I remembered being sooo disgusted after watching Bob Sagets stand up routine! He was definitely part of the cesspool. But I've never heard or seen anything negative about Ritter whatsoever, from the time he played the Pastor on the Waltons to his last episode on 8 Simple Rules. One of my favorite Slingblade quotes! Karl is so sweet to Vaughn & doesn't think just because he's gay, God won't throw him into Hades because he treats Frank & everybody so kind. 😢 Karl (Actor Billy Bob Thorton): I don't reckon you have to go with women to be a good daddy to a boy. You been real square-dealin' with me. The Bible says two men ought not lay together. But I don't reckon the Good Lord would send anybody like you to Hades. That Frank, he lives inside of his own heart. That's an awful big place to live in. You take good care of that boy. [walks off] Vaughan Cunningham ( Actor John Ritter): I will. Karl?
