I assume just like how in skyward sword, you got shield upgrades and better shields, but you can eventually get the hylian shield which is the sturdiest shield in the game, here I bet you can get all different sorts of armor with varying defenses, but eventually get the green tunic which would have the highest defense

God i just love how there is a physics engine now when they get hit. As well as the enemies dropping their weapons. Also different weapons for short long and medium range is awesome as well. I love this game already!!!

I'm loving the weapon management and inventory! The variety of weapons is great so far.

they explained it in the sense that you would use the right side of your controller to attack, and that it would be more comfortable to do it that way. Zelda games that require you to use the wiimote had link right handed because most players hold the wiimote in their right hand (this is why if you went back and bought TP for the wii U it looks different, he was originally left handed in the gamecube version but the map was mirrored for the wii so link could be right handed) every link is related to one another, but the right handedness just has to do with the games play-style. he is, however part of the fallen-hero timeline. you can google where breath of the wild fits and you'll see many articles on it. but if you didn't know, SS is supposedly the very first chapter in the series.

yea, it definitely comes after OoT but whether it comes before or after TP is still up to confirmation (my guess is after based on the state of the temple of time shown in either this video or another one. yes, that ruined castle with it's roof caved in is the temple of time) but of course we'll have to wait until the game is released and the story is revealed to do some actual puzzle solving

The cooking method can only reduce the amount of nutrients destroyed, not eliminate. There will always be nutrients destroyed by any cooking method.

Frame drops are probably due to: 1) streaming the game from the system and 2) the fact that it is a build of the game and not the fully developed game.

Breath of the wild is estimated to be 360 square kilometers or 223.694 square miles in overworld size, Just cause 2 is known to be 400 square miles in world size. Although I must admit that Breath of the wild is quite a lot of world to traverse on foot and horseback. I am still pretty excited for it.

As soon as I saw that you could equip a greatsword, I told myself I needed this game.

This game is already blowing away my expectations. IT LOOKS SO GOOD

Proves once more that stylized visuals are a great way to compensate for a lack of hardware. The game definitely isn't the most impressive one in terms of visuals, not even on Wii U, yet it undoubtedly is pretty to look at and the style immediately sucks me into the world.

It's interesting that so much of this is not using the touchscreen - To me it makes more sense to use touch screen menus when you have such a large inventory to manage. It would make the potion mixing and cooking much easier to manage and you could see your entire arsenal at a glance without having to open up a menu.

I've always got SAO on the brain. Every video game I look at, I think "How would that work as a full-dive VR game?" Looking at how far VR has come in the last few years, I wouldn't be surprised to have access to full-dive technology in the next few decades.

This has given me a will to live again

I hope they add those "black bars" for the final product you know when you lock on an enemy. I think it adds more tensity in your fight

TheSmooth It actually is, compared to Oblivion and all the other games before it. In fact Skyrim was so bad they HAD to go back and do a "remaster" to fix all the textural mistakes. They practically shoehorn you into the story of the game, promising some majestic open world where you can do what you want. Except for the fact that you can't, and half the things you had to work to accomplish in Oblivion is handed to you in Skyrim. Like joining the thieve's guild. In Oblivion you actually HAD to be a thief and there was a goal to reach before you were even allowed to join. In Skyrim, you could be the paladin of the highest order and the guy will STILL approach you. If you haven't played any other game other than Skyrim from the franchise, I highly suggest that you do.

Wow that item pickup sound effect gets annoying fast, considering the amount of pickups in this game. Please let there be an option to disable it.

The pause when getting items from a chest in OoT got really annoying and there was no option for that. Besides, she said the info and sound are only when you first get an item of that type. Doesn't seem to happen after that. Watch at 4:03.

as long as it does not reset when you start the system back up...like in a previous title that will go unnamed.

Yeah, I'll admit I jumped the gun, posted the comment before watching that point. At least it only makes the sound and text the first time, hence the '????' above undiscovered items.

17:31 once that guardian activates, climb the stone wall and shoot arrows to destroy it from a higher level. You can also use the "glider" to get airbourne off the wall and fly towards it shooting bomb arrows into its eye. KABOOM! lol

Seeing the Calamity Ganon swirling around that Mount in the background really stresses me out.

Hopefully no motion control is integrated this time

There is. And it's better for it. aiming and controlling the magesis power etc. is done with motion which is great since it's much quicker and more accurate. Also, you'll be able to simultaneously move the character, move the camera _and_ aim. Motion controls are great if implemented properly. It just took time for developers to adopt the possibilities and design good implementations for them.

Motion controls weren't bad in skyward sword imo. If you were having trouble you could just recalibrate it and it also made the game feel more immersive.

ruinrake I thought it was really great in Skyward Sword. I look forward to the day Nintendo ventures into dual-handed motion controllers again. Oculus Touch controllers look like a great evolution of that actually. VR will hopefully provide a re-entry for motion controls.

I agree, man. I didn't like them in the others and they take away from the awesome swordman's skills part, which are awesome.

Nice to know the weapon triangle applies to Zelda as well.
