Pretty sure Joel's a figment of Ellie's imagination in this trailer. Doesn't look like he's aged much, and it seems weird that he'd calmly walk into the house to talk to Ellie after a goddamn shootout. Plus Joel's murder would be a good explanation for why Ellie is so bloodthirsty.

Na, it wasn't. Unfortunate too. While I love the game, the inclusion of this scene could have made the game that much better. Could have been a dream sequence similar to Abby's dream sequences. Specifically the one where she opens the door and sees her dad.

Sent shivers down my spine with Joel's reveal. Glad to see the old man is still kicking.

the plot was rewritten in 2017 when Bruce stranly left. I’m pretty sure this game had a similar development cycle as uncharted 4 with a lot of work being tossed halfway through.

Neil said that some of the leaks were fake and some were real I’m assuming the gameplay and cutscenes and Abby were real but the green text spoiling the whole story wasn’t

I don’t feel betrayed, just hurt.... they made me feel how I expect these games to make me feel

My guess is that she just imagined Joel (Bc she seems much older whereas he didn't seem to age much) and he's actually dead. Maybe the fireflies killed Joel for taking Ellie and now she's after revenge and all the moral hardships that come with that so she's imagining Joel to help her. Hence why she sings that she can't walk down the path of the right because she's wrong. I'm so hyped

Dishanti Thomas True. But Ellie looks like she's in her mid 20's now, and the way Joel emerged from a bright white light may be hinting at something. And he asks her what she's doing as if he hasn't been with her. Idk, it's fun to speculate and this is kinda what I'm hoping for. it'll be awesome no matter what tho

I think Elle looks early 20's at most. More like 18/19. She was only 13 in the first game, if I remeber right.

I've been waiting a long long time for this

5 years...man it feels like it was a few months ago.

Does anyone else get the sense Joel isnt really there and Ellie is only speaking to his memory? What else would drive her to go on a murder kick but his death? Or maybe I've been watching too much Westworld. Either way, this trailer makes me want to cry. So many feels. I cannot wait until I can play this.

Im going to be broke after 2017 because of the video games and movies that they are going to realest
