is not a great movie.
I fell asleep in it, didn't connect at all
One of the funniest films I've seen ages. So much fun. Great for Batfans.
Why is it always Toy Story 2? It's the worst one.
